Thank you for this one in particular man, my reaction to this song was about the same as yours, when I heard it the first time. Bo is simply amazing and the song right here is a prime example of his genious. The depth of what is being "said" here is ridiculous. i stumbled on your channel from another bo burnham video and watching you listen and react to this song as it escalates has been a pure delight. keep it up bud.
This song is beyond genius. Bo's intellect and insight is beyond underrated man, and the way he demonstrated the truth in this funnily tragic musical way parodying a kid's song style is its own genius as well. Right after getting the sock to comply, he still takes him off anyway demonstrating the sock's complete lack of choice in the matter, just that he wants his compliance because of his ego's thirst for power, when he can just kill him off (or send him back to the suspended liminal space he was in lol) any time he wanted. Not to mention how throughout the sock's rant he was just smiling and nodding like a psychopath and being like, "Oh how cute, this sock thinks it can make a difference." This is exactly how the elite look at regular people. The fact that this was allowed on Netflix, a major corporation that the song practically criticizes as part of the sock's rant, is sort of like Bo allowing the sock to talk knowing it won't make a difference anyway.
"If he wants to make a super-positive song, nothing wrong with that."

Narrator: The sock did, in fact, have bars.
This reaction is fucking awesome. Massive like from here, man
I would honestly say watch Inside, the special this is from, from start to finish. Not even for your channel or to react publicly but to experience this in context. It's a work worth appreciating as a whole.
Real title: watch a man be shook for 9 minutes straight
Don't have your wife watch the song, just watch the full netflix special. He wrote and filmed the whole thing by himself in his room over quarantine and it's really good.
Thank you for this one in particular man, my reaction to this song was about the same as yours, when I heard it the first time. Bo is simply amazing and the song right here is a prime example of his genious. The depth of what is being "said" here is ridiculous. The fact the he is both the sock and the "elites" Socko is referring to, the statements made, the power dynamic, all this gets so deep, that it continues to just blow my mind.
Keep up your awesome work, sir! You are much appreciated!
"THE SOCK HAS BARS" LMAO
This is by far the best reaction to this song I've seen so far. I laughed so hard I think I woke up my neighbours. Please, PLEASE spread the word! Bo is a genius, and the world desperately needs more people like him.
This is the first reaction I've seen from you, so I don't know if you're familiar with Bo's work, but I suggest "Welcome to the internet" from this same special, it works without context. The older stuff kinda ties together, but other random songs could be "Country song" and "From God's perspective". I also love "Left brain, right brain" and "Lower your expectations".
Bo is literally a musical and comedic genius. So glad hes finally getting the dues he deserves.
This is THE BEST reaction to this song. Haha! I’m crying over here. I’d love to see your wife’s reaction. 🤣
i stumbled on your channel from another bo burnham video and watching you listen and react to this song as it escalates has been a pure delight. keep it up bud.
Inside by Bo Burnham is easily the best thing on Netflix in the last 3 or 4 years at least. Seriously everyone go watch it, truly an experience
