@@pimpos9683 oh really that's interesting, it's not even sold in Australia. Thank you very much for the tips. I will definitely give it a go. They actually get bigger than these ones I caught and they are know as long finned eels here in Australia but I'd say there the same as yours. Thanks for watching my video as well.
@@pimpos9683 Hey thank you for commenting. I am in Australia which eels are a very popular bait for bull sharks but I have heard that they are good smoke, so I'm going to try it. Thanks
Hey mate, Thank you very much for watching. I have never caught a carp in this dam but there are alot of Tilapia. There are a few other dams near me with carp though.
Hey mate, I’ve tried and tried to catch these damn things, can catch jewies on lures, but can’t can’t a bloody eel, any tips on locations beenleigh area?
Hey mate thank you very much for watching. I don't know any spots in Beenleigh but there's plenty of spots in redland bay if you ever go that way. Your best bet is to look on Google maps and just try any creeks or dams you find
@@myfishingadventures7532 I want very much to make a joke about California, but I'm not sure Aussies would understand why San Francisco is "Queensland"
I fish eels in a stream. They are pretty good size about 4 t 5 feet weighing about 10 lbs… but I can’t get them with out using wire. I used 100 lb braid and they still bit through it… only wire for me.
Yeah they have very sharp teeth and at that size they fight pretty hard. Maybe try a heavy mono. Will hold up better than mono but wire traces are always good. You know they will hold up
@@stevegood-n6f Hey thank you very much for watching. I've had a few people comment now saying they are good eating so I'll give it ago. Thank you, please check out some of my other videos and subscribe if you enjoy.
Like your video s! Is freshwater eel good for all shark species? Apparently sharks love the fatty smell ! What about cured eel? Can't wait for bull shark video! Good job 👍
Hey thank you very much for watching. I have caught bullsharks and black tip sharks on it. It would definitely work for other species. Cured ell would be fine but nothing beats freshly caught bait. Glad you enjoyed. Please subscribe if you haven't already
cut your line so the eel drops in a bucket, have 2 cups of sea salt and 2 cups of ice cream salt in the bucket to reduce slime, take the hook out once some of the squirm has left them. But then, we just eat the eels here.
Oh true, Thank you very much for that information. I have heard of people eating them but I personally have not. What's your opinion on eating eel. Any good?
@@myfishingadventures7532 Eel is fine, I live on the Shenandoah River, one of, if not the best Small Mouth Bass fisheries in the world, so I don't bother with them too much, but I do enjoy them, smoked, mostly.
