My five year old grandson has agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. Up to this point he and his physical and mental development are perfectly normal. An otherwise healthy, intelligent and happy little boy.
@DEARMINTA this guy dearminta is a rock star in this incredibly rare field/niche' of cognetive development. Frankly, as for me, if large ears meant increased knowledge in this field, I wish his ears were larger than Dumbo's. My one year old baby is diagnosed with full ACC. She is having seizures daily, not crawling, not identifying parents.she is not moving her left hand. Is it possible to grow the corpus callosum ?

My Son has dysgenesis of the corpus callosum in other words its malformed rather than absent. .His symptoms however are mire severe than any case I have seen in looking this up. My son is 12 and we were told this when he was 4. We were told he had global delay and he was starting t try to talk but then his speech got worse. Not at 12 years old he is mostly non verbal with words like dad, ready and duck being his only regular words. He is mentally maybe around a year to 18 months and still in not using the toilet. Does this sounds like a corpus callosum issue as this seems much more severe than any case I have seen although he did have 1 seizure when he was 4 and this was when the MRI spotted this issue. Any advice anyone could give would be appeciated.

Your son's school likely won't do much to help without prompting them so you and your son have to speak with medical specialists like neuropsychiatrists for more information so that you can then learn as much as possible about what your son needs. This should hopefully allow you to know what it is you need to request of your son's teachers as special considerations such as extended deadlines for assignments and more time to complete tests or exams (these are just examples that would have helped me).
Praying one day Elon can invent a brain chip/part to help my grandson. Tube feeding for life. Will never talk, walk, C P. seizures, he chokes. So tragic and he’s blessed with loving patient parents. Praying our Lord has Mercy for our earth Angel.

Unfortunately not once you have it you have it you can't grow it back but there are some treatments for it such as seizure medication
