- Today we take a look at the new TaylorMade QI10 driver! Honestly, I thought nothing could ever beat my Ping G430 Max but the Callaway put up a good effort! Can the TaylorMade QI10 beat it?

I would suggest waiting until you have better weather to test. Those slight little draws turn into little hooks which are usually a lot of trouble.
Just a suggestion: Square your right foot up a wee bit and then move the ball back in your stance a touch with the Ping. Hard to tell in video but with your swing - you don’t need no stinkin’ new drivers! 😊👍
Give em all a bash on the course. Will definitely provide a greater understanding of the performance
gaz you averaged an extra 2 degrees hitting up on ball with the Qi10, this increases launch and reduces spin. This would be due to technique not the driver itself so bit unfair on the cheating stick

you are 100% correct he delivered the TaylorMade quite abit different 2 more degrees up and from the inside instead of out to in makes a big difference to the numbers, more performance to get out of the Ping if he optimises delivery.

Knowing what setting you have your ping hosel would have helped. The taylormade max is a naturally closed driver causing you to hit a slight draw or pull which will always go further than a cut. If you closed your ping driver down 1 or 2 degrees you would probably get better numbers with it than the max.
I’d say the difference is from the attack angle and club path more than anything else
Gaz try the Q10 standard version as it's similar forgiveness and goes around 10 yards longer
You need to try the G430 Max 10K. It's on another level again from the G430 Max!
No it’s not
I now have both the G430 Max and just purchased the Qi0 Max. Why? Because the Qi10 is longer and has more spin. With my 90mph swing speed I actually need more spin. Averaging 2000 with the Ping, 2300 with the TM. The TM is simply staying in the air longer and better carry distance by 5-10 yards. For someone with my swing speed i think shaft selection is also more critical than head design. Ive tried about a half dozen different shafts in the Ping, and the Ventus blue 55 regular in the TM is really working great!

For me based on the numbers head to head 5 extra yards wouldn’t make me buy the club, the ping is quality and I couldn’t justify £600 plus quid just to gain 5 yards

ive got the g430max as well and for the sake of 5 yards its staying in the bag! your second shot isnt going to be any different as it already will be so ask yourself what are you actually gaining? £500 for an extra 5 yards, it makes no sense at all.

I was fitted for the 430 max, lasted two months, too spinny and insipid. Now using the Titleist TSR 2, bombing it and straight, looks the dogs and my pals can’t believe how far I hit it. Must be the only person on the planet that didn’t get on with the 430 max, but for me it didn’t work, great driver so must have been me.

Ping is uglyaf and Qi10 Carbon is a faddish gimmick imo. I’d look more at the Cobra and PXG offerings at this time. I’m sticking with my older Taylor Made Sims. Titleist TSR series seems fine as well not requiring any change as none of the new offerings give you much difference over the last 3 to 5 years. Stealth was garbage and the Carbon faces really got marked up by tees and scratched up into the polyurethane finish protecting the Carbon. Carbon gets micro fractures so longevity I would not trust either.
