As a powerboat owner I truly enjoyed seeing this video. I think one area you could also discuss is the difference in boat trailer brakes compared to other trailers. Surge brakes may be a new term to many and also the different suspension systems of a boat trailer compared to other trailers (I.e. torsion axels). Plus the difference in how they tow, boats typically have a different towing attitude because they’re not as much of a wind sail behind the tow vehicle.
Not being an expert is sometimes even better. As you learn and refresh your memory we get to learn along with you. More boat stuff please! Runabouts, pontoons or whatever you come across
Very nice kinda fun to hear about a boat from someone who's not a big boater I have a 36 ft cc my self that I've towed to the Florida keys from Texas a few times definitely like pulling a big rv.
You know it’s a big boat when you have a triple axle trailer. She’s a beauty. Just a few rod holders 🤣 I’d luv to see more Boat talk. Smaller, and mid size boats too.
This was a great add into the channel. I’m sure most your audience is like me and watches this too you should incorporate these more into the video feed! Good work boss
Great Video!!! “Props to you” pun intended on stepping out of your comfort zone of travel trailers & recreational vehicles. Top boating categories that will capture additional audiences/product sponsorships. Trailer Brakes: Hydraulic vs Electric Trailer Lights: LED/Accessories Electrical Wiring Connections: best maintenance products to evade salt water corrosion Wheel Bearings: Safety Procedures & Maintenance Galvanized VS Aluminum Trailers: What does your audience think is the best? Topics to consider. (weight/strength/durability/visual appeal) Nice first boating video. Sky is the limit for product sponsorship if you start covering boats like you do rv’s and travel trailers.
The biggest deal about the dual props are that they reduce cavitation, and as such are more than twice as efficient even though only twice the props. Downside is the lower end drive mechanism is twice as complicated, from a mechanical point of view. The price of outboard engines have become absolutely insane. Those engines represent a significant part of the cost of the boat. Like in the neighborhood of $30,000 EACH. You'll see five or even six motor versions in Miami all day long. Six freaking 450 hp racing motors on a 25 foot boat.
I think the main reason the center console boats with lots of motors are becoming more common is because people want a boat that can do everything they want more motors means you can go faster but because they are outboards they are easier and cheaper to service, the center console means there is more area for family or friends for entertaining and fishing
I totally think you should add boat reviews to your channel. Especially if you spend some time becoming more knowledgeable over time. Your reviews are great!
Very cool and interesting. I don't think this strays from your usual content that much as it's still "trailerable". I'm a little surprised that it's not equipped with more electronics : radio, gps, fish finder, etc. Very informative!
Those Zukes are great motors. Very reliable. Don’t know the exact performance on this boat but would expect a fuel burn of around 35-40 gals/hr at cruising speed. Cape Horns are great riding boats, they chew up the waves. My buddy had a 24’ that rode better that most other 28-30’ers. Nice review JD!
Hi, like your channel. You might want to do a video on Majek boats. Ron Hoover sales them as well. They're one of the best inshore shallow water boats on the market. They're also made right there in Corpus so you might be able to do a factory tour video. That would be cool.
That's an insane fishing boat. I would like to go out on one like that. Not sure why it needs 1050 hp. LOL I have a 40 ft sailboat in the Galveston area that weighs 22,000 lbs dry and a 50 hp diesel engine. I would love to have just 100 more. I feel 75 total would be fine. The boat you reviewed can probably hit a minimum of 60 mph. Mine 8-9mph. Bahahaha. Mine is a world cruiser and that is why I bought it, but the Cape Horn would be a blast! You did a good review by the way! I'm curious about its total weight too. Plus add 410 gallons of fuel. Heck, I have 90 gallons of fuel storage and 170 gallons of water plus a 30 gallon holding tank (black tank).
Nice boat. Just not "my type " for what I would use on a regular basis. My type would be a "cruiser" for camping in at the lake of ocean depending on the size. What I'd really like is a cruiser around 35/40' witch means ocean since it would be too big to tow over the mountain passes to my house in Eastern Washington State. Id need to hire out if I were to bring it home for the winter and back in the early spring, probably. There probably would be an on shore storage area for it near the marina It's kept at anyway. Cool content and would like to see some options available. Thanks for this different type of content JD. 👍🇺🇸
What I don't get is the cost. When you post all the camper videos, you tell the viewers the MSRP, why not with the boat? Three motors on it equates to a starting price over 300k (rule of thumb)
Ah, "Cape Horn", I kept hearing "K-Porn". I like the variety of content covered here. Not always my cup of tea, but that's fine, I just choose which videos to watch.
I am interested in the boat and trailer from a mechanical point of view; nevertheless I cannot think of anything more boring than fishing off of one of these things

Agreed. More boat content
I watch all your content no matter what it is. I'm poor so I live vicariously though your channel
The happiest days of a boaters life is when he gets his first boat and then... When be sells said boat.
I'd love to see more boats!!
27 rod holder’s is fine and nice but where does the coffee maker go? 🤦♂️🤪
It's nice to see something different. A big truck can haul more than an RV.
I love boats! And that is a very nice boat. Yes I would like to see more boat content.
Very nice kinda fun to hear about a boat from someone who's not a big boater I have a 36 ft cc my self that I've towed to the Florida keys from Texas a few times definitely like pulling a big rv.
Love the boat stuff as only you can present it. Nice work

BOAT- Break Out Another Thousand 😁

Drooling over boats is my number 1 past time. Great video
I say yes on boat content. I’m a long time subscriber.

That's usually the case with dealership boats. They leave the helm as a blank canvas for the future owner's choice of electronics.
Thanks for the clarification. Makes it very customizable to the individual.
A lot of center console boats this size have a tower on the top of the center console, which you would access thru that hatch in the T Top.
Nice boat. Love to see more.

Nice review JD!
Love it, more boat vids would be great.
Don't think that'll work for your pond 😀
It would fit, but the cruises would be extremely short.
Even though your not an expert on boats ill bet in a second you can tell the quality difference between this boat and RVs
True, however, this is priced closer to a large Class A Luxury Motorcoach than a towable RV.

Beautiful boat big time fishing
these boat videos are very interesting!
Yes do more boats!
Looks like a great trolling boat.
We would enjoy more boat vidoes

I would love a "ship" like that. I would have to win the lottery to afford one of those. I couldn't image paying the fuel bill.
Boat reviews would be cool
Looks like " life beyond the bow". boat ha did a video on towing a large center console boat.
Good fun variation from the usual
Like it something different.
B.O.A.T.
Bring
Out
Another
Thousand …
I'd like to see more boats for sure, hate that they won't give pricing, it's like that on their website too.
More boats please.
Nice mix up today. That boat looks BA
More boats! 😄
I bet the fuel consumption on this boat would make our big diesel trucks look great!
Like the boat video.
omg wow
Thats a sick boat!
Cape horns are tanks. I have never been worried offshore in one
Nice boat. Just not "my type " for what I would use on a regular basis.

If Cape Horn built a catamaran!! The would take the market over
Love boat videos!
Cool do not know nothing about boats never saw one with three motors on it
Only two things to know about boat ownership:
The best day is the day you take delivery.
The second best day is the day you sell it...
Very interesting
What I don't get is the cost. When you post all the camper videos, you tell the viewers the MSRP, why not with the boat? Three motors on it equates to a starting price over 300k (rule of thumb)
More boats !
What would you recommend for this dually? Or 3/4 ton
Add boat reviews to the channel!
What would something like that cost? 🤔
Ah, "Cape Horn", I kept hearing "K-Porn".
I like the variety of content covered here. Not always my cup of tea, but that's fine, I just choose which videos to watch.
Nice looking boat but as far as outboard go I think I’d rather have a mercury or a Yamaha
It looks like you need a dually to pull the boat
Na, a Jeep Gladiator could tow this...lol
So what did you pay for it when you took it home?
Not being able to mention price would make reviews of little interest to me. Best.
We all want to know pricing, at least msrp/asking or whatever
400 k. Depending on options.
@@brianwilson1453 wow. Well that is way north of 100k. Thank you
Those motors maybe a v6 or small v8s. I'm surprised there's no bedroom in the bow.
That isn't gonna fit in the pond.
I am interested in the boat and trailer from a mechanical point of view; nevertheless I cannot think of anything more boring than fishing off of one of these things
Now you're an expert on boats??
Pretty sure I said several times that I'm not.
Definitely not
