Thank you for including some drugstore/affordable options in part 2! All of the products in part 1 looked lovely, but were out of my budget.
Thank you Belle! I haven't tried any illuminating drugstore moisturisers before unfortunately so couldn't include any in part 1, but there are certainly some great drugstore options in this category! ☺️✨ x
I watch your videos before I sleep , it’s calming
The Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow Highlighters are stunning as well as Auric Beauty Radiant Luminizers and Saie Glowy Super Gel.
The Saie Beauty Glowy Super Gel is so lovely for day to day use when you don't feel your best and wanna give your skin an extra "umph" and make it seem like a good skin day.
As a dry skin girl living in a dry climate I Love this series Matilda! I have many of these products and have been using them for many many years. One of my all time favs (and I still have a couple unopened bottles in the fridge) was the Becca backlight filter. I have bought so so many similar products in the years since it was discontinued but it remains one of the best. The chantecaille sheer rose glow face tint is also wonderful! I mix it with my Chanel water tint on my cheeks and forehead (avoid it on my barely less dry t zone) and it makes the water tint more moisturizing. I don’t use foundation so this mixture is enough to tone down any redness on my nose and chin and add a hint of color everywhere else.
This is so helpful! Taking notes for a wedding I’ll be a bridesmaid to that’s coming up. Love the inspo pics for the skin!
I’d love to see you try out Japanese skincare and makeup! I think Japanese makeup would fit your aesthetic ❤❤
You can find a Trying Japanese Makeup video on my channel from a few years ago! I'd love to explore more products and brands in future ☺️ x
Great videos as always 👌
Great video! The Trinny London cream looks fantastic! ❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️✨ x
I enjoy using Glow Lust by Auric Cosmetics. It’s hydrating and includes skincare ingredients. I have a medium/ tan complexion and use shades pyrite and sunstone.
The By Terry ones are my favourite also - in Apricot Glow and Sunny Flash 🥰 Love seeing some affordable ones in this lineup too!
Thank you Kat! The BY TERRY formula sums up this category so well 👏✨ x
Beautiful video, thank you!
Thank you Jamie! 🥰✨ x
Thanks for the round up of great products, as always I love Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter. I love it over the top of foundation on your cheek bones - just Devine ❤
Thank you Rebecca! I can almost see your cheekbones glowing through the screen 👋✨ x
So pretty! ✨
Thank you! I agree ✨ x
I would love to see you try the Kiko Hydra Pro Glow!!
For me, it’s all about Glowy Super Gel from Saie Beauty. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Someone else mentioned that formula on my last video! I'm intrigued 👀✨ x
@@matildaonvideo That was me! Lol…. *That’s how much I LOVE glowy super gel. 😉
@@NYEdits-NYTeaches Haha sorry Karen, I didn't recognise your username! You should be sending an invoice to Saie for the unofficial PR work you're doing for them 😄👏 x
@@matildaonvideo No worries! 😉 I’ve used so many Saie products that I should be doing PR for them. 🤔
I love the idea of trilogy makeup series, cannot wait for the final episode hope you continue these series bite size episodes on different makeup and skincare perhaps haircare and bodycare like part 1-bath oils and salts, part 2- bodywashes and scrubs and finally part 3- all about lotions and potions 👀😘
So glad you're enjoying this structure Prachi, thank you! I'll think about ways to continue this multi-part approach in future 🎥 x
Auric Cosmetics (makeup brand by Samantha Ravndahl) has my favorite glowy base product. I use the Glow Lust in Pyrite. It has the most perfect olive undertone. I mix it with foundations to not only add glow but also to help my foundations match me better as it does have a bit of coverage. I finished an entire bottle and have already started at second one
How does it compare to CT hollywood filter?
Part two! Electric Boogaloo! Definitely will need to test out the By Terry one! Another great video as always!! Would love to possibly see a makeup bag vid on Chappell Roan! Or Sabrina Carpenter! Been obsessed with them lately!! ✨
Thank you so much! Really enjoyed working on this mini series 😄✨ Sabrina is definitely on my list to research in the next few months once I'm back from some summer travels (at the airport right now about to head off!) and I LOVE Chappell too x
Beautiful video! I found your channel through your Charlotte tilbury lipstick swatches. Do you have any plans to do an updated one and your KISSING formula collection as well please ☺️
Thank you so much Page, so nice to hear that! 😄💄 I don't have any updates to share unfortunately but I'll definitely consider a future K.I.S.S.I.N.G swatching video or one for another brand! Are there any others you particularly enjoy? x
I have many of these but a recent favorite has been Smashbox Illuminate Glow Primer. It has been a great surprise!🎉
Glad to hear we're on the same glowy page Heather! 😄✨ x
Hi! I love CT and Westman Atelier tint. Glowing!
Beautiful picks Meena! Still have my eye on so many Westman Atelier complexion products ✨ x
@@matildaonvideo hi! I ❤️❤️❤️ the foundation sticks and Biscuit contour. The peau rosé liquid is also nice but pricey; it adds instant glow. I hesitate to buy the powder because it is pricey.
I much prefer ELF to CT because it's less glowy and has more coverage. I also love Vita Liberata Beauty Blur in this category, which is so underrated!
Ooh I swear I remember hearing The Anna Edit talk about that Vita Liberata product years ago! Or was that a body version? ✨ x
LOVELY!! Thank you so much for this guide! Matilda, do you have any thoughts on the Makeup Revolution Bright Light Face Glow? I've heard it fits into this family of products..
Thank you Sam 🥰✨ Ooh I haven't tried that one unfortunately, please report back if you do! x
I think you’d love the Westman Atelier liquid super loaded tints! They’re described as a glowy complexion enhancer and the texture is so nice, it’s a bit more gel-like so mixes really beautifully into moisturiser/makeup to give the most gorgeous glassy glow! My favourite shade is Peau de Peche 🤍 highly recommend checking them out!
By Terry is my fav, it filter for my face.
So glad you love it too! 😍✨ x
I use the Elf in the new shade also ! Love it now. Before the lightest shade turned / orange on me. So I had been using the L’Oréal Lumi glow in pink and the next shade up. Both so pretty. I too have glow in the dark white skin😂
Happy to have another glow in the dark friend here Melissa! 😂✨ x
Have you ever tried Lisa Eldridge’s highlighter? It’s a thinner formula but leaves a really beautiful finish and there good options for all skin tones.
Yesss it's one of my favourites Angela! Didn't include it here as I wouldn't use it as an all-over glowy base, but it's such a beautiful liquid highlighter 👏✨ x
I've been using LumiGlotion for years but also really love the iconic london underglow blurring primer. Alicia Key's Let me Glow Illuminating Serum is so great because it's a Niacinamide serum that just happens to have a pearly glow to it so I sometimes use it as my glowy base under foundation
Thank you for sharing those two! ✨ x
i'm interested/curious about how the 'universal' glow (ie not foundation-type products) perform on deeper skin tones. I could see some that lean more champagne looking silver or ashy on deeper skin.
Luckily it's become much more common for brands to launch wider shade ranges / different undertones in their 'universal' glowy products! 👏✨ I'm glad the industry has moved beyond a one-shade-fits-all light champagne. All of the products I featured here come in deeper tones too! x
Wow, I used lumi glotion wayyyy back, like maybe even back in college? 10 years ago, is that possible?? Shocked to see it in this video, I thought surely I hallucinated how good it was and it wouldn’t hold up now to the way I was convinced I was rocking it back then. Might need to repurchase.
You were way ahead of the curve! 😉✨ x
I used it 20 years ago I’m pretty sure, or something similar 😂
I love CT. I've used Trinny before and love it on its own but found it pills terribly under the Trinny base products and other bases. Frustrating because it's not cheap and a shame because stand-alone it's fantastic. But I expect it to be used in more ways than one at that price point
💙💙💙
Thanks for watching Aaron! ☺️✨ x
Honestly, ByTerry needs a better shade range. It is 2024, we should do better.
These are only two of the lighter shades I wear Andy - their deeper bronze tone Sunny Flash is swatched in my latest video, and one of the other recent shade additions is a beautiful coppery sienna designed for deeper skin tones. Outside that range, I've been happy to see more varied tonal launches generally becoming more common in this area of the industry in the last couple of years - 'universal' glowy products shouldn't just be light champagne! ✨ x
@@matildaonvideo I forgot to clarify that I was talking about their newest foundation launch (Brightening CC Foundation). Should have clarified. Their range for this product looks good and I saw it before posting the comment lol. Btw I agree.
McBeauty?
MCo Beauty? I haven't tried any of their products unfortunately! Great price points but their packaging that blatantly copies other brands makes me a bit uncomfortable... Love to see a liiittle bit of innovation or variation in a drugstore dupe instead ☺️👍 x
I purchased BY TERRY Brightening CC Serum in Rose Elixir after watching it appear in your videos for years and I’ve never looked back 🤍🤍🤍
Wow, so thrilled to hear that Erika! Thank you, I'm so glad you're enjoying it 🥰✨ x
By Terry one is my absolute favourite.
Thank you for introducing it to me.🤍
Thank you Le! So happy to hear that 🥰✨ x
The Fenty Eaze Drop'Lit is a pretty nice lightweight option - very glowy, light coverage, ɓlurs well and flexible.
Ooh I like the sound of that Chris! Thank you for sharing 😄✨ x
