I bought a 2024 Corolla Hybrid SE with the premium package (I like the sunroof, don't judge me 😂). Anyway, I didn't want to pay cash for it because I had some other expenses at the time so I put $3500 down on a 5 year loan with Toyota Financial and financed $27185 at 7.89%. The monthly payment was $552, FOR A COROLLA! I paid off the car this month and did a quick calculation, I think I paid close to $1000 in interests. I don't get how people drag loans forever on expensive vehicles. The amount of $ you loose is insane.
That's ridiculous for a car that plain as a corolla. These base models should be 17k max they're made to get you from point a to b
who's going into a 6 year loan doing a 0 down payment on a Corolla besides people that just want burn money???

Nice breakdown though I noticed you didn't include doc fee, registration fees etc. Those are usually mandatory and combined can add a cool $1000 to the out the door price. Especially on an extremely high demand and low supply vehicle like the Corolla, there is very little chance of scoring any type of discount to neutralize the doc fee or any other fee. In fact, here in Dallas TX, most Corolla buyers are still paying thousands over MSRP. Unfortunately new Corollas are not the cheap affordable cars they used to be in the past

If you need a 6 year loan on a Toyota Corolla, you can’t afford a new car
if it get paid off then dont matter this car will last 300k or more even if you paid 5k more
Toyota Corollas are not the cheap econoboxes they used to be in the past. Nowadays, even the cheapest base trim 2024 Corolla LE is 25-26k including taxes and fees. If you choose a higher Corolla trim with more features or the nightshade package, you can easily end up spending 30k otd. Combine that with high interest rates and a 6 year loan sounds attractive
