- A chunk of ice from the sky tore a hole through a Utah County family's shed and fatally injured their goat.
Cassidy Lewis said she was inside her Eagle Mountain home Monday morning when right at 9:30 a.m. she heard a loud bang from outside and the entire house shook.
When she ran outside, her animals were acting chaotic, and she saw a basketball sized hole torn through the roof of her goat shed.
Inside, one of her goats was bleeding and injured. All around the ground below the large hole were chunks of ice.

There are so many politicians walking around out there, but this ice had to hit an innocent goat instead. SMDH
🤣👍
Hhaha
@@mb9662 It got my goat!
😂
The goat was Boeing whistle blowing
I was literally wondering if it came from an airplane toilet like that one in Joe Dirt. 😂
,🤣🤣🤣
🎯💯🤣
Came from a Boeing plane...
The rumour is Kristi Noem was on that flight.🤔
What if that had been a person?!!! Poor little goat.
Poor goat & family. We have a few goats whom are strictly pets. We love them as much as we love our dogs. I’m sure they’re heartbroken ❤
WTF? That’s the worst luck in the world.
The FAA will know which aircraft it came from - they are all tracked.
true
There’s an app for it
They probably can't keep track of the zits on their ass
They need a time of incident, how much ice was still frozen and what was the ambient temperature and wind speeds?
It's government. They will lie and withhold evidence.
What in the Joe Dirt is going on here?
They may be able to find the exact plane. The planes have trackers on them, and they can triangulate it with the time and location of the aircraft.
It's a goat lol.
@@jeffdur1330Still could have killed someone & the aircraft crew need to be held responsible. This is worse than people shooting guns into the air.
@ChinkyChan yeah it could have been worse, but it wasn't. Let's not overreact until necessary, mmk.
@@jeffdur1330 Why wait till an actual human gets killed to investigate it? What if someone came & shot your dog? Are you gonna wait until they shoot a human to call the cops? I'm just saying that's a kinda ignorant way to look at it.
@@ChinkyChan what's ignorant is making up completely random scenarios to try and justify it.
Poor goat! Sorry to the family.
poor goat
It's called a piss brick , airline dumps the tank.
Well if it was a plane shouldn't they only dump in non populated areas? I would be pissed. Someone needs to be held accountable, this is worse than people shooting their guns into the air.
What I'm thinking
If it was a piss brick u would be more pissed on then pissed off....@ChinkyChan
That's not true
Oh jeez, thanks for clearing that up. 😅
Weird stuff happens in eagle mountain
How can they allow planes to dump their sewage onto the land below? I thought they had tanks to empty it. It is not sanitary for the people and animals below and obviously isn’t safe.
They don’t allow them to do that… the latching door mechanisms failed… there’s usually like 3 at least 2 systems that have to fail for this to happen and it has to fail in just a particular way where it’s barely leaking otherwise it won’t freeze
@@devbella5223 , that makes me feel better. Thank you for the explanation.
Awe that poor goat. That is terrifying, can they sue the aircraft?
They can’t sue the aircraft.
Is sueing going to bring the goat back? Is that all people think of these days? Sad
wich one
@@Bfkcjscbsnjc No but it can give them money to replace the goat and repair the shed.
@@timothyexner "replace the goat" too bad your parents didn't have enough money to replace you.
Someone flushed the toilet! I remember years ago when a remote village in the Italian Alps had a cholera outbreak. They determined it came from an Air India flight when the toilet was flushed over the village below. Freezes at high altitude which is supposed to kill any disease organisms so was never considered a threat by authorities.
No way. If so they need to be stopped.
Mythbusters proved this back in 2008. Interesting episode, worth a watch if you want to know the science of how this happens frequently.
“We call ‘em ‘Boeing Bombs’”
Very sad & scary. Sorry for their loss & glad the family is ok.
I’d be thinking end of the world stuff if I seen that
Do we need to line our roofs with 1/4" steel plating to keep from getting killed in our homes from falling ice balls?
You mean like a steel roof? Those are pretty common.
Most homes couldn't bear the weight.
@@tripplefives1402 Most steel roofs that are pretty common would not stop a basketball size ice ball falling out of the sky from penetrating. They are not even 1/16" thick.
@@ColeTurner-sr8mc Like most homes can't bear the weight of 6" of wet snow?
@@ILGuy2012... steel is heavier and is CONSTANTLY in place
I had no idea this could happen the entire neighborhood needs to talk about safety. A person, car, or house could be next.
Was it yellow "ice" ?
The usual toilet water color would be blue on aircraft and trains
Typical case of a 'Scapegoat'....
Are you sure gov noem wasn't nearby?
Goat...not a dog
@@ColeTurner-sr8mc
Noem shot her own goat too.
@@SledDog5678 Too bad she doesn't feel the same way towards the present administration...
What a beautiful area Eagle Mountain is. If she wasn't home to hear it when it happened, and went out to feed them later in the day, it would have been more confusing and scary. What a sad experience losing her goat like that ❤
Poor Billy Goat 🐐. RIP
Poor goat, how sad.
What a crazy story...What a time to be alive. Rest in peace 🐐
"Back in the day we used to call these things a Boeing bomb" -Joe Dirt
As someone who played the littlest billy goat in my preschools play of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, I feel very unnerved by this brazen assault on my kin.
There needs to be flight path changes to go over the least populated areas. The routine flying over residential areas needs to be stopped.
Least populated ? Don't send them my way! 👿
The problem with not having flight paths over populated areas is that people build around existing airports, just like people build along highways, including loops meant to circumvent a city, and just like they have always built alongside rivers. It is a convenience to them, and, more importantly, it's a source of commerce. We can't just keep requiring the airports to move when enough of the people who live nearby no longer find it convenient.
Wtf???
😢😢😢😢 poor goat!!
I'm sorry to hear about your goat. Sue the airport.
the cost cutting is out of control from the airlines in the sky. SOMEBODY CALLED IN LIKE COVID, AND THE ICECUBE WENT OUT THE BACK HACH !!!!
jettisoning human waste from those planes....
Wow what are the odds!!!!
Okay, so what about airplanes causes a basketball sized chunk of ice to form?
I've lived in the flight path of airplanes most of my life and I've never heard of a chunk of ice falling from a plane. Fathers used to complain about broken windows from jets flying too low, but never heard of ice falling.
Ice forming on airplanes is a well known thing, since the 1930s airplanes have carried one of a couple different kinds of systems to remove ice from wings and tail surfaces. Temperature at typical airliner cruising altitude is well below zero, can be as much as 40 degrees below zero. Moisture in the air can condense in the slipstream around aircraft structure and lead to ice building up on it. Ice may thaw at warmer lower altitudes and fall off the aircraft.
Its not ice lol
It's from airplanes when they dump their sewage tank before landing.
Wait, planes dump their sewage over head?
Inconceivable
The Airlines should pay for replacement Goat & any damages caused as well as no allow ice & like items for disposal to be disposed of in this manner. The Airlines are lucky the wasn't a worse outcome frome this! Even though the property & animal are tragic enough
Poor baby
That's crazy.
WTH!!
They should analyze the ground around impact area
I got some questions for that goat
OMG!!!....I saw this in a dream and then it manifest!!!
👍
Like a Little Guy at T-Ball.....Dad is like "Keep you eyes in the ball !! Whack", right in the kisser!!!! Owwww !!
Thats Crazy😵💫
Im so sorry for your poor Goat, & for your loss
Now the whole world has to b scared of falling ice from planes😱 - I was imagining it must have come from a cloud
Now everyone beneath that flight path are wanting to move three streets away!
The first and last news reporting job this dude had.
But it will forever be news trivia.
Brutally injured.
The exact plane ( deduced by peanuts or macadamia)

Back to selling shoes at Payless for Poindexter here ... Top notch investigative journalism accent though.
We should put him with Geraldo and have a Capones Vault 3.0
Almost home.
😢
Thousssands of feet. Yes we need more drama in the news. I bet the ice was yellow.
Was it blue ice?
FAA reported it was a weird hail storm that produced just one very large hail stone. Crazy, right?
Was that baphomet?
Was it a blue ice chunk
Is it a comet?
Terrible bad luck. Analyze the content of that "ice". Let's learn a bit about what's going on in the sky above us. Much strength to the family.
Was it blue?
Thinking it’s water out of an airplanes toilet
That ice probably came off of an aircraft. This is why I don't think commercial aircraft or any aircraft should be flying over residential areas.
Holy shit balls.
They're supposed to be watching for asteroids, yet they can't even see the ice balls!
Is it possible it was from the toilets of a plane? Thats a major plane route to the airport, but I think planes dump the toilets over the ocean
That's really crazy. They've been talking about grapefruit size hail lately. Hopefully it wasn't a good milk goat!
Hiw many times did you hear "like" in 2:37 ?
And by the way , the choking hand gestures that jake taylor exhibited , perhaps could be linked somehow to the method used to "put.... The..... Goat....................down"
Like packing a suitcase with 12 extra things five minutes before leaving the garage.
Hate to owe Jake rent, looks like hes had practice .
Why is the ice brown and why are they rushing through the picture of the ice so fast? We see hail storm ice on the news almost every day lately and all that ice is pure white why is this ice brown. Looks like a big chunk of a meteor hit that shed instead of ice. Suspicious reporting here!
Flight tracking should be able to confirm what flight was overhead when that happened.
What is she talking about? It is the goat who was unlucky while she is the lucky one! ♤♤♤
Henny Penny, "The sky is falling, THE SKY IS FALLING!"
Nah it's just a hunk of ice off a plane flying by. Don't worry about that little piece of ice;
it's the satellite debris, sigh, coming from the sky!
The wizard got himself
🧊🪦 🐐😔💐
It could've been a neighbor testing their catapult out.
If she knows the exact time, they should be able to figure out what aurcraft was responsible.
This could have killed a person. Is this ice that the planes are dumping…or is this just ice that was accumulated on the plane and happened to fall off? If it’s dumping then planes shouldn’t be allowed to dump anything because people on the ground could be hurt or killed…..what if this had been a small child…
Has this "ice ball" been tested to determine its point of origin?
😮
Okay.
"Goat killed by basketball sized ice falling from the sky." is a headline i never thought i would hear, its like "Former president porn star hush money trial begins." 😂😂😂
I think this is when they dump their grey water tanks or their sewage system may have a leak and it froze at the leak and eventually got pulled off by friction.
For a moment I thought Tom Brady died… 😱
Imagine being the news guy who had to go on site just to film this 😂
Have you ever watched the Michael Caine movie - "Blue Ice". You might find it interesting on this subject.
No photos of whats left of fhe goat??? Lame
This really isn't about the Goat. It's a chunk of info to break apart like a Reeses Peanut butter cup.
See here----
That plane was already high enough that liquid freezes.
That goat had probably just stepped in their to check things out and then return to play .
Unfortunately, and this is where the chunk is broken open.
The travel time for that toilet brick saddled with the angle due to forward motion of the plane, I mean, what we are looking at here is nothin short of what the dudes saw looking thru the scopes below a B1 bomber back in the D.A.Y.
Now, like the gunner answered, in Apocalypse Now, when asked " how can you shoot innocent women and children" ---- his reply was " ya just gotta lead'em a little.
So here's the dealio, this plane let go of however many gallons above say, the shopping mall near this goats little shed.
Do the math ,but a solid gallon became a cannon ball with angles on it, and was rifled dang near sideways. But the Providence of this goat having it's slender body inside that hut, at just the right angle to swallow that brick and a few splinters .... Well ,it's just astronomical.
I've tended goats and these little live wires are all over the place All Day... There's no standing still chewing grass. That's cows.
Goats push forward with their mouths moving.
And always looking for something to chew on.
So here's my parental estimated guess.
This little pint of goats milk hears this Tidy Bowl Brick coming in hot and since he doesn't know how to fly, why would he look up?
He knows everything within the length of his leash that's chew worthy and nothing's ever whisked like this, especially as it gets louder and louder.
Investigating and curious he just has to go look because just about at impact this CHEM Trail diamond from the sky is howling down....
That little goat stuck just one horn inside the far corner of that hut....
And THAT was his last adventure at the end of a chain. The tornado of hay probably settled about ten seconds after the Pan American plunger bomb smashed that little goat into instant grits.
Too bad for kinda country at the edge of the block Susie who lost here friend , the good news is tractor supply will hookerr up again for like half a hundo.
Back to this news flash of trajectory though,
The angle of the dangle was directly proportionate to the heat of the meat today.
Y'all be good.
Too low an altitude to have released it. Not enough time to defrost.
Strange phenomenon 👀
Sweetie...it wasn't ice. Airliners routinely dump their toilet's contents, when they're at altitude. Green ice.
No, they don't. How does that make sense to you? The sheriffs and reporter would've mentioned that if it were true. Who told you that? lol There'd be COUNTLESS injuries and property damage in every region across the world... And it'd reek of poop. Here:
"Airplanes have never deliberately shot their toilet waste into the atmosphere, not even in the old days, says Jones. But if a leak occurs in the discharge pipe, since mid-air temperatures are well below freezing, any fluid coming out automatically freezes."
What happens to toilet water on a plane?
"The truck plugs a hose into the airplane's waste tank valve and removes all of the waste into the tank on the back of the truck. The truck then takes the waste to a special area at the airport reserved for the waste from all aeroplanes, and the toilet waste is emptied into the sewer system for that airport."
What are the odds ? From an airplane and a leaky toilet !
Are you sure you guys weren't hungry at the time this happend?
That's just bad luck, poor goat
I'm not saying it's aliens ... But it was aliens
They said its all safe.
well what is wrong with this picture......
Oh, that was Joe Dirt's lucky meteor.
If it really necessary for airlines to dump their piss and crap on people?
It was one of those "asteroids" like Joe Dirt found, brown with chunks of peanuts in it
I doubt it came from the sky? Some crazy person in the area
