Just to clarify a couple points to you, the only people who are going to genuinely appreciate a vid like this are gun nuts who are looking for their perfect action & are more than willing to pay for it. In other words, you've done nothing but a justice to yourself & your product by presenting like this, it's perfect for real potential customers. Fully informative, plenty of detail, plenty of explanation....excellent. Just as a side issue, I feel reasonably confident that this vid & that ingenius action, have just earned another customer.
Well thank you for the reply. I know you're very busy but, I'll explain a little of my situation & why I replied like I did. I'm presently in the early stages of planning a walking/hunting rifle which will be my "go to" rifle for many years. I'm in Australia &, we have shit gun laws to deal with so, I've decided on a switch Bbl settup of some description because, we don't have to register each barrel, just the action. It makes a lot of sense to have one rifle & 3 or 4 barrels as a set in a case. I'm a tremendous fan of the Mausingfield action & thought I had decided on that but, a 60 or, in your case, 70 deg bolt lift was is, high on my list. I have & have had several two lug rifles that are a pain because of the scope but, I much prefer my mauser claw for hunting rifles. So, on that basis, you can see where your Nucleus action fits in. In finishing, when you have some time, pretend you're a gun nut who wants to find out everything about custom actions, go on line & look at how depressingly simple it is for good companies to completely drop the ball in the marketing department with, time wasting, uninformative vids which show half the action & leave the most important details out. P.S, will be looking closely at your Barlock gear but, would rather not have to use a headspace gauge. I like the idea of the switch lug set up but, that requires uniquely machined barrels &, a shoulder but, I don't know all the details & differences, That's why another vid, just like your Nucleus vid, explaining all the details of why your Barlock system would/could/should be a better choice overall. All the very best to you in the future with your great products.

I appreciate that you have included extra design measures for enhanced safety. With many production guns I often wonder if they are as safe as they should/could be.

A friend got his in yesterday. It's a push feed. The rims don't snap under the extractor and ejection is extremely weak. I still would love a Mausingfield.
I assumed by the extractor not getting sufficient grip on a case. I'm not an engineer. I'm a guy disappointed by every custom action I handle. I've got a GAP Tempest that would make a decent fireplace poker.
If you're not getting CRF, your magazine probably isn't releasing the round at the right spot. You may have to shorten the feed lips. As for ejection, it's a mechanical ejector so it will only eject as strong as you cycle the bolt. I can launch a case 30' if I want to but I try to keep it under 5' so I can find my brass.
Nice work on the Barloc Integration that I see on the website. One question on the recoil lug key... why go with a single tab on the lug and a slot into the rail instead of two tabs that capture an extended rail base? Aesthetic or manufacturing? Or was the strength gain just that marginal?
What enabled you to use salt-bath nitriding on this action but not the Mausingfield? I don't have a preference either way, but I was just curious if technology has advanced or if a different steel was used, etc. I could be mistaken about the finish altogether.

Awesome product! I'm looking at my first truly custom action and this is very attractive at the price point. Semi-related question: does the barloc system work on other rifle actions besides your actions? Also, do you find that a savage type pre-fit is just as accurate as a gunsmith installed/ chambered barrel in these actions? I have rebarreled my own savage several times and already have the tools, but this would obviously be a big step up in quality, but at a very good price point.
I guess if you want anything but that "rail" for mounting a scope you're pretty much screwed. And despite all Tactitool opinions and beliefs to the contrary, putting a "rail" on top of a bolt-action rifle receiver is not the "optimum" method for mounting a scope. It just adds additional complexity, hardware, imprecision and failure points. Standard "bases and rings" made for the receiver and with "dovetails" for optimum strength, alignment adjustability and overall quality were/are how those of us who aren't wannabe "snipers" and aren't "tactical" have been doing it for decades every since quality and "proprietary" bases/rings replaced generic "one size fits all" so-called "rails" and rifle manufacturers started designing, drilling and tapping receivers FOR "bases" at the factory.
Think about how many people have rifles with messed up scopes because their scope bases aren't aligned front to back... You are pretty much guaranteed alignment with a one piece rail if the manufacturer isn't making curved rails. If you have quality rings that are machined in pairs or otherwise highly concentric, you should create a near ideal stress free scope mounting when you clamp them to a one piece rail. Theoretically you could do the same thing with precisely machined bases but in practice you don't know what you've got unless you measure it or ream the rings. Thinking about it, the original tacticool bolt actions were open top with stripper clip guides and scope mounting an afterthought. Designing an action for a good scope mounting is not what I would call tacticool, it is very practical.
