Watching this getting crazy excited for the season again. Jimmy your videos were mega helpful last year when I arrived in Vancouver from the UK having never skiid a day in my life. After a few lessons, 30 days on the mountain and obsessively watching your content I was skiing the whole mountain and taking my friends on some of the lesser known runs you put in your vids. My English friends here laugh that all my Skiing lingo clearly comes from your vids e.g. “ripping some groomers”. Your trees vid helped me progressively level up in the glades and I found my love for it there. I rounded off the season with Ruby Bowl and Pakalolo and can’t wait to get back at it. Hope to chug some liquid courage with you on a chairlift this season.
So happy I was part of your ski journey and it sounds like you've made some ridiculously fast progression, can't wait to hear about how much you level up this season. I apologize for all the ridiculous ski terminology that is now etched in your brain 😂😂😂. See ya up there!
Another tops video! My favourite way from Peak to Creekside is Matty’s, The Saddle, Franz’s Upper, Franz’s Lower. It’s an awesome run mid-week, you can ofter have the whole run to yourself.
Lol I remember that windy day, should've been a couple Wednesdays ago iirc. Skiing out of symphony was brutal, every roll and getting across to the highway out was a FIGHT against the wind 😂
when i go to whistler next time, this is what i'm gonna do. GREAT One! Also a lot of people need this, i'm sure. @5:00 thats some intense wind. @6:00 your magic potion drinking ritual with that music. I bet we all love it lol.
Great review. As usual you are bang on the information. I actually ski Whistler the way you described it. Early at Symphonie then leave early, it gets so crowded and so on. Keep it up, so amazing....
Thanks skiboo!! I haven't done that because I worry the youtube algo wont recommend it in the future. Typically my videos are all pretty delayed as it would be impossible to pump a vid out same day.
Amazing content as always! What runs can you recommend for a family day trip? Our family mixes snowboarders and skiers, all seasoned but not locals :) tks!
Hey Daniel! It totally depends on what types of runs you like. I'd reccomend watching some of my best tree runs, best groomers and steep skiing videos and see what looks fun to you. If people are different skill levels, I find that Crystal Chair and 7th heaven on Blackcomb and Harmony on Whistler are great places for people of different levels to enjoy a run and meet at the bottom.
I totally agree Cole! My helmet just doesn't have a flat part at the front. I also found that the go pro pushing down on my my goggles bothered me. Might be time to buy a tighter helmet so I can improve the mount setup. How do you like the chest mount view compared to the head mount?
@@C.oleCarson Ya I've used it in some, you can film single lens 4k now so looks similar to a go pro. 360 is def best on the head or the stick though. Maybe if I angle the camera like a rino it could look good too.
I've never been. Will be there this weekend. But looks like Harvey's or Robertson's or he dropped in somewhere random he thought looked cool up there off "The Ridge" as he calls it. Because then he connects with burnt stew
@@Kyumilli I went up there to try and find it and have to try again. It wasn't Harvey's and Robertson's like I originally thought. I think it's right off harmony ridge and somehow connects with burnt stew trail. Just not sure whether he actually went toward harmony ridge or burnt stew trail right off the lift. I'm going up that side again tomorrow and figuring this out is on my bucket list
It is pretty easy to get lost especially if the light gets flat. Lot's can go wrong if you make wrong turns at Whistler and don't have the skillset to get yourself out. I've skied the mountain for many years and studied FatMaps religiously so I could do it with my eyes closed!
@@riseandalpine awesome! I’m born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. Only ever skied in Tennessee and West Virginia 😂. I’m pumped to say the least. Your video’s are great man, keep on vibing!
Hi Vanessa! I own all of my own ski equipment, but you can rent it at the mountain. Renting is very expensive and if you want to commit to learning to ski it's best to try and buy everything used!

Your channel deserves AT LEAST 200,000 subs! Glad I’m here early!
Thanks so much. Hopefully one day I can get there and pass the stoke on to more skiers around the globe!
Same here just subbed!
Great video. I love the names of the runs and lift in the bottom left corner. I feel like if you have time that would cool to have in every video
Glad you liked it!
Great tour man.
The 104 free does it all in those conditions.
I love that ski.
Such a solid ski! Really loving the 115 too. It's got a bit more play and still rips.
Thanks for the detailed tour of Whistler. First time on Saturday, let you know how it turns out following your guide! Awesome content dude!
Yo Jerry, Excited you're going to check it out. Hopefully you get some clear skies! Let me know how it goes :)
Another tops video!

Such a sweet combo mid-week... end of day or weekend, not so much hahaha
You ski beautifully. It was fun being you for a moment.
Thanks for coming along!
A very respectable way to spend a day. Also very respectable that you kept some tricks up your sleeve haha
You betcha 😏😏
Great selection of runs. You’re crying out for some more powder over there.
Don't worry about us :). Next videos are all pow!!
@@riseandalpine Glad to hear it. More shrieks of delight🤣
Damn bro, I wanna ski with you! Gonna be there end of January for the first time, can't wait!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Lol I remember that windy day, should've been a couple Wednesdays ago iirc. Skiing out of symphony was brutal, every roll and getting across to the highway out was a FIGHT against the wind 😂
It was hilarious.. I couldn't even move forward while going downhill.

It was the craziest wind ever!!
Wow west cirques conditions sound just the greatest
They were simply unbelievable hahah
Solid video. Can you do a video on all the gear you usually use?
Totally! I'd love to do a gear video if you would find it interesting.
Super helpful hitting whistler for first time in late feb \ march. Thanks for the vids.
No worries Lucas. Thanks for tuning in. Have fun!
Who remembers when they used to groom with a winch groomer under the peak chair to the top? It was a nice starting line from the top.
That would have been awesome!
Great review. As usual you are bang on the information. I actually ski Whistler the way you described it. Early at Symphonie then leave early, it gets so crowded and so on. Keep it up, so amazing....
Those early symphony laps are the best!
As a local, I recommend posting the date on your videos (if not posting the same day) :) lots of love!!
Thanks skiboo!! I haven't done that because I worry the youtube algo wont recommend it in the future. Typically my videos are all pretty delayed as it would be impossible to pump a vid out same day.
Amazing. My favorite chair on a powder day is symphony!!
Symphony trees are so dreamy on a Pow Day!

Yo Rise! You gotta throw your mount as far forward on your helmet as possible, in my opinion it gets a more realistic POV shot

@@C.oleCarson 360 is always king! you never miss anything!
Great video as usual! I'm curious what bindings did you put on these?
I put marker jester 16's on the 104's and I put duke pt 16's on my 115's
Awesome thanks! Hopefully I'll catch y'a on the slopes someday
Do you recommend using fatmaps while on the slopes to figure out the names of the runs?
Hey Brendan, I usually use Fat Maps. Can be super helpful knowing where the cliffs are!
I skied peak to creek in mid December and after highway 86 it was all powder.
WOW! A Full P2C with powder is an absolute treat!
whats the song when you drink the hot sauce????? its a banger!
Lords of the land
wait what run was that at 3:00?

What is the liquid courage?
It's my own proprietary blend of ski hot sauce!
Will this guide be optimal for intermediate snowboards
I'd say pretty damn good ya. Flow would work for all skill levels.
I'd love to ski whistler, but honestly those crowds... Same reason I keep skipping nesiko. I'm too allergic to big lines
Totally fair - the lines and crowds are crazy
surprised lift was open in that wind
They closed it right after I got off! 90-100kph winds.
I don't get how you know where to go....how easy is it for ppl to take a wrong turn somewhere and get lost?
