I agree, the way loz views the game is different from the way others on this platform do, I honestly put loz up with there the James Laurence Alcotts of the UA-cam football community, for years loz has spoke brilliantly on tactics and the ins and outs of football, he was spoken over for years on the kick off and now has a platform for his own voice and opinions which is, in your words a breathe of fresh air
Slot is a genius and reads the game so well in like 5 min he can and will adjust the squad to what is needed to win , no player is safe in that regard and for the injury’s you talked about , there will be less than a year before because Slot trainings are intense therefore players are the fittest in the PL resulting in less injuries and when City comes to pass he will adjust the threat by even playing a 5-4-1 if needed to get a win. Enjoy the ride there’s so much still to come trust me! In Slot we trust Greetings from Rotterdam ❤
You hit the nail on the head. The passing and build-up patterns have changed somewhat. Under Slot we are cutting through the middle so much more effectively. As opposed to the staple switches from Trent to Hendo to Robbo I see more patterns that involve VVD to Gravenberch with his back to goal, turning and then moving the ball forward. I feel like driving through the middle was almost taboo under Klopp. This surprisingly has opened up more spaces for Diaz and Salah as teams were just double teaming us on the wings. Our new threat through the middle has teams struggling just like Klopps tactics early on did before our opponents adapted to Salah and Mane. Let me know if you want to collaborate for an episode Laurence :) YNWA!!!!
Slots style of football excits me. As much as I loved Klopp's style of football, we were always vunerable to conseding a goal. Where as with slots style of football in possesion i dont feel threatened at any point like we're gonna conceed. Slots style fills me with more confidence.
Hello from Canada Laurence! Im enjoying your LFC channel more and more with every new video. You are awesome at analysing football. thank you for your work
Great video again Laurence and absolutely spot on at the end. It feels like this was the evolution that this team truly needed. There’s an assurance that comes with a more measured style of play (less heavy metal). Prime example was the first half of the United game. In past seasons I’d start to worry as we weren’t taking all of our chances before the first Diaz goal - but I just felt calm and confident this time, I knew we’d find the solution
Love your work Lawrence. I was worried what would happen when Klopp left. I am loving watching this Slot ball Liverpool. Much safer defensively. Gravenberch has just grabbed his opportunity at 6. Up front we are on fire. The bench is looking strong. Interesting to see how it all evolves when we play Citeh and Arse. I saw Carra worried that Slot was giving all his secrets away but I think he has a lot more tricks up his sleeve for this season. All looking very promising. Giving my Manure mates hell and loving it. Keep up the great work!
Im gonna say it.. i love where we are. First and foremost Slots tactical awareness is unreal. That with his ruthlessness is a massive reason to be hopefull. How many times in the past did we see klopp unwilling to change things in the past when his opposite number had his number. I honestly believe dare I say it, if things carry on the way tbey are, the league is a real possibilty. 0 goals after your first 3 games in the premier league? 1 of them game against Man utd at home? There has to be reason for optimism. YNWA!!! RED TILL I DIE!!
This Liverpool team are building lower on the pitch compared to his Feyenoord side where Trauner(later Beelen due to injury) was the main general in terms of build up. The attack is way more narrow that's why the wingers (Diaz and Salah) are so involved in the goals. The #9 & #10 scored the majority of the goals for Feyenoord because they always kept it wide. We left ourself way to short in midfield depth and the brutal schedule will get us in october imo. Also i have 0 faith in Nunez at this point, can't wait until Danns is fit again.
I still don't understand people who say this team is boring. This team has been absolutely scintillating - they look so much more dangerous on the attack than they did in April, when it felt like they were just hoofing crosses in and missing sitters.
I think Slot has something prepared for us with the other midfield 3 he doesn’t use. Endo, Jones and Elliot might have different instructions than Grav, Mac and Szobo. It could be that when those 3 are in the mid, the team might look completely different. Which could be part of the reason we hardly see them subbed on so far.
@@kevintorres2583 Eliot is injured, Jones is getting minutes and will get way more during this season. Then again I wouldn’t have thought Gravenberch would be an absolute beast in that position either.
@@basbastiaans5396 Yeah, it’s been nice to see players coming , I’m curious if we will ever see Chiesa in the 10 since Elliot is injured. But the midfield balance is a joy to watch. I feel Slot will do well developing the team's individual talents, like Trent/Nunez/Gravenberch. I think Endo, Jones and Elliot will probably be brought in as another well drilled midfield 3 as his alternative to the current midfield 3. I prefer the control we are having in the games so far and yes it's not generally as exciting as the Klopp era but the Klopp era had lots of high and lows and I think if Slot can keep this steady but positive trajectory with the team, I think we will go on to win big things.

After he hit the ground running with no preseason if i remember correctly .... into a new league! into a Klopp pressing mosnter team!!! getting used to new team mates as well!!! Same with "Fans" that wanted to jack in Diaz! Gakpo!!! Salah!!!! Now these same "Fans" appropriately or have selective amnesia! have the gall to ask "Who wanted Diaz, Gakpo, Salah, Jones, Elliot gone!!!!?"
The are much more controlled this year. There were tooany times last year where they to come from behind and score late. You get caught out if you keep doing that.
Arne Slot More structured and more controlled in main focus at midfield, he likes to overload midfield even dragging fullbacks more narrow, or push one defender act like libero, give freedom to 2 wingers and attackers and number 10 for attacking with short passing and move

Thats how we killed Szobo and pushed him off a cliff last year! Our "Fans" dont seem to realise that!!!? Saying he was shite!???
Yeah after the injury!
There's been so much positivity which not bad. What about wicknesses?
PL clubs finna watch these for tactics
Bros hands move more times per second than Onana’s in the United goal 🥅 😂
Real Madrid would love a guy like Slot to take over from Carlo after he's done!
The are much more controlled this year. There were tooany times last year where they to come from behind and score late. You get caught out if you keep doing that.
Great 1st XI, but lack the depth in key positions like LCB, LB and whole of midfield.; playing every 3/4 days will expose this weakness.
Laurence , use graphic, videos and images please- respectfully, it’s hard to just look at your face explaining dynamic formations and patters
@@crystallondon737 his very perfect
Well I put a tenner on Liverpool to smash the league so my prediction is… well, for us to win the league
Gravenberch was the "assister" vs United, people really need to watch games closer. Macca was the sitter.
Yes but this is about the first 3 games overall. Of course we watch the games!
You da 🐐
First in. Let me finish the video first 😂
Arne Slot More structured and more controlled in main focus at midfield, he likes to overload midfield even dragging fullbacks more narrow, or push one defender act like libero, give freedom to 2 wingers and attackers and number 10 for attacking with short passing and move
I definitely do love now I don’t have to feel like I’m having a heart attack every game now but I just love klopp energy slot isn’t like a Benitez but it’s not enough energy for me maybe I’m just very used to klopp but I’d rather have someone calm like slot that arteta who asks like a monkey in a cage it’s embarrassing
Mate, like you know his secret, are u his assistant or smtg? Cmon mate. good analysis though
laurance i am a liverpool fan and you aswell. It will be an honor to talk about the game and the team. I am all the way from mount everest(Nepal). Please help me boost my clips. Please let's do something related to this beautiful game. Please help and respond.
4th hidden pattern.....being clueless against Notts Forest
To suggest that Macalister is tactically MORE INTELLIGENT than Gravenberch is BS...for watch his Ajax games...
I don’t say that.
If lfc isn’t respected by now they will be by the end of the season not saying we will win the league but we will finish close to top 3
Can we stop trying to analyse slots tactics , don't want to give all the secrets away to our rivals 😂
I wish everyone would stop with this Slot tactic shyte
We've got the "best manager in the world" grace our league for the last 9 years FOCUS on Peps tactics and give Slot a fricking second to breath ffs
shhhh
loose lips sink ships!😉
After y’all are done, we won’t win ish.
Why are you telling other people our secrets?
With the busy upcoming schedule, I hope and trust we’ll see Curtis, Harvey and Endo - who, as National captain, scored the opener for Japan in their 7-0 win over China.
Slot knows we will need alternatives as opponents figure out our current tactics.
But honestly, Laurence, this is up-yer-own-arse boring
This is all obvious stuff 😂
Slot has held the defense closer.
Stop making these vids lol the rest of the league will figure us out 😅
Would love to see you collab with @LFIJ LIVERPOOL FAN IN JAPAN.....
