I highly recommend listening to "Look-a-Like" from the Sonic OVA. It's a very important song in the history of Sonic. For 20 years the full song was lost media until being discovered in 2020.

Lucky for all of us, the 2011 remake of Sonic CD has both soundtracks selectable, so everyone wins. This is the version in Sonic Origins
If 2011 was confusing, the game is from 1993, but got a new Version (Mobile Game, later portet to PC by fans), which released in 2011.
Guess what? Sonic cd is a time travel game so each level has a past, present, good future AND bad future theme and given the Japanese and English are different that’s 7 different songs for ONE stage and yes it’s 7 cuz of some hardware reasons the past theme is the same for both versions but yea sonic cds ost is a massive one! Also it says 2011 cuz it’s from the rerelease

If we're staying in the "Sonic CD Realm" for reactions, one I think that'd be really funny to listen to is "Green Hills Zone" The game it comes from is *completely* unrelated to Sonic CD, besides also being a Sonic game. But the composer was working on tracks for both at the same time and carried over some... "Melodic Inspiration" Most fans call it an 8-bit remix of Sonic CD's opening lol. (Green Hills technically released first, but who's counting.)

Also, can't forget that the Team Sonic Racing remix is based of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Tranformed remix, since the track is also the exact same from Transformed, even the name is (actually, all the Seaside Hill tracks in TSR use the same level design of the previous games, having 2 tracks from the OG All-Stars Racing and one from Transformed)
In S&ASRT the remix is a combination of You Can Do Anything from Sonic CD with Super Sonic Racing from Sonic R, in TSR they made so the regular music of the stage is You Can do Anything but the final lap one is Super Sonic Racing
It's a big mashup beetween TSR, S&SASR, S&ASRT, Sonic CD, Sonic R and Sonic Heroes

Sonic CD has 2 soundtracks, the US made soundtrack, and the Japanese one, imp, the Japanese soundtrack is better, mostly because stardust speedway is a banger in that one

I think that sometime you could react to the sonic OVA, which is a partial adaptation of sonic cd divided into two 20 minute chapters, you can also react to the "look-a-like" song from the ova
Both CD endings(And soundtracks for that matter) are absolute bangers!
There's many more official songs to go through(People have suggested the themes from Riders, the OVA, 3D Blast, the rest from Heroes and Adventure 1 & 2,etc), but I hope you'll eventually check out the many fanmade songs from the community, since they're so good!
(My vote still goes to Victor McKnight's trilogy of songs based on the movies, Ready Set Go, Up 2 Speed and Darker Side of Me)
What's really cool about the Japanese ending is that the animation is less sped up, so the music is timed to the animation very smoothly.

Sonic 3D Blast also has two soundtracks, one for the SEGA Genesis version and one for the SEGA Saturn version. They are both great, so you could react to them one day if you want. There is only one vocal track for the game, which is "You're My Hero".
The random noises from the last part JP version are actually meant to play in the Post Credits scene, just to make you feel more good about yourself. If Sonic 1 was a neat game with a Pro envoirment message, Sonic CD goes to 999% with the idea, to the point in both OST make you feel misserable for making a bad future. (Except Stardust Speedway in JP OST, that's more of a boss theme lol)
But yeah going back to the point, yeah Cosmic Eternity solos-
Idk why but these 2 endings get me so emotional that I cry and idk but it just always reminds me. Man I fucking love this series lol
Cosmic Eternity used to be my favourite in terms of endings...UNTIL I heard the ending version of Sonic Boom with the acoustic finish (It didn't used to be there). Then there was no contest.
Can never get enough the CD soundtrack... Like with the openings, both endings are great in their own special way
Sonic 3D Blast also had 2 different OSTs but it didn't depend on the region but on the version of the game. There's 2: Genesis/Mega Drive version and Sega Saturn (which is commonly referred to as Sonic 3D Flickies' Island). There's also a hybrid PC version but I don't remember a lot about that one.
Sonic cd was the first sonic game with metal sonic and both the jp and us have such great themes for his race. Stardust speedway jp bad future is probably the most popular but I recommend to listening to all versions of stardust speedway.
Sonic CD was a Japanese game and it’s music was initially made by Sega in Japan. After the game was finished, Sega of America created a totally new soundtrack exclusively for US and Canada as they were scared Americans would be offput by the very electronic soundtrack. They were very wrong which lead to a heck of a lot of backlash. It has far fewer songs than the original soundtrack due to being made in a hurry, and is in a totally different style to the rest of the series, so it tends to not be favoured. The original soundtrack from Japan on the other hand is considered to be one of the all time greats for Sonic.
The JP soundtrack has a heavy club music influence, while America is mostly rock.

I recommend checking out the "Project Shadow" shortfilm by João Filipe Santiago. It is a great fan project set in the Sonic movie universe. I think you would enjoy it. Also you don't need to watch the previous sonic movies to understand what is going on, but it was made as setup for the third sonic movie. And yes, I will keep copying and pasting this same comment under all of your upcoming videos until you finally react to it.
That's dope that your reacting to this, the American version is kinda whatever and believe in yourself isn't that well known because its only on the actual original japanese and European sega cd version but its so damn good.
The us couldn't bother changing the ending they just gave us freaking sonic boom again..
Quick fun fact: the phrase "sonic boom" belongs to the Japanese cuz they said it in the lyrics of you can do anything so yhea the us didn't even do it they just stole it..

Yeah, the sonic cd is the famous doing this "relocation soundtrack" is not common in a sonic game to do this.
(The japanese version is better i tell ya)
If you are looking for a next reaction i would recommend for super sonic racing but sonic generations version.
I would highly recommend sonic drive the jp opening of sonic x
I definently prefer the English version purely for Sonic Boom. You should check out "Catch me if you can" by Runblebee from sonic riders is a banger. its got multiple versions both of which are great.
sega didn't just just changed the opening and the ending, the whole soundtrack was changed, if in a future you react to any music from CD
