You’re actually wrong though. The StopAsianHate campaign was literally in response to that white guy murdering a bunch of Asian people in a nail salon. Also, “toxic feminism” isn’t really a thing, especially not a thing that has been normalized by society. Where and how are large swaths of feminists making men feel guilty for being?

Cancel culture has always existed. What do you think overthrowing of governments and monarchies are? It’s no more than a buzzword that lacks any form of original thought. It’s a way overused term.

Let us also include deriding people who remain virgins until they get married or until death(maybe), because this is their matter of choice or religious, social or cultural inculcation. Because I don't see anything wrong, absurd, weird or uncool about preserving virginity. It's quite ironic that in the turn of the 20th and/or 21st century virginity has become an object of utmost reproach, as losing virginity before marriage( especially applicable to women and somehow required to men) was deemed condemnable to death in the olden or ancient times, particularly in Jewish, Moslem, Indian and most eastern societies.

God, I so sick of hearing about toxic masculinity. Being masculine is protecting others and violence unfortunately is need to fight violence. The problem is society wanting men to act like women. Even when men talk about their problems most don’t care and are glad that you have them.

    • @crazypunkprince888

Completely agree that no one cares about men as much as women! Also it seems like bosses whether male or female are giving more importance to women - so where will men go? Who will listen to men? I’m worried about men’s progress in general these days; it’s quite concerning, especially those men that decide to genuinely complete the path..

There’s a reason why men and women are different. We don’t operate how women do. If toxic masculinity is talked about, take accountability as women and talk about toxic femininity... sounds like women these days are too entitled. No we don’t wanna hear about feelings or act passive aggressive over small things. If being “unemotional” bc you have goals to accomplish is considered toxic then we’re doomed as a society. There’s nothing attractive about a man expressing his feelings all the time. And for the most part women love playing games. They just gotta have control over E V E R Y T H I N G... make it make sense...

I think what she meant is, instead of blaming your parents, try and look for the positive in life. Regardless of what they’ve done it’s best to move on instead of wasting time blaming others. Think of it as a chance to do better than them in this life. To help others who has suffered like you have and worse. Trust me it’s best to forgive them and move on, as hard as that may seem, I’m 100% sure God will bless you for it. God has many blessings for you and everyone, we just have to open our eyes and see it. The fact you’re alive today and you’re able to go out into the world and do something good, it’s a lot more than what a lot of people can and could’ve done. Just be thankful you made it to here brother. Keep looking for the positive and leave the past where it belongs. Today’s a new day, praise the lord with a gracious heart for it. Have a good day man. ❤️👍🏼👏🏼

If you're going to mention "toxic masculinity", you've really got to mention "toxic femininity" to maintain credibility too. There is absolutely nothing with being masculine, and a society suffers when its men are weak. Likewise, there's nothing wrong with being feminine. Both can be toxic and perverse, but both can be embraced for what they are in healthy ways - both for the individual and for society.

The people in the comments whining about the ‘toxic masculinity’ point - you’re proving the point. Masculinity isn’t toxic the same way that friendships aren’t toxic - unless you push it. If you can’t accept that toxic masculinity exists, you’re admitting it’s been normalised.

I always blamed my parents for me not being where I wanna be in life, because I never had a chance to try anything when I was coming up. Just being programmed with religious dogma and propaganda. I realized over time they were just doing what they felt was best, and the best they could. Alux I have always loved your videos. But, this one right here, sent my respect level to another peak. As a father whom is now divorced, I always thought I would do a better job raising children than my parents. Boy was I wrong.
I spent a lot of time in church because my mom was an active church goer. But here's what I've concluded from that.... Prayer is what I do to help my childs safety and welfare. I am not going to be there to watch her every day, so I go to God through prayer for his help and assistance.

Being afraid of being fat isn’t bad. Being afraid of being unhealthy is not unhealthy. Who wrote this one?
Why is the video critiquing toxic normalizations in society normalizing *obesity?* As though it’s not something someone should avoid and the avoidance of it is *bad!* I’d understand if they said over-worrying in general was bad, but they didn’t. They singled out worrying about being fat. Nor did they suggest that worrying about being fat is counter-productive to avoiding it. No. They just said “worrying about being fat bad. Think of the children!” Not anxiety, or impossible beauty standards, just being fat.
Most of the points were good, but this one just sticks out so much and is nonsensical. And then they go on to explain how there is too much sugar in food!
And the point about toxic gender stereotypes misses the mark. It roughly translates to “Men bad because they are pressured to act toxicly, women bad but not really because they’re not doing what they want to do to social pressure.”
The video started off okay with some good points that were given decent explanation only for it to sour in the middle as if nobody would notice.
P.S. Of course a child is going to worry about their appearance over getting cancer! That’s like saying a child is more worried about not getting candy on Halloween over the stock market crashing. It’s a manipulative metric to use.

With points 7 & 11, I would probably also add that being a man and being accused of anything is another major problem in society.
When it comes to stories such as sexual assault, domestic violence, divorce etc. If it's a man who is accused of those crimes before even facing trial, the media and social media automatically portray them as criminals, misogynists, sexists, thugs, wife batterer or whatever. And when it's later revealed that the woman made up those accusations because they for example ended a long relationship or divorced then there is no appropriate punishment and it is usually by miracle alone to let the man off the hook and prove the woman was lying.
Or even in divorce proceedings, the woman automatically gets custody of whatever she wants and the man has to make do with whatever she decides to leave behind, including not getting custody of the children or house pets, as well as any money/assets they earned. Hence why organisations such as Fathers4Justice exist because men are automatically treated like criminals in courts and the woman is automatically believed while men have the burden of proof for everything.
There should be appropriate changes in the law that gives sufficient punishment for women who accuse men of heinous crimes such as rape or domestic violence after a breakup or divorce nor should they automatically be allowed to take children away or any possessions until proof of ownership is obtained.
But if a woman is accused of abusing, sexually assaulting or whatever to a man, then there is hardly any news coverage, the insistence on being proven guilty before making accusations is the narrative in the news. What's worse is that the male victim of these attacks are laughed at, called unmanly, weak or whatever BS people spew out because he "let a woman do that to him" or even calling the man "gay" if he reports a woman sexually assaulting him. Which is another toxic masculinity.

I'm a South African and our law in divorce is that by default a kid goes to the mother.
Another thing is that if you and your ex girlfriend had a child and you specifically said you don't want a child yet she kept the baby. You are obligated by law to pay 18 years of child support.

    • @harrythornton7217
      @harrythornton7217 3 роки тому

That's just disgusting, it's similar in the UK too, a woman can sue for child support even if it was expressed by the man he doesn't want a child and the pregnancy was accidental. Even if that doesn't happen, the man is still portrayed as the bad guy because they apparently "walked away from their responsibilities" despite them saying they didn't want them in the first place or weren't ready for them and will then have it forced on them just because the woman wants to keep the child.

Isn't it interesting how the same group that sexualises children is also the same group that's claiming masculinity is toxic? If its so toxic then why is society trying to instil those traits into women? I don't feel any social pressure to be violent. Quite the opposite actually. Plus it depends on the violence. There is virtuous violence. The violence i would employ to protect my (future) wife and children from the guy who breaks down my door in the middle of the night would totally be appropriate. The problem is that society has pushed fathers out of the home. Fathers used to teach their boys how to restrain our violent tendencies and employ them for good. As for being independent, society is pressuring us to rely on the government for everything we get. Early Americans valued independence.

I have one reservation about the overtime point. While expecting overtime or naturally doing overtime despite disliking the job would certainly fit appropriately, I think there is an exception for circumstances where you truly enjoy what you are doing and everyone is accepting and grateful but not pushing for taking the overtime. Of which I think is another toxic behavior: Hating your job or working for the of it being socially relatable even if you do actually like it.
