Welcome to My Fishing Adventures
I created this channel to show people what I get up to on my fishing adventures and show people what our amazing Australian waters have to offer as well as teach people how to catch fish, crabs, prawns and what ever else I get up to on my adventures . I love fishing and want to share my passion and hopefully inspire others to get out and enjoy a day on the water and hopefully get a feed to bring home as well.

We went on a local camping trip to target sand crabs in our beautiful Moreton Bay and ended up with a good feed of crabs for the family.

Bro, i fish for eels for bull shark bait here in northern nsw... I found the best bait you can use is chicken strips... Cheaper and lasts on the hook alot better
Hey mate thank you for commenting. Chicken strip's is a good idea, I will try that next time.
@@myfishingadventures7532 yeah dude, just buy 1 chicken breast and cut it up into small strips, lasts forever
cut your line so the eel drops in a bucket, have 2 cups of sea salt and 2 cups of ice cream salt in the bucket to reduce slime, take the hook out once some of the squirm has left them. But then, we just eat the eels here.
Oh true, Thank you very much for that information. I have heard of people eating them but I personally have not. What's your opinion on eating eel. Any good?
@@myfishingadventures7532 Eel is fine, I live on the Shenandoah River, one of, if not the best Small Mouth Bass fisheries in the world, so I don't bother with them too much, but I do enjoy them, smoked, mostly.

Na mate I have never tied a lobster but there would be other ways to do a lobster.
It's not far from Brisbane, isn't it? Is it possible to catch raw claw without using a boat by throwing traps from the shore?
Hey Thank you very much for watching. It is about an hour and a half from where I live in Brisbane and under an hour to wivenhoe dam which also has redclaw. There are other dams quite close as well. Can definitely find land base spots to catch some redclaw. Pine dam is probably a good option being close to Brisbane and I believe there are some good land base spots. Thanks again

Hey mate thank you very much for watching and commenting, I appreciate it. Yes I release females most of the time especially when they have eggs but they are an invasive species where I live and are in huge numbers. Thank you

What bait did you use
We took no bait on the camping trip so we had to catch it day by day. The first day we used bait fish caught in the cast net. Then we caught the bream and pike and used the bream frame, pike and bait fish the 2nd night.

Eels are good bait for a lot of different fish. Catfish, strippers., grouper, snapper, redfish and sharks.. Great bait. Keep hooking em!

I fish eels in a stream. They are pretty good size about 4 t 5 feet weighing about 10 lbs… but I can’t get them with out using wire. I used 100 lb braid and they still bit through it… only wire for me.
Yeah they have very sharp teeth and at that size they fight pretty hard. Maybe try a heavy mono. Will hold up better than mono but wire traces are always good. You know they will hold up
