Thank you so much @TroubleChute and the mod makers, this is truly remarkable... Sure, it suffers from the usual mod FG symptoms like flickering and artifacting UI elements, but HOT DIGGITY does it make the parts that matter smoother! :D I'm running a 3060 12GB and ryzen 5 3600, and while the game was largely playable with 60-ish fps outdoors, the towns would drop it down to an agonizing 25-30 fps. Indeed, considering this low a base framerate, I'm seriously impressed it still manages to double it and look good in cities! Outdoors are now a FEAST of 100+ FPS, and it's not like I'm staring at the interface in the middle of combat and heavy movement anyhow. :) Made my day - nay, WEEK! Big hugs!
I ran it in town and went from 40-45fps to 90. It legit works but I wouldn't call it playable because of the UI stutter. This was on the 3080 with everything maxed out.
It works and helps a lot in town (and in general you will have more frames), if you can get used to the UI stutter is awesome, or you can disable the mod pressing the end key once out of town. What I did is paired it with the mod HUD controls so I can hide the UI when I want so the UI stutter doesn't bother me as much, since I can hide the minimap, controls, etc pressing one key Is possible that with time they fix the UI stutter, let's hope so, this modders are doing Crapcom's work
I'm on a 3070 with a relatively old GPU i7 8700K. I get 70-85 fps in town with everything maxed with ray tracing on 2K in town. These mods works very well
If anyone having issue with the mods, not sure if you want to try. Currently using an app called Loseless Scaling from steam. Performance was horrible on my 4070 Ti until I used Losless scaling. Using Frame generation option on it and native scaling and so far so good! I uncap framerate in-game then cap framerate from Geforce control panel to 72 fps for my 144hz monitor. Running with RTX on, all settings on high except shadows to medium. Adventuring outside of the populated towns very smooth and enjoyable 90 - 103 + fps. Can use Steam overlay as well but can't do shadowplay record when running the app. Only downside still is populated towns like vern, fps drop and artifacting can occur but bearable if you don't spend too long in there. In Bakbattahl town, performance still very good when using it. All in all they have got to make better optimization.
This will work best if you're already getting OK-ish frames as that's how FSR3 frame generation works best. If you're already getting bad frames (like 15FPS as you mentioned) it may indeed increase the frame count, but will likely also increase latency/response. In that case, lowering settings to performance/low will help a little. Also worth noting is the game is heavily CPU dependent - not sure how that will affect framerates with framegen but worth mentioning. I have a 7900XTX and 5800X3D, so my frames are comparatively ok outside of towns (100-120) and around 50ish in towns at Quality with nearly everything else turned up fairly high or maxed. I'll likely just wait for proper AFMF implementation as the game doesn't suffer badly enough for me in it's present state, but it's nice to know there are options! Thanks for the video.
for those who also messes with local A.I gens, gpu scheduling can also cause a slowdown there. So you'd want to test with on vs off to see how it'll affect games, cause it definitely affects A.I gens.

Lossless scaling on steam offers the best implementation of FG in any game I have seen yet (if not natively included). Works on any GPU and the recent update 1.1 detects UI pretty well, which really boosted image quality. Just tested it, to make sure I'm not offering bad advice. Works like a charm, but make sure to start the game in DirectX, since the UI detection works best with it. Looks buttery smooth, even when I lock the game at 30fps ingame. Have a nice day. Edit: Please don't use this with games, that use an anticheat implementation

The increase in fps works perfectly, but the UI flickering bothers me so much that I can't play it. Especially when my character is an archer, to have a flickering aiming cross is a "no go" for me. Is there any chance they'll fix this? I read in the Nexus Mods forum that disabling the DLSS after using the mod still keeps the increase in fps while solving the UI flickering, I tried it and it's kind of true, but at the cost of a drop in the graphic quality, so this is neither an optimal solution. I think I will put the game in pause until it's playable withoug worrying about a flickering UI or about having to play with worse graphics than I could actually have with my graphic card. The game is too good as to be bothered by this things while playing it.
anyways have you looked into a reddit thread about using lossless scaling to generate more fps on this game? it worked for me. for anyone who cant stand the UI flickering (like me) could try that alternative too

i believe theres an option to just disable it. I wouldnt mind opening the map a few times more. everything is build well enough to remember some ways even alot better by seeing than looking at the map. I have a 4000er card so dont have it and still thinking i should disable it.
Can someone explain this concept? Because I heard it's pretty much useless. I noticed that myself a while ago. Was playing a game, don't remember which, which you could get this enabled for but even though it said I had high fps, it still felt like it did before enabling it. Maybe it helped a tiny bit but nothing substantial enough to download an entire mod for it. The way I heard it being explained was that it's kind of like upscaling resolution but for fps and that you're not actually gettint more frames so what's really the point?
It increases FPS by basically making up frames. After it does all the hard work of actually rendering a real frame, it uses an AI model to guess what the next frame should look like and also pushes that to the screen. So the GPU might only be able render 30 real frames per second, but it also inserts a guessed frame in between each and you get 60 FPS.
@@erkuza9220 I remember the game I had it in now; Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I enabled FG and got like double the fps, but it almost felt the exact same way as it would without it enabled. Thanks for this. I’m rocking a 2080 with Ryzen 5600x. I’ve double my frames in town from 35 fps to 50/55 fps
you have to cap frame rate at 60 otherwise it will crash/freez the game. At least for me on a 4090.(using PureDarks frame gen mod/should be similar)
The two files for dll_version in dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) don't work, and I've deleted the shader cache, but it still ends up crashing in the capon interface.
try to set your nvidia control settings to default. I noticed crashing the game after tweaking some settings in control panel. Go for quality or balanced preset, maybe this will work for you as well
I have the same problem maybe is because the new update, i can't use the mod anymore
@@sebastiangomez1319 me too, after update stop working
same here
did everything like u said but the game crashes on launch everytime , i have rtx 3080 btw and i have disabled overlays
Same here 3070
Yeah same, just use LossLess Scaling which works better and doesn't affect the UI, also never crashes
Make sure the cache file is deleted. Mine was re-generated, it crashes, and deleting it once more allowed me to launch it reliably.
@@TroubleChute yeah I deleted it, it regenerated and than crashed with capcom crash report, no matter what I tried. But it's okay my game does perform not too bad tbh. It's not as bad as some people have it. More round about 50-70 in towns and 70-90 outside which is enough for me xD even 40 would be enough. With lossless it also doubles without ghosting on Ui
Why mine faile load dlss better implemantaion??
I have a 7800 XT, but the frame generation doesn't work for me, do you know how to make it work?
driver 24.1.1 already supported frame gen for all games
keep the original sl.interposer.dll file in the folder game don't delete or change it
3070 TI ^^^ These steps resolved it for me. Posting for visibility.
Are you able to use frame generation ?
@@ashrasthonge8345 Yes - as long as you don't move the original sl.interposer.dll file - it works.
THANK YOU FOR THAT COMMENT!!
11/25/2024
By following the video instructions and not replacing the interposer DLL, it's working.
@@ashrasthonge8345 yes
This sadly has not worked for me. My game starts crashing when I'm done following all the steps..
The reason the mod doesnt work anymore is because dlss framegen is now implemented into the game(you dont need this mod anymore). All you need to do is download and install Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) and then you can simply enable frame gen in the game settings under graphics.
@@olivermirez6667 Mod clearly states it only works for Nvidia GPUs
Went from capping at 60 since I was hitting about 60 to 70 to now 115 in the open world and 80 in towns THANKYOU
Every time I load the game I get the message that says dlssg-to-fsr3 failed to load implementation DLL any help would be appreciated thanks
same here no idea what i did wrong, did all the steps
If fps is making the game crash everytime you click play then this tutorial is fire
Do you think this could work in BG3? Act 3 performance is horrible.
@@kamipls6790no, not really, specific frame generation mods for à said game will be better than LS ( and im à big LS fan) but yeah LS is wondeful, if you have 120hz monitor minimum
@@ocerco93 the update came a week ago. Should check it out.
Lol, how is it horrible? It runs smoothly
BG3 is on Directx 11 so, no.
Guys, the reason the mod doesnt work anymore is because dlss framegen is now implemented into the game(you dont need this mod anymore). All you need to do is download and install Nukem's dlssg-to-fsr3-0.90 (Universal) and then you can simply enable frame gen in the game settings under graphics.
Use the current version of NUkem's mod and you'll be fine, works like a charm.
*only if you have an Nvidia GPU
@@bigdaddynero I'm not sure if it does work with AMD too, but I'm using a 2080 TI and it works like a charm.
Holy shit, this actually worked, went from 50-60 fps at max and 30 in towns to like 160fps, that's silly
Press the END key on your keyboard in game.
@@zaerak1 The END key turns off the frame generation which is why the flicking stops. We'll need to wait for them to update the mod
Hi! - this is not working for my 1080ti, game keeps crashing. Do you have any recommendations for the 1080ti?
Thank you so muck .Now I am able to play the game 😘
anyways have you looked into a reddit thread about using lossless scaling to generate more fps on this game? it worked for me. for anyone who cant stand the UI flickering (like me) could try that alternative too
what settings do you use on lossless scaling?
it works. thx. solution for the UI issues?
didnt work for me, I'm an AMD user. I can't even seem to enable GPU scheduling
tried everything u showed, it crashes all the time
I can't change "DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION" for some reason, will this work at all?
for AMD 7000 Series: Just enable motion frames. Run Adrenaline Software from AMD, start game, pres ALT+R, then enable Hyper RX and Done. Make sure to disable V-Sync.
I have and AFMF is not the same thing at all. I had a RTX 4070 before this Radeon and DLSS FG is SO MUCH better. Did not even compare! When they implement this FG ingame, sure will be enough because in Remnant II works flawlessly. But via driver is just shit
Holy shut
Thank god I'm playing this on pc
my game crashes on startup, for whatever reason version.dll is what crashes it. i have no overlays on, also i can turn on/off FSR but i dont have the ability to use DLSR so what am i supposed to do there? i already did the step for non-nvidia and im not able to tell if its actually doing anything.
ps. frick you capcom
Did you solve it? I had the same problem.
Nope, still nothing@@jvl4254
Would this work for me 1060 6GB?
Just hope they fix the UI flicker on this mod, that's the only thing that stops me from using this mod
Happens to me too. It sucks.
@@alexgoldbarI heard there’s another app called Lossless Scaling on steam that does the same as this mod but without UI flicker, it costs money unfortunately
I getting used to the flicker. Definitly enjoy more FPS with the trade off.
Think those UI mods on nexus replace the default ones and lose the flicker?
@@dryricefields403 I’ll definitely give that a try next time I play
The problem is city frames. Having 7900xtx with x3d cpu's . Does all this effort even worth anywhere in this game..?
yes, I have x3d cpu
Any fixes for recent versions? I see the frame generation setting, but still grayed out.
It works. Thank you

Knew this was coming! works perfect all we gotta do now is fix the ui lol
That keyboard sounds good af 😭
I followed the instructions exactly and when I opened the game I got a warning:
dlss-to-fsr3 failed to load implementation DLL.
c:\programfiles (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\dragons dogma 2\_storage_\dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll
and the game opens but won't allow me to enable frame gen.
I put the nvngx_dlss.dll and sl.interposer.dll into the game directory (folder where dd2.exe is located) and replaced files, deleted shader.cache.2, and placed the version.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll in the game directory as well.
I fixed it like less than a minute after posting. I had REFramework installed so I had to put the dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll into the _storage_ folder created by the mod. Instructions were lower down in the mod page.
@@ICDedPeplArisen just put in inside the file _storage_ right ?
@@muhammadhaziq7641 Yes. Also, with REFramework, you don't have to delete the storage.cache2 file before each time you want to play the game.

Hello chute, does this work on basically any game or are there requirements in the settings of games?
my game crashes when i am putting dssg to fsr3 , any ideas how to fix that?
I had this issue, you need to disable steam and Nvidia overlay
After a little over an hour of playing the frame generator stopped working, the frames were basically reduced by half, the hub stopped shaking but there was some ghosting. Has the same thing happened to anyone else?
only once and only after my pc crashed, i just copied the file back in again and that did it. (4000er-fg-mod)

Thanks very much, it's honestly insane that we have to rely on modders to fix these tripple A's these days. Thank you for helping out the players.
The moment you said it's incompatible with REFramework, you just shattered my dreams. That's like the most essential thing for DD2 right now. So sad....
Nvm. Checked the mod page and seems to have been updated and now works with Reframework. Sweet!
Does it work on linux?
How are you meant to turn on DLSS if you don't have a 40 series to begin with?
I have a 3060 ti with the most updated drivers and the dlss option is greyed out for me and I cant use it. Tried fresh install of drivers, rolling back and still nothing works. I checked Jedi Survivor and the dlss option is there and i can use it, its only DD2 and Horizon Forbidden West.
Make sure FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) is turned off
That’s ok for every game ?
In alan wake 2 i installed only universal version and run well
This definitely worked for me. I have an 3080, and it jumped from 30-50 fps depending on whether I'm in a crowded area, to somewhere up near 100-200fps.
The UI freaking out was annoying, so I disabled the DLSS super resolution. The UI stopped bugging out, and I'm still getting 80-100 fps.

@@gabrielspagnol3812 no I never tried it. I may though eventually
So theoretically as a person with 7900xtx I should expect to be able to turn on DLSS after following everything correctly, correct?
with a 7900 xtx you dont need any frame gen to reach 60+ fps as long you dont play 4k
Is there a fix or workaround for the Hud Ghosting/Shaking? not a deal breaker because this works so well, but, thought i'd ask regardless
i believe theres an option to just disable it. I wouldnt mind opening the map a few times more. everything is build well enough to remember some ways even alot better by seeing than looking at the map.
I have a 4000er card so dont have it and still thinking i should disable it.
I don't think ANY GPU, even those that do not support frame generation by default as said by AMD for example (for the FSR frame gen at least)?
PUSHING 160! on my 3080ti wow this is so good
Can someone explain this concept?
The difference was truly negligable. Is that just because of my card (3080)? Like, does it work better when you actually have a 40-Series card? Or is it just mostly a useless gimmick
@@theunderdog9353I heard that you should keep v sync on and set a fps limit so it matches that of your monitors to get the best experience.
