  • TIPS:
    1. Make sure the bobby pin you use is sturdy!
    2. If your jeans are already light like mine were and you don't want them as light as I did, use only about 1-2 cups of bleach. You can always add more if you want them lighter
    3. Have fun with this project!

I used sandpaper and it worked really good. I've also used a wire grill brush and it took less time.

Holy smokes this is by far the easiest yet best-looking distressing I've seen! Everybody else got these lengthy, multi-tool-and-step tutorials that don't even look that great when finished. Yours is the best! Thanks for the wonderful idea! :)

Loved your DIY. This has been the easiest distressed jeans tutorial that I've watched so far and I like how you lighten the jeans. I'm definitely going to do this. I have the exact same pair of Levis.

Kristen, no, it didn't disrupt the back part of the jeans. One caveat though, I used a pair of vintage Levi jeans - which were very durable.

This was so Helpful!! I cannot begin to thank you!! You see i wanted white washed jeans with tears in them. But i didnt want to cut the tears because it looked to odd and clean. But thanks to you now it looks worn out and it looks like it was so much money when in reality i did the cuts myself! Thank you again Nia B.

ok so i love the way u figured out another way of doing the jeans......I myself think found another way that i feel is faster and easy also . I would like u to try it as well and let me know what u think..... i got my foot scrub from 99 cent store the one looks metal on one side and a file on the other .....i tried it and for the first time ever and i like how they came out.. For it being my first time ever trying to do the jean thing.....
