    Hey, an actual LEVER action. Love it. Love the innovation. My Nucleus is great.

    I love American Rifle and how they innovate and give new solutions. As for the Xylo chassis, I like the page you're on too. About a year ago I started playing around with making my own custom grips for my precision rifle and I think people don't put enough weight on the firing hand grip. After having a custom fit grip, it felt like it nearly changed the characteristics of the entire rifle, all else being the same. It is, in my opinion, the most important connection point between shooter and rifle. Great work on it!

    I always love the work you do Ted,
    I just can't understand how you always get such amazing ideas. both the action and the chassis are something totally new to the market. Brilliant ideas. However, four things are still not clear to me. If I may ask you about.
    In regards to the action:
    1- would the lever bolt handle able to tolerate the tactical pressure under extream circumstances?
    2- It seems that the action lug is not integrated, pinned, or even attached to the action, So how would it perform as a recoil lug while it looks more like a barloc.
    in regards to the chassis, 2 very important parts are missing :
    1- a top cover for the barrel to prevent the heat from showing mirage on the scope
    2- down below the aluminum frame start exactly from where the Magzine will be located which cuz 2 issues:
    A- if the rifle is placed over a barricade, there will be pressure on Magazine, thus there should be a barrier
    B- though The aluminum frame should be a good place to grip, as it seems wide and easy to hold, but not practical especially in cold weather. thus, a composite handle or polymer should be attached to that part which will also serve the first problem and prevent any pressure on the magazine

      @Theodore Karagias wow that was a very fast and comprehensive response. Thank you so much for clarifying these points for me. I can't wait to see it coming. I guess I made my mind to go with both of chassis and Archimedes. You relieved me from my worries about the ruggedness of the action. And you also going to offer some barrel shroud and non alloy handle. What more to need. Maybe a thicker butt pad for the long action and a smaller grip for my extra small hand lol :)

      @Jean.34 5 років тому

      @Theodore Karagias yes I agree with you. That is the point I was trying to make. Aluminum is metal which makes it get very cold in winter. So a composite, polymer, rubber or even wood handle foregrip (forend grip) being placed at the underside of chassis will be a great feature that can be optionally available especially for those who like to use a modern style chassis as a hunting rifle in the winter time. Also, a forend grip at the balance point adds comfort. At the same time, it will feature a magwell barricade stop. 3 in 1. examples of these:
      Magpul M-LOK AFG Angled Foregrip or Tyrant Designs MOD Foregrip (Fit both KeyMod and M-LOK). but in Xylo we need to find that fit into Arca-Swiss or Anschutz rails or to use Arca Swiss Adapters that attach to M-Lok

    So is it cock on close or open? If open how have you addressed the lack of cam effecting required rotational force to cock action? If close do you still have front cam to assist or is that gone as well? It's an interesting design for sure, but seems to be entirely designed around a stuck case. Considering most of our bolt lift weight comes from force required to cock the bolt have you actually made lifting and lowering bolt harder sense dropping the cam? Or did you split the cocking force between the two actions opening and closing making open considerably lighter but actually increasing required close force? Both also actually being harder sense there are no cams? So I guess the real question is does this action do anything better than traditional actions short of extract stuck cases (which should be addressed at the loading bench)?

    Shooting in the dark here but... Ted, does any one action of yours jump out as fit or perhaps even ideal for the basis of a hunting rifle? I love your designs and such but worry about the tight tolerances and such. Thank you in advance.

      Also; I await your magnum opus. A 60° bolt throw, CRF, Springfield ejector, and improved extraction action never to be beat! I know you have it in you! Kidding of course, but I can dream. (And if anyone can do it in my lifetime...)

    I would totally buy one your actions if there was a prefit head spacing... one piece none screw in rail

    • @AmericanRifleCompany
      @AmericanRifleCompany  3 роки тому +1

      We maintain head space at .825+/-.001 on all of our action. Others are making pre-fit barrels, PVA for instance. As for screw on rails, ours are keyed to the receiver. They work extremely well and provide you with the flexibility to make a change of you so desire.
