FTC: In the city of Belém, the NGO Paravidda calls on ‘manos e manas’ for HIV prevention

The scorching sun of Belém was already shining brightly when, at 9:30 AM, the Paravidda NGO team set off from the Jurunas neighborhood, in the central region of the city, for an action that mobilized the community for HIV prevention.
The chosen setting for the action was the iconic Ver-o-Peso Market and its surroundings, in the heart of Belém.
The actions carried out are part of the “Égua Mano(a), vamos prevenir!” initiative, led by the Paravidda NGO, aiming to provide the population of Belém with information on prevention, self-care, and the training of 60 community leaders, who will inform their communities about the importance of early diagnosis and immediate start of treatment.
