I think the problem with hypertension is more when you have other problems already manifested (usually drug induced), such as chronic kidney disease. “patients with diabetic and nondiabetic chronic kidney disease (CKD) exhibit an increased vulnerability to even moderate BP elevations” Pathophysiology of Hypertensive Renal Damage, 2004 Otoh the kidney will fight all these blood pressure lowering meds by maximizing renin output etc so that can’t be good either
When you mention narrowing lumen does that mean the space inside the lumen is more narrow from debris as understood from context out side the walls are more weker from stress the definition of lumen is the space inside the tube I guess its self explanitory i want to be clear on this area inside as opposed to area outside the thicknesss causes resistance
The two factors you inquire about the Lumen and the thickening increase the risks of morbidity(sickness and suffering) and mortality(death, and the shortening of lifespan) .
