- In this episode I'm reviewing Zeiss Distagon T* 15mm f/2.8 which is an incredible lens. Also we are comparing it with its biggest rivals; Nikon 14-24 f/2.8G and Irix 15mm f/2.4.
After a couple of weeks of pause which felt very long to me, it was very fun for me to do videos again.

Chok deyerli video, Im actually Azeri Turkish so Ill continue in English, you said Irix isnt ideal because it needs 150 degree turning for the focus ring, I think it would be worthwhile to mention that one of the main targets of Irix is night and specifically astro photography, which needs long range focus ring, this lens is optimized to be used for that purpose, the focus lock mechanism is exactly what you need in darkness, some features of Irix really makes it stand out from all lenses IMO.
+pplanetEarth Yes actually I liked it when I first used it. But after I used the Zeiss I recognised that it is much easier to focus. Because it is a ultrawide angle, the depth of field is so wide and the focus confirmation is virtually worthless, because yo do not feel where the focus is while you're trying to rotate the ring so much (the confirmatition dot stays on for a very long range and you can not find the middle point easily). But in a short rotating ring like the Zeiss has, you feel the focus much better.
I think we can say, the wider the depth of field the shorter the focus ring should turn. So, for a 135 mm f/2 lens I definetelly prefer a wider rotating focus ring but not fir an ultrwide.

Teşekkür ederim. Aslımda lenslerin renklerinin 50-100 Kelvin birbirinden farklı olmasını çok önemsemiyorum, makine zaten bunu auto beyaz ayarı ile kompanse ediyor. O kadar dert etriğim zamanlarda da zaten Color Checker Passport kullanıyorum.

abi nerelerdesin ya vallaha ozledim:)) gelisinde bomba gibi zeiss vs irix keske karsisina birde samyang 14mm f2.4 premium gelseydide on numara olurdu:) ama elinde yok biliyorum suan satisinada pek rastlamadim noldu ne bitiyo samyang cephesinde anlamiyorum. video her zamanki gibi cok kaliteli ve bilgi verici.. ayni dxonmark gibi inceliyosun bilgi kokuyor agzina emegine saglik.. cok bilgilisin abi:) bende radyo tv programciligi okuyorum ayni dilden konusmak seni anlamak bi zevk.. tekrardan iyi aksamlar..:) saygilar
+Ethem Erhan ERYAMAN valla ben de sizleri ve video yapmayı çok özlemişim :) Samyang premium lensler hakkında çok iyi şeyler duyuyorum. Hatta geçen Samyang Premium 85 f/1.2'nin Sigma 85 f/1.4 Art'tan daha keskin olduğunu söyleyen bi video gördüm. Her ikisini ben de test etmek istiyorum. Bakalım, işlerim halen çok yoğun, her yere birden yetişmeye çalışıyorum.

+BİLGİSAYARIMI GELİŞTİR Yok bu videoyu BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera ile çekmiştim (D800E masada!). Doğru renk yapmamışımdır ondan puslu görünüyordur. Ama zaten çok da keskin bir kamera değil BMPCC.

+bilal ateş Tabiki de Irix. Yani bunu biraz açalım. Samyang 14 f/2.8 çok keskin bir lenstir, ama bıyık şeklinde bir distorsiyonu var. Irix'in distorsiyonu az malzeme kalitesi yüksek, ergonomik olarak da acaip bir lens, üstüne filtre takabiliyor olmak da bi avantaj.
