theyre great rifles for sure. i didnt think i could love it more but after i put a geisslle mk8 rail on it,im in love. i just dont care for their stock and pistol grip.if u want a good grip that has good grip get the magpul k2plus. i love it, fills the hand and has a 17 degree angle which is comfortable and the plus is a rubber outer shell that lets you hold onto the rifle like glue.

Great SETUP Daniel Defense makes AWESOME STUFF! One suggestion replace the 100mph tape that you have on your sling with some Hockey Tape it works MUCH BETTER and it will NOT LEAVE a Glue Residue! That is a something that I was instructed to use on Gear during my time in the Military because it does not make noise like 100mph tape can and it can also damage the Nylon Webbing depending where it was made. I Agree with you 100% the Picatinny Rail on the Mk18 is a BEAST but it will go to HELL with you and bring you back after asking for seconds!
Cant get enough of the MK18. Have a DD MK18 SBR clone myself and have changed some parts up. Use RC2 556 suppressor on it. Still love watching videos on this weapons system! Nice rifle man.
I shot 500 this weekend through the Gemtech BCG on a 0.7 port size Mk18. Tubb flat wire and H buffer. Ejection at 4-5 with a Sandman S. Carbine buffer, same spring, and it's at 2-3 ejection with the can. Feels like a rimfire.
Gemtech was bought by S&W and no longer make the adj-BCG. Foxtrot Mike bought the rights to manufacture but apparently the quality is not as high. They are cheap on AIM.
Hey Asher!!!!???? If you were to put a front sight like Daniel defenses front sight on the front of that rifle would the laser and the illuminator be able to get past it
The Griffin Armament SNACH is the best charging handle for suppressed weapons. I was a radian guy forever and this is cheaper and significantly better.
Update on the BCG?? How has it held up over time suppressed? I’ve been really wanting to build a suppressed dd mk18 but trying to mitigate gas as much as possible. Radian charging handle is a good look
That bolt has been through hell and definitely still mitigating a lot of gas. Still has a lot of pressure after shooting 250 rounds a range session but that is pretty normal. Overall super happy with the BCG. Recommend
I have Colt MK18 MOD 0 and MOD 1 CQBR . I've had both for 8+ years . Huge quad RAIL fan for sure. DD and Centurion are my favorite . I love how they dont heat up as much compared to MLOK . VCAS Padded 2 to 1 QD and HSP D3 are my go too slings . For my Barrel Lengths 10.3 - 12.5 I run BRT Tuned Gas Tube 0.65 , Springco Blue spring , Colt H2 and M84 AMBI Gas Buster . This combination works extremely well with my T2 TURBO K Nice Carbine Bro
@@lima3dynamics Yeah I'm a sucker for TDP Colts . Most MLOK rails are 3 to 4oz lighter depending on the rail . Those MLOK Wedgelock rails are pretty much the same weight . I have 13" Wedgelock and 12.5 Quad rail . The diffrence in weight is under 2oz . I really dont shoot barrel lengths longer than 12.5" for 556 . So 9" - 11.5" quad rail really isn't that heavy at all . Plus I love how durable they are and they dont heat up super fast when running the gun hard.

Haven’t used the QRF yet. Had the kmr and mcmr in the past. If I was to build something and choose between the two I would go for the QRF just based on price. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in either handguard.

Having just put together a RIS II FSP on a built, that lock up is extremely solid but it’s a pain in the ass if you were using a regular hex key like I was. I will definitely say BCMs hard guards install faster for me personally but I honestly feel they are both equally great. RIS II just has that nostalgia to hike up that price

Sucks about the goon tape. I actually like the stock DD pistol grip the way it is. Grippy enough for me. I also run Ferro Concepts slingsters but man the buckle seems to scratch the living hell out of my receiver. Have you found that to be the case too? A mk18 build is essentially the same as any other AR15 build. A mk 18 build or clone uses certain brand parts, barrel lengths, gas system lengths ect to mimic the military’s mk18 pattern rifles.

AR- Platform is getting more and more common because the european NATO Partners starting to change to HK416 for good reasons. Same handling/training and maintenance + easier supplychain. So i didn’t know about the „mk18“ term. But yeah it looks like it’s just an SBR or like we call it in the C (Compact) or even shorter K ( kurz/short)

You do know literally every two point sling that’s been created within the past 15 years is adjustable right? Also how many slings have you tried?
Nice rifle! SBR is the way to go for a MK18! I debated just going with a the SB brace and it just doesn't look right. Sucks to wait for the stamp, but way worth it for the cloney look. Really digging your channel BTW!!
Do the rattle can. I use some type of degreaser on the rifle first. Goo gone, or brake clean, something bjust do your research on your specific one first so you don't hurt any anodization. As it wears they look even better!

I waited almost a whole year for the damn unity mount. I run the same eotech and to be honest I’m not a big fan of unity riser. It’s way way too high. You can’t use your irons. Youlll have to unscrew the eotech to see the irons. Kinda defeats the purpose of have irons. These high mounts are over rated and I say they are only good if you’re using nods. That American defense TO ME!!! Is way better. But I waited all year for the damn unity so I just left it on there. Just saying. 🤷♂️
Definitely have a love hate relationship with risers. It’s more comfortable after you get used to it in my opinion. Did take me awhile to get used to it. I would agree that if you don’t have nods, I probably wouldn’t bother with it. Have to run offset irons if you do want to use the unity with Eotech. ADM with the quick detach isn’t so bad if you have to strip the optic and mount and use your irons.

I've found cutting an inner tube (10-speed size) works great for a little extra grip. Use a little fine sandpaper to scuff it 👍🏻

Your DA muzzle brake is off. Well, looks like it isn’t at the torque is should be.
It is, couldn’t get the shims right and broke a few and it causes me 0 issues so said let’s roll it.

How is the ris2 vs the bcm qrf...
Haven’t used the QRF yet. Had the kmr and mcmr in the past. If I was to build something and choose between the two I would go for the QRF just based on price. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in either handguard.

Somewhat. It’s a trailer for our targets and what not, and didn’t feel like battling the wind.

Yes, did a coyote cost, and then took dark brown stripes mixed with netting and then hit it with some black under the netting.

I'm surprised that's running with just a H1 buffer? I thought a shorter gun like that, especially suppressed needed a T2 or T3.
Me too, believe me I’ve thought the same thing. But i have had absolutely 0 issues running it. Daniel has it figured it out i guess.

DD addressed the gas port size and they are no longer over gassed. They’re G2G now.

I haven't found that to be the case but the whole rifle has wear and tear now on the paint so probably haven't noticed it. And thank you!
