Thank you for the great product on the dash camera from Ombar. My wife got me this dash camera for Christmas since my drive to work is a bit longer than before so I’ll be installing this soon for better peace of mind.
I bought this via Amazon and now I'm thinking of returning it. Every 2-3 days it asks me to format memory card. I don't understand what's the point of loop recording.
Awesome video! Stupid question..since it has 3 way recording, does the video playback display the entire screen for the front facing cam? Does it save all 3 camera views in separate files?
It is possible that this guy doesn't actually use these more than just in the reviews? As there aren't any followups on products that I can see myself yet. Would be good for followup videos on these products of dashcams. The M550 looks almost identical physically to the Australian Uniden 75R and 90R. Though the M550 is like a third the cost for the full system. Just not sure if the Uniden uses the same "China made" poor quality.
can you tell me a few things, 1 on the wifi can you make the camera join a wifi ssid or do you have to join the camera only? on file transfer do you know if it supports FTP , samba , nfs? I want to set up a dash cam system than can join my home wifi, and then have my server copy the recordings to my server . but to do that it needs two things to beable to join a wifi and use some standard file sharing protocol .. Lastly ,can you set it up where in interirar cam can point at the drivers window to include interactions at that location ?
You can’t set up the camera to join an SSID. It broadcasts an SSID. So no, you won’t be connecting it to a NAS. As far as camera location, it does have some flexibility. Mileage will vary based on where you place the camera and your vehicles’ layout.

You didn’t show us the rear camera or how to connect it
It connects directly into the forward facing camera and it has an adhesive that sticks to the inside of your back windshield

I just installed this myself. The display shows all 3, and the videos are saved separately

Can you compare it with azdome m550 pro? Which one do you think has better recording quality?
