Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies | Easy to Make, Soft & Crunchy Cookie Recipe

  • Oh, you should definitely try this amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe! This variation of chocolate chip is my favourite and it is so easy to make. The cookies always turn out great: soft and crunchy at the same time. Give it a try!:)
    i n g r e d i e n t s :
    • 120 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
    • 1/3 cup (50 g) brown sugar (1/4 cup if you like less sweet desserts)
    • 1 large egg, at room temperature
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 1/4 cups (180 g) all purpose flour
    • 1 tbsp (10 g) cornstarch
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 cup (100 g) chocolate chips (I use semi-sweet)
    • 1 cup (100 g) chopped pecans
    Bake the cookies at 325ºF/160ºC for 15-16 min (depending on your oven). This recipe makes about 15 cookies.
    * The baking time and temperature are only a guide. As every oven is different, you may need to make adjustments to get the right result.
    m e a s u r i n g :
    1 cup = 240 ml
    1 tbsp = 15 ml
    1 tsp = 5 ml

    Love your recipe and the exact measurement and other details . Just one question, most chocolate chip cookie recipes recommend chilling the dough for a few hours but you have baked them immediately and the results look good so why the difference ? This is just for my personal knowledge about baking. Thank you.

      Thank you so much, Nalini. Chilling the dough helps you have more consistent results every time you bake. Otherwise, the cookies can spread differently every time. But I’ve been using this recipe always with softened (at room temperature) butter and room temperature egg, and every time they turn out great even without chilling. But you can chill the dough, it can never hurt and it’s a good practice ☺️
