One of the many battles between these two over the years. This one is from November 1986 at Bolton. A rare chance to see the time keeper announce a public warning on camera.
Great match, well rehearsed but nonetheless tough and punishing for two of the very best . Amused by the lady on the front row who couldn't get the rhythm of Marty Jones's clapping routine 😁😁
Good old Murph had an impish grin, sometimes, to people he recognised in the crowd. A great wrestler, one of my absolute favourite heels, who were miles more entertaining than the blue-eyes IMO.
Pity they moved the wrestling to lunchtime and shortened it a bit too, if I remember rightly. only 2 more years after this match gone from the TV sadly.
Does anybody know if Skull Murphy is still alive? I know that after his retirement from the ring he ran an antique shop, because he featured on Radio 4's "Down Your Way" once. I hope he's in a safe harbour somewhere.
+Tony Curr I believe he was actually blind in one eye, a fact not mentioned by Kent for some reason. McMahon would have had him coming to the ring with a white stick.
Great match both got speciality very painfull submission holds seen here..top notch stuff👍
I never got the chance to see this one at the time............but now thanks to you tube.
Skull Murphys arms at around 23.55 look like a wind up toy! So cool. Very enjoyable match!
Miss the corpulant Max Ward prancing around the ring growling 'wha da ya say?', 'its up to you!'.....'what da ya say?'.

Marty Jones was especially courageous, because he was so cross-eyed he was seeing two of the other bloke

Your both wrong actually. Metal wire went into his eye
@Big Daddy I thought you were dead.
@@vordman He's just a stupid trolling git who knows nothing about wrestling.
