    I worked in an aquarium store throughout college and I can tell you that octopuses can distinguish people by sight. One of the guys was a rough tank cleaner but I was fascinated by the octopus, hand feeding it and otherwise interacting with it.
    When the other guy came to the tank to clean or feed, the octopus hid but when I came it would come to the front of the tank to interact with me.

    One amazing thing about octopus vision is that they seem to be able to see as clearly on land as they do underwater. I think the octopus also recognizes a human face in the photo.

    • @Wizz15
      @Wizz15 14 днів тому +5

      I wonder if it was about the photo since they mentioned the objects were put there by divers, so I imagine divers visit there.
      Perhaps the octopus knows it’s a place where people normally go, so it guides the ‘lost’ humans there as well.

      @@Wizz15 That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm not so sure if it has anything to do with thinking the person might be lost, but maybe the octopus just saw a human, had seen other humans erecting that thing, and perhaps thought that's where this human it found belonged.

I adore animals because most of them are smarter than humans in general, but I wish they could see cars and planes and other vehicles as danger like we do, but they keep diving in front of them :( and some ppl don't look where they're going or even care 🤬 I say let's get rid of drugs and stuff that gets ppl drunk like wine, beer and so on for the greater of humanity. It's only killing us slowly and killing others faster due to one's incompetence. Something needs to be done and if you need something to take your mind off your problems, use games, art and other distractions that won't hurt others and themselves.
