Torqueing is not required for getting the free-play in tapered besring, just hand tighten and constantly rotate the wheel and be sure it rotates freely not scouring the besring rollers.
Very good video. The Mitsubishi L200 K74 version fitted with ABS is an absolute nightmare to get at the front wheel sensors to try and clean them. They are too exposed and if you try to remove them they will most likely snap off leaving the sensor inside. These front wheel sensors are so magnetic I can even pick up a pair of vice grips with one. So any rusty dirt particles are immediately attracted to them which can then trigger a fault code in the ABS system. Beware of previous owners who remove ABS lights to cover up faults. The ABS light should always come on very briefly when starting the ignition.
Not required torque wrench in tightening the bearing retainer ring-nut.you can tighten manually and hub must be rotated as per rotation of nut, feel that there must be no drag of bearing, nevet over tighten to avoid damaging the bearing.

Great video exactly what I needed to fix my loose wheel bearing on my Mitsubishi Delica
Doing my 1984 l300 4x4, thanks for the torque settings.
Great format by the way.

Thank you. This works for delica l400 too.
I loved the snap ring trouble! So accurate! Simple things can be soooo frustrating!

Totally trying this on my 01 sport XLS
Works on 2004 mitsubishi l200 too
Thank you so much for the video. Very informative.
+sanka gayawansha Thanks for the great feedback!
muy buen video
How important is that little washer behind the snap ring?
Mines' missing.
And is it a copper ring?
What is the spindle socket part number please? Clever to use the one for the 3/4 ton chevy. Probably much cheaper than the Mitsubishi part
Do you have a part number for the 3/4 tonne socket
Que tamaño y marca de vaso usas para apretar el rodamiento, por favor. Creo q es de lo mas importante y no lo veo por ningun lado. Gracias

Do you need the torque wrench for the bearing retaining ring? I saw a couple posts where is just says you can screw it in hand tight?
+Jacob Swartz At about 13:15 you can see the tech installing the lock ring with a screw driver. Thanks for the question.
So the only reason for taking the wheel off is to lock the rotor with a screwdriver. Interesting!
What's the washer for
I would be cursing putting back the snap ring😂
Where you get the socket to torque it?
You miss the sealant on the cover because if you do a water crossing it will be a problem

Nice

Anyone know the spindle drive size needed?
It's not 2 3/4" I can tell you that. Would be nice if they included the size of specialty socket. Other than that it's very helpful
It may be 2 5/8"
60mm
This is a perfect example of a bad mechanic doing safety checks on vehicles
Can this be done without removing the tire?
+dman9681 No, the tire will need to be removed for this repair. 1aauto.com
10:02 I was thinking 130 ft./lbs. sounded very high.
Question here why not just tighten down to 129 ft pounds?
why are the rear hubs different?
Soild axle in the rear
Instead of going thru all this I'd rather sell the whole truck and get something newer. Trash engines as well.
These vehicles are known to go 400+ thousand miles.
In Europe they don't sell real off road vehicles like this anymore so they are appreciated and taken care like classics
I'll buy it from you
@@smkinrade on god this man be on some meth, it's literally a simple procedure, chevys and ford's from this era had to have the same stuff done.
Going thru all this...was probably and hours work all easy to get too with no rust doesn't really get much easier
