  • Philippe Colin inherited his vineyard from his father, Michel Colin. Michel decided to retire in 2004 (I think in the video I said 2014). He spit his vineyard into 2 and gave half (9 hectares) to each son: Philippe and Bruno. Since then Philippe has added another few hectares so that he now owns around 14 hectares of vineyard.
Chassagne Montrachet (pronounced Mon ra shay) is a region in the Cote de Beaune region in Burgundy. The premier cru site is Les Chaumees (pronounced Sha may).
Philippe Colin produces 20+ wines with an annual production of around 90,000 bottles.
This wine was given 95 pts by Wine Spectator and only 150 cases of this wine was produced.
