'disclaimer, her head moves because she has a neck..' I actually love this 🤣🤣🤣❤️
Crystal's favorite phrase is noodle head because kids do not keep their heads still 😂
But her daughter kept her head still.
😂😂😂😂
lmao
What if it actually dreads what should you do
🤣🤣🤣
Omg, I have to do this ALL the time with my clients, its not that its dreaded, when water hits all of the lint, dirt and dust that accumulates at the base of the braid, it turns to a feeling of cement. These knots of debris MUST be combed out BEFORE you wet your hair, and you will have no problem, however if you do wet your hair.. PRO TIP: Saturate with any Aussie Conditioner and plastic cap, sit under the dryer for 30 min and the dirt knots will slip right out with a comb..Then proceed to washing💜
you need simply shelli hair serum spray detangler. will be untangled in 2 minutes.
I absolutely agree!
And the scalp sweats and mats/locks up the hair too!
Question: Are you saying saturate with conditioner BEFORE removing the braids?
@@mbennett6713 no, I'm not saying that...when you take the braid down use a comb to comb out the lint ball at the roots before washing and conditioning
Hi. I am a 72 year old white woman with very fine white hair. I am fascinated by your work and am learning a lot. I now know what 4C hair is and silk presses. I am sooo not a hair person and do as little as possible with my own hair. I am impressed with your techniques and am amazed at the amount of time you need to create your styles. Thank you for sharing your expertise and talent.
I once washed my hair immediately after removing braids as well. Took days to detangle! The braiders should educate their clients on how to remove the braids when they put them in.
It’s best to detangle before washing, regardless of style.
True, I had to do a big chop due to not knowing a skillful technique was required.
You always thoroughly detangle the hair after removing braids or twist’s before wetting the hair down.
omg this was me 2 days ago when i was taking my 2-strand twists out. not only did i wash before detangling, but i used a CLARIFYING shampoo. took alllllll the slip out and my hair was loc’d up. it took me 9 hours…pulling strand by strand. never again!!
Your daughter is blessed to have you as her mom, and I bet she thinks twice before doing that again. I loved it when her eyes popped open and that cute grin come out. :)
I cried when this happened to me after after an updo. Thanks for the knowledge!
I'm crying now over this
Good job Mom. I know your products work because it’s working for my thin, baby fine hair.
By the way, I used your hair ‘Elite Growth Elixir’ on my eyebrows and lashes, since I couldn’t purchase your eyebrow and lashes ‘growth oil,’ due to funds and WOW, my eyebrows GREW LIKE WEED AND MY LASHES RESTORED. I’ve been looking at my eyebrows in SHOCK!!! After my cancer and the Chemo treatment, my right eyebrow just wouldn’t grow. I even had my lashes tattooed a couple of years ago. Your hair oil, ‘Elite Growth Elixir, grew my eyebrows like MADD, MADD GROWTH!!!!!💗💗💗💗💗💗
Where do I buy this product or do you make your product at home with natural ingredients? Lmk I need help to get the matted part untangle and accepting any tips or advice God bless you and blessed future. Thx I will follow up ASAP ok thanks for all your help.
I think someone mentioned using some leave in conditioner on the knotted section. That WORKED!! I just rubbed some into the knots at the nape of my neck and it made such a difference. My hair is so fine so this is always a problem. 😭 THANK YOU! I couldn't find the comment to give props.
Honey you are amazing I remember when my mom did my hair she didn’t care that I had a neck and then my head was going all over the place but man my hair looks so good afterwards awesome you’re an awesome mom too
Edit your daughter is beautiful and she has some gorgeous hair
She is so beautiful and she is definitely your Mini Me. This was a very thorough process and I loved it. ♥️
This happened to me when I first became natural. I almost cut all of my hair off. My friend detangled it and saved me
I loved your daughter’s smile. Great job Mom!
I wish would've seen this video yesterday! I'm gonna have to do a big chop now, I think. :( Lesson learned! You're such a great mom and have a lovely daughter. 🖤💜🧿
I watched this video before taking out my braids. Yesssssssss not even 20 mins detangling my hair. Thank you💯
Beautiful girl. Her hair looked so good when you finished shampooing and conditioning it. I love watching you massage the scalp.
I'm white but when I was young, I had long hair, and my mother would SAY she'd start combing from the bottom up, and this lady would end up just yanking the comb through my knots and tangles, pulling out hair galore!!! Finally I just had her cut the mess off, mainly so I'd never have to go through some bs make me wanna smack my Momma again! 🤣😂🤣 P.S. I cut for that square puzzle brush. I'm growing my hair out now that's about 90% sparkly silver, and super thick still at 51,and chile, I'm gon need that! Checking out website after you do your beautiful daughter's hair! 👑
Just mesmerized by her beauty the whole video! Nice work there - both with the detangling and the gorgeous daughter
Oh I know about this! This happened to my daughter as well and she ended up with a head full of locs as well. Wish I would have known this back then, detangling her hair took hours! 😥
omg.. could have detangled her hair in 2 minutes with "simply shelli hair serum spray mist. it's a detangler. just spray onto hair, cover with plastic bonnet, wait 2 minutes, then comb out. comb will glide through
@@hairrus7278 where to get this?
@@misstiana77 I get it on etsy
My hair locks with in 60 days of braids I think is the type of hair if it's real thick 🤔 I watched people wear braids 4 to 6 months with out taking them down and they are not locked up.
@@hairrus7278 hey I have shea butter, blue magic grease, I have a bunch of stuff at home.. can I use what I have instead of having to buy a defanging product??
I can hear you lecturing her about her hair in my head 😂
Thanks for the lesson...what a beautiful child!
She’s really pretty. Until I started watching your channel I had know idea you ladies went through so much to look good. You are a amazing stylist.
I love listening to you diagnose each client when they sit in your chair. You just take it with ease, and get on with the service! I wish I had just the knowledge in your little finger! Wow! And can I add that I wish you had panned out, I think your outfit is so cute! So is your daughter!🫶🏻🙌🏻
WOW your hand are definitely BLESSED 😇 you never disappoint 🤗
Thank you for the detailed video. Yes, I was crying but stopped when you told me to.
Thank you
I'm literally in the loc phase right now, trying to figure out what to do n found this video.. going to the beauty supply right now. Thank u, wish me luck.
This same thing happened to me. But it wasn’t from washing before detangling. It locked up from whatever products the braider used. I used a leave in, my fingers, and a rat tail comb to break apart the locs. It took me 4 days, but glad I took my time. Not much hair was shedded either.
I stopped getting single braids because my hair locs up like this also. It took me 3 days to detangle my hair after removing my single braids.
Wow….4 days huh? What kind of products did ur braider use??
@@cecilwright4017 I think a wax and a gel. Not sure if the brand. It probably could have only been one day, but my arms would get tired after a couple of hours.
@@rqhstlouis did u ever go back to her? And I hope u told her about that dreaded situation. Cud potentially save her next client time, money and hair…
@@cecilwright4017 no I didn’t.
I know your daughters happy that you’re a great stylist. 👍🏽 She’s also pretty, like her mom.
She beautiful AND lucky to have you as a Mom!!
I know that wash was everything! Wow..thank you for sharing
I’m imaging the conversation “You didn’t detangle before you washed your hair?!? Do you not know what I do for a living ?!?” 🤣😁
Great job! Her hair is so long and beautiful
So Patient and Gentle.... Love it!😍😍
Lifesaver! Good job, Mom!!
She is beautiful and her hair is amazing ❤️
You and your daughter are so beautiful!! Great job expert mom!! Great tips as well so thank you. God bless you and your beautiful beautiful daughter
Great video and explanation! 🙌🏼🙌🏼👌🏽💯Your daughter is beautiful!
She definitely looks like you! Pretty girl. Mom for the Win!
Children ARE sooooooo.......precious!
She's gorgeous and I love her hair
It’s been six months since I took out my daughters locs… I am still trying to get the middle of her hair detangled to the root. That’s why I’m watching this video.
It hurts her so bad that for months all I could do was two pigtails and finally a couple of weeks ago, we worked our way up to about 10-12 ponytails.
I am determined to tackle this once and for all so that she can get back to wearing more versatile hairstyles without the pain.
This video offered a lot of tips.
Geeze, I would drench her hair with water before starting because that’s what I did with the locs.
I’m going to start on damp hair this time!
Wish me luck 😊
This young lady is very lucky to have a Mama that can help her! 🥰
Her hair is detangle free now her hair looks good 👍 😊
Girl she is so Cute! I can see the resemblance she favors you!😊
Awww, she’s so pretty!
Your daughter is a very beautiful young lady!!!!❤️❤️❤️
You’re daughter has grown so much. Time sure flies
Great job crystal stay safe y'all and healthy
You so good you teach me so much I 💘 your work she has beautiful hair. God bless
She looks like your twin!! Beautiful!! Way to go mom!!!
My daughter and i now detangle before washing. Spray with warm water and smooth with conditioner after we separate any knots. I just had crzy matting i used garnier fructise conditioner , water and aunt jackie hair and body oil, then i put a shower cap and towel and let it for hours. Then i combed and or pulled apart any knots, i also cut my ends to help.
I had a twist out, got sick and couldn't do my hair. The next week , for work..I just brushed the top of my hair it into a bun..laaaawd. I really needed that brush. It took me 4 hours to de-tangle, my hair 🙃 (my hair is mid back length, and thick). I'm definitely getting that 4 piece set.
Her hair is beautiful.
such a beautiful daughter!
Wow. She looked so relieved. This woman was so sweet to this child. Where can I see more of her result
I have to do this all the time with my kid's braids. As of this weekend I told the stylist don't put any products in their hair. I should have been doing that for years but forget, but not anymore. It takes hours to get the matting out .
My kid got that thick coarse hair so it doesn't get messed up in braids like fine hair, so it doesn't even need products with braids.
This happens to my son all the time glad I got to watch this video I
I love this young lady's hair. But her crowning beauty is those eyes.
Great Job mom, your daughter are so bless to have a wonderful mom like you.i wish I know this I put in braids sometime ago and take along time to take it out and my hair become nott.i never know I loss my hair by washing it out believe that the conditioner would help.i lose my long hair I never wear braids anymore
What a beautiful smile!
Omg I needed this video my granddaughter had the same problem
Ahhh I need that puzzle brush!
Bless you I did the same thing to myself and had to do this.
She is your twin🤗👍🏾. Beautiful just like her mom💞
This is amazing. Thank you for that.
The first 20 seconds explained my problem perfectly 😶 you live and you learn
Your daughter is beautiful momma 😍🙌🏽
Best Moma ever.
I like your video it educates me a lot thank you. Your daughter is beautiful 🌹🌹
30 mins wow u did amazing 👏 I'm going through this with my daughter she has 4b/4c hair and the exact same thing happened I wer her hair after removing plaits and it dries in dreads seriously 😢 I'm on day 2 of detangle and twist just so I can wash properly. Thank u for this video
Hello. Your disclaimers are everything. ♥️♥️
Amen for good hair work you done!!!!!!!
I needed to see the spray and the brush Brissels
Your daughter is so pretty 🥺
Your baby girl is beautiful.🌸
Yep. Dealing with this now. Only the back left but on the 3rd day. Doing it by myself is so hard because our arms can only go backwards for so long especially with arthritis. Braiding the parts as i get them out so they dont redread as I get the rest done. It sucks.
I’ve watched this a while ago for my daughters hair idk how I let this happen to myself 😅 bet I don’t forget again
Yes…Hopefully, I can do this myself..
Awesome job
I have horse hair lol, that's common sense. I spray a detangler spray too, then wash, and use another detangler conditioner. I have to comb it out right away.
I've had dreads too lol. It's hard to take care of
She's lucky to have u!!!
Great job!
The things we do for our daughters ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So with a tight curl pattern, is it easier too get tangled and matted? Also, I love watching your videos, they are informative and relaxing 😌
Great job mom you the best
That happened to me.3 times.the last time my hair was so thin,it took 6 yrs to get back to 80%thickness
Raising hand on the "using conditioner to detangle". That was me. Slathered a bunch of conditioner, my hair was like NOPE!! After 3 days of detangling and a sore head my hair was like, "girl I told you NOPE". My win came in the form of me doing a big chop!!!
Sometimes that's the only way to go. Now you get try some nice styles
Same ! I just cut mine last weekend, I wish I saw this video 😭😭😭😭
I lost majority of my hair and scalp after I took out my passion twist I should have watch the video this first .. thank you
Mom to the rescue! As a Mother of 5 daughters I’ve been through this personally
Beautiful Young Lady ❤
Currently going through this 😭 thanks for sharing!
Am I the only one that wasn't educated on this and ended up losing all my hair?
@@sonyababineauxburton8482 Definitely not the only one. I ended up having to part in very small sections and comb it out. I lost a lot of hair but I have been taking my vitamins, drinking my water and oiling my scalp and I've seen much growth.
Wow she’s lucky to have you.
Thank you just pulled my hair together
Great job 👍
Glad I found this video
what a cutie pie!
I did this today, rushing to do my hair, and I haven't really before had accidents like this with matted her after taking braids before. I should have detailed before going into the shower as well.
Nice work have a great day
I have long hair then the last winter, they got really dry and tangle up. Instead of trying to de tangle, I take a scissor and cut it short from the waist line to shoulder length. Wow, feel great. I am now free, no long be slave to detangle hair everytime I shampoo! 3 time a weeks, take at least 1 hour to comb out and dry... I just chop it up. I will let let hair to take out my precious time to comb, to dry ....!
Your daughter is beautiful! Quick question, after watching a bunch of your videos, are your products only for curly hair?
I made that mistake once and what a NIGHTMARE !!!
