Man I feel you. I just turned 18 and got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago as well. Pain isn’t as bad as the first day tho thank goodness. But I am also tired of these soft foods 😔
Same case but not wisdom teeth, I got my milk teeth out cuz they were stuck in so bad that they didn't want to come out! It's the 3rd day, it hurts the worst, and I am craving for a BURGER 🍔😭
This is a bit abnormal getting surgery at 14 and 15. I was about to get at 16 but my dentist said that if someone get safe and successful surgery before turning 18, it would highly cause damage to ear nerve
@@AjayKumar-kf7gw and there's nothing you can do to avoid it. You can plan your pain meds all you want until it's time for bed. That's when the real fun begins.
Had 3 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. It went fast and no pain. Today just headache and a little throbbing but nothing to bad. I keep reading all the scary stories im deeply sorry for the people that have gone through pain. Guess my story was different.
I’m hoping this will be me in a few weeks. All of mine are either erupted or partially erupted. It’s crazy how excited I am for them to be gone. They cause me so many issues.

Depends on the person and how they take them out I guess. I got mine out about 18hrs ago and I have basically no swelling and just a tiny bit sore is all. Good luck!
25 and just had all 4 removed yesterday. They weren’t impacted but one had some decay but it honestly wasn’t bad at all. No swelling, bruising and just slight discomfort. For those who are nervous just get it done I promise you’ll look back at it and say it wasn’t that bad
Ughh I go tomorrow and all 4 of mine are just a regular extractions, not surgery to cut them out apparently that’s easier but yeah…. I’m totally losing my shit about it bc of the shots, and using gas freaks me out too but maybe they’ll do that since I’m so scared. Glad you said it wasn’t terrible.
@@karivitou2816 you’ll be fine brother, In all honesty I also refused to get poked with that big ass needle and didn’t want gas because you’re still conscious during procedure which bugged me out. I used general anesthesia and woke up 40 mins later to the procedure done. Only thing with anesthesia is you need to have someone pick you up afterwards. Regardless of which way you use, your recovery should be quick and easy since non were impacted like mine. Hope it all goes well , you got this 💪🏼
Girl I feel you, day one was an absolute nightmare for me and I also watched Lilo & Stitch to relieve the pain 🥺🥺🥺 I’m currently on day 4 now and the pain is very minimal to almost nothing 🥹 so far everything has gone well 🥺🥺🥺
Just got all four of mine out about 18 hrs ago. Basically no swelling and a very hint of bruising but almost no pain at all just a little sore! I guess we are lucky and I’m grateful!!!!
I had all four of mine pulled about two weeks ago! I was definitely scared sh*tless, but it was over before I knew it -- and MAN, I was high as a kite when I woke up again! I don't even remember half the stuff I said during the drive home, but I made my parents laugh-cry during the whole car ride. A couple hours later, I beat my dad at Sorry!, and I happily had some mashed potatoes and ice cream. Recovery process was mostly a breeze because I kept taking painkillers every few hours, and I'm at the point where I'm slowly going back into my routine! I'm still staying away from the extra crunchy foods (like popcorn, nuts and granola bars), but for the most part, I can eat most foods without any trouble! I just gotta, you know... make sure I don't start bleeding again? 😅😂 Kudos to you for getting all four teeth taken out! I know there was pain and discomfort afterwards, but hey - you did it!!!!
@@Nick-nv1mk I think it differs for a lot of people. In my case, I’d say it was a little over a month before all the stiffness completely went away. And even then, I was still careful and chose to avoid the crunchier foods (like nuts and popcorn) until I was sure the gums had fully healed and closed up.
It's so strange how different it is for people because with me I had all 4 removed without being put under.. they all came out easily besides one that like cracked..? but they cleaned it up and afterwards I had a slight pain in my jaw muscle but after a day of that I was completely fine. Zero pain at all. Was just nervous about getting dry socket or some kinda infection. To be fair though my wisdom teeth were completely up and in place and had been for years. I only got them removed because occasionally I would have my gums form over the bottom ones and that was pretty annoying and painful
just got mine out at 11 this morning. hope this finds the person who was as nervous as i was. i made sure not to drink or eat anything 6 hours prior to the procedure. after discussing sedation options we figured the iv was best just because it was the only one my oral surgeon said would for sure knock me out 100%. they hooked me up to a heart monitor, and started looking for a vein to pierce. once pierced i didnt feel anything for maybe 10 minutes but i deadass cannot remember a single thing that happened after the doctor asked me a couple of questions probably just to check if i was still awake. next thing I know im in a wheelchair with my mom recording. and a bunch of cotton in my mouth. all in all, its a very very very easy process. just learn what to expect and dont sike yourself out. remember everyone has to do it at some point. just get it over with.
My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row. Mine was extracted by general aesthetic. Lots of tugging and a grown man ripping my cheek apart! (Literally) took around 30mins to extract 1 tooth. No pain during surgery- just VERY uncomfortable and felt a ton of pressure. Kids, if you never taken drugs well now is your time to shine! I took pain killers an hour after surgery as pre caution and took pain killers every 4 hours. The bleeding didn’t stop for 6 hours after surgery so went back to the dentist, they checked it and said it’s nothing to worry about. REMEMBER to use a WET gauze for 30mins & then leave the gauze out and see if it clots on its own. Worked a treat for me On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt. - force yourself to shove some baby like food down! Later that evening I had sore throat and face started to swell like a balloon. Used ice on cheeks. The bleeding went down during the night on its own. No beauty sleep, I slept upright, which was very uncomfortable. Buy a travel neck pillow! Day 2- Prepare to look like Quagmire or as if you had botched jaw filler! Sore throat but no pain. Got a fever, used wet cold towel on my head throughout the day. Nasty blood taste in mouth but no active bleeding.. Fine wine and dine: porridge, rice pudding, ice cream, soup and sipped on lots of water throughout the day. Been taking pain killers every 6 hours through out the day. I managed to brush some of my pearly whites very carefully, Avoiding the site of extraction . (This made me feel better) Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night. Day 3 - Wednesday - still rocking the botched jaw filler look. throat is very sore, voice is gone, blocked nose, headache. Think I got a cold. Fever has gone down. Nasty taste in mouth. Done salt and water rinse (check on UA-cam how to). Meal of choice: soft foods, drank the whole ocean, cold matcha tea. VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing Only taken 2 pain killers. Pain level is like when you bite into your cheek. Day 4- woohoo, survived the worst-treat yourself to a lush spa in your shower and wash those greasy locks! blotched jaw filler still intact. Still got a cold and slight cough. I Used Vicks in hot water and breathed in the steam to clear the mucus. Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright) On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream! Now in rehab & taken no pain killers. Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide For day 9 onwards (or when you start eating solid foods) - buy a irrigatoring syringe (eBay, Amazon) you will need to use this for the next month onwards to clean and flush out food particles that get stuck in your wisdom hole

Got my wisdom teeth pulled out so I didn’t have to get them pulled during training. Heart goes out to you hope you’ve healed nicely by now never realized how many favorite foods of mine are crunchy till my family ate breakfast next morning lol. 😊
I’m on day two… I’m a grown ass man 6’0 225lbs 13% body fat!! Built like a tank. I got two daughters n a wife.. when I tell u this pain and discomfort has me curled up like a baby 😂😂😂.. My first day I ate ice cream and soup. Then day two I was able to eat soft pancakes.. Day three is still to come! It’s 10:45 rn and my pain is starting to creep back in. Probably time for me to take sum more meds
I just got my wisdom teeth took out today and honestly I’ve felt no pain so far, which is kinda weird. Not much swelling yet either. I’ve just been living in my couch reading painting and watching movies. (And living on a diet of mashed potatoes :’) )
I had to get an impacted wisdom tooth taken out 5 days ago and I only had local numbing stayed up and watched it was fine. I’m not aloud to take any pain meds at all because of medication that interacts with my liver enzymes I could only take like a normal Tylenol when it get really bad dude that was hell. I barley ate anything for like 3 days lost 20 pounds but now I’m eating again pain is minimal and I’m moving into my new house ❤
just found out that medication also affects my liver enzymes! is there specific medications that affects you? do you have any symptoms when your enzymes get high?
I just got nine removed this morning (two wisdom, and two baby teeth that were fused to my jaw, all of the bottom) and ice packs has been a godsend. They're the only thing that has stopped me from baking my eyes out. About an hour ago I forgot to ice bc I was taking a nap, when I woke up to change my gauze it hurt like an sob.
I got 4 rootcanals omggg i cried for 8 hrs stright especially the doc injected me too deep by mistake ooommmm and now i have to get my right side wisdom tooth out😢 im sad nooo not agian
@@SecureMedal68depends with your pocket.The only place you can atleast be sure of a king/queens treat is on a high end facility.This others you have to do your own local research.i have friends who have cried during a normal extraction.Imagin the same guy performing a root canal.

It will! I got mine took out 2 weekends ago and by day 4 the bleeding stopped completely. In my case, my jaw wasn't as hurt as the others commented. It was my cheek that hurt after the bleeding stopped for some reason. But few days ago, I could smile big without feeling the pain. The meds I got was paracetamol lol but thank god it helped reduce the pain xD I wish you speed recovery!
@@vAdrenaline on day 3 it stopped bleeding and everything went back to normal , but my jaw hurts a little bit . I went today to the dentist to remove the stitches and he told me that we will have to remove the top left wisdom tooth, and i need to put braces . So in other words im fk’ed

I got mine removed yesterday. My og clinic said go to this one, mentioned what to expect and getting the laughing gas. Went there and they didn't know I was talking about (the two clinics weren't communicating and I was following what my doctor told me to do), few hours of waiting I was told I was gonna have to do it awake. Got it done and I was sent with a small bag of gauze. It was my very first procedure for anything and I was not made aware they were supposed to send me pain meds until today. Lots of pain before *just now* getting pain meds other than Tylenol. Big *bruh* moment for me
I had one taken out 2 years ago as a short notice extraction as it was giving me trouble. I was conscious with just local anaesthetic as it was at an after hours dentist. So I kinda knew what it was like, and felt less anxious for getting the others out. A couple months ago I finally got round to having the other 3 taken out. I only had local anaesthetic so was totally conscious for the whole thing, just had a very numb mouth (it was cheaper and I couldn't be bothered arranging for anyone to pick me up from the clinic, which is a requirement for sedation). Didn't hurt when they were taken out, just felt some pressure when the dentist was twisting them before pulling them out. Afterwards I went to the pharmacy to pickup my prescription for antibiotics and codeine and then home on the bus. As I got home, the numbness from the anaesthetic was wearing off, so I took 2 codeine pills and was high as a kite for the next 4 hours 🥴 I took several days of sick leave, so had time to recover and be high on codeine and watch Yellowstone for basically the whole time 😂
The waking up crying after the medication has worn off is SO relatable literally was me and my aunt asked otw home did I want to get my medicine ( but this being my 1st surgery and not knowing I said no ) I definitely regretted it but she filled the prescription and I started my healing journey
I've got 2 removed yesterday and one a year ago; the "hack" or my dentist's guide to painless recovery is : 1) pop your prescribed painkiller 2-3 hours BEFORE the extraction, one after the extraction if you're sensitive to pain 2) next day onwards painkiller every 6 hours 3) not missing on your antibiotic dosage 4) icepack!!! So relieving. For 2 days straight - Gently putting it on the cheek for 5 seconds and repeat 5) no pressure on the surgery area of the mouth in any way DO NOT WAIT FOR THE PAIN TO CREEP BACK IN, TAKE THE IBUPROFEN/PAINKILLER EVERY 6 HOURS, GUYS. It's just for a couple of days, it wont harm you (take an antacid first tho empty stomach in the morning) - but will save you a lot of tears :) I wish everyone a painfree, easy relaxed recovery. The surgery with all the anaesthesia and numbing might seem scary but you got this. You'll come out fine! ❤
I got all four out today. I’m not trying to be a big bag but it genuinely hurts so much. I’d say a 6-7/10 but it’s constant. The medicine helps me go to sleep for a while but it wears off pretty quickly. I’m so hungry, and it doesn’t hurt to eat, but food makes the socket itself irritated. I’m just gonna try and sleep through the whole thing 😢
I understand how you feel...I JUST got my wisdom teeth done today..and it wasn't the worst. I didn't even really feel any pain or anything.. the needle hurts a little bit but then you just relax and rest lmao
I got 2 wisdom teeth surgically removed about a week ago. I was under anesthesia because of anxiety. It took them 4,5 hours, yes hours! It was apparently really hard to get to them out because they where both really stuck but there was also bone partly covering them. Considering it’s normal like a 40-60 minute procedure you can imagine it was probably bad😂. When I was done they talked to my mom and said that I would probably feel bad for quite a while, at least a week because what they did was definitely a lot for my body to handle. So it has now been 5 days and I still feel like crap😂. Good luck to everyone who still has to get them removed. I’m so happy the top two are super underdeveloped and won’t ever be able to grow big enough roots to make any issues😁
By the way, everyone's wisdom teeth grows at a different pace and may not need them removed if they grown in straight. You do not have to get all four taken out at once!....I did the top 2 at a different time from my bottom wisdom teeth... I did one tooth extraction when I was 24 yrs old, then came back 3 months later and did the other top teeth. Then, at 32 I got the lower wisdom taken out at once...I went through the healing process 3 times... Dental surgery was not painful. I felt nothing during sedation. However, I was conscious and had anesthesia for my top removals ....I say sedation is better than Anesthesia for zero pain😄
I had my 3 wisdom teeth removed today . 2 hours later im in bad pain omg. If i would know that it hurts that bad i wouldnt go😢😢😢😢😢😢 C section was less painful than this 😢. Of course its not the same for everyone so dont worry .
Ugh girl me too. I just got all four of mine removed but i got put to sleep cause i had to get an apicoectomy too and there was no way i would have been able to hear the sounds of teeth cracking and all of everything else that comes with it. All i remember is the doctor holding my arm up administering the sleeps meds. I feel asleep so fast. I woke up high too but that nap was needed. Been in bed all day cranky and i didnt think to watch disney. They told me to take 600mg of ibuprofen, i took 800 cause i know that wouldnt have helped. Im starting to feel a little better and i cant wait to eat some real food. Im not a fan of jello, pudding, etc. Thanks for sharing.

I had 4 removed yesterday, i’m not very good with anesthesia so I always end up pretty nauseous afterward. The pain isn’t so bad but I can’t really open my mouth a whole lot. One thing that frikin sucks is the blood, I’ve always hate that metallic taste in my mouth so it makes things worse for me because it kinda mixes with the soft foods I’m eating or the water I drink.
Getting wisdom teeth out is pointless unless you’re susceptible to an infection. They don’t cause crowding (that’s a myth). They literally have no bad outcomes if you brush your teeth.
Keep face iced and swelling will be no problem - my son had all 4 of his done over Thanksgiving Break and he did fabulous!!! I did give him pain meds the first couple of days because I didn’t want his pain to get ahead of him.
33 yrs old and just got 4 out plus a molar I broke! So 5 teeth total extracted. It’s day 4 and I just feel a little pressure in the spots but no pain ❤
Wisdom tooth extraction site pa8n is no joke...I had a super impacted one extracted about 6 months ago and I will tell you, the roots were so oddly shaped they had to break it in half and pull 2 inch and a half pieces out😭😭😭I got home and had to have my gramma pick up my medication right after because the nerve block wore off right as I laid down and it felt like Mike Tyson wore a pair of brass knuckles and gave one good iron man punch straight to the face
I just got mine removed yesterday and in addition to all four wisdom teeth and addition three teeth in one session and let me tell you I’m on day two, I look like a chipmunk gone rogue 😢❤but soaking my face in an ice water bath in a small bowl is so relaxing and helps the healing process
got mine out 9 days ago and it was mad ez low-key, first day yeah it sucked but everything after was nothing, just stay on ibuprofen, Percocet, and antibiotics to keep socket infection, (I smoked too and I was fine)
I got mine out Tuesday it’s now Thursday and I’ve lost weight I worked extremely hard to gain. Currently hating not having solid food . 102 down to 93lb. 😖

I’m on Long Island .. got all 4 out 2 in bone 2 out and I got a premolar out I’m minimal pain and slight swelling not really noticeable to other people but I feel it dr McKay did her thing I can’t wait to thank her when I see her but we’ll see about tm 3rd day I heard was the worst

I got my wisdom teeth removed and it wasn’t that bad. I only used numbing and stayed awake through it. The pain after was bearable, just take the medicine and you’ll be good. Not too bad at all.. only took like 30-40 mins to get them out and I was out right away. I’m on second day now and it’s still fine.
i just did local only, the laughing gas is just to keep you at ease if youre nervous while they take it out. but its not bad, you just feel the pressure of them doing it but no pain. @@stephaniesanchez667
Had my wisdom teeth removed about 3 hours ago, all 4 in one go, no gas or nun, just anesthesia. Pain is currently at around a 4-5, either my body is just built different, or I'm boutta go through hell. I'll update this tomorrow Day 2: Couldn't sleep last night, was super cold but would overheat when using blanket. But I ate some food, took acetaminophen and slept through the night. Woke up and the pain is way less than it was, but more visably swolen.
I'm 14 and got all 4 out today. I never got laughing gas. First thing was they applied the needle to my vein, connected a tube to it which was connected to an ouch of liquid. Once the liquid started going through my vein I lasted 9 seconds conscious .
I turned 18 this Monday and suddenly this morning I woke up to flaring pain in my jaw that goes up my face through my nose and behind my eyes😵💫I feel them pushing like crazy for the first time and they need to go!!!
Did the exact same thing, got a good chest day in and had Wing Stop for dinner before getting them out. Now it’s day 2 for me and I look like I have the mumps 😂
Oh yeah girl them teeth either: 1 weren’t ready to come out cause they lowkey just look like buds or 2 they are pbony or full bony and THOSE SUCK TO GET! Mine was a horizontally impacted partial bony wisdom tooth and it was ass getting that one out, I’d say a full 25 min just for one lower to be extracted. KUDOS THO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN!
Getting all 4 removed tomorrow. Pretty nervous, and I’m not really sure what to expect. I’m also not getting the IV, has anybody else done the same? Just feel like a little relatability could help 😅
It's been almost 2 weeks since i had 4 wisdom out. Honestly the first 3 days was so terrible. As i couldnt eat much, i felt sick and faint. It was so bad and the pain kept on until a week i felt better but I had pain on the left side more than the right side (idk why). Right now i only feel alil pain on my left jaw and somewhere near my left ear (idk why) but still can't open my mouth properly.
I got the rest of my last remaining wisdom teeth removed today and I wasn't knocked out I was wide awake with numbcream injection shots in my gum or teeth wherever it needed to go, but I still felt pain a bit mostly pressure and there is slightly a bit of nerve pain also I had to have stitches up top of my gum afterwards due to how deep my wisdom teeth were, but wishfully I'll feel better ASAP
Hey! I’m on day 3 recovery right now and it definitely isn’t the most fun thing but it’s definitely doable! My biggest thing is ice and take the meds they give you when you need. I alternate between ibuprofen and Tylenol every three hours even through the night and it seems to have really helped. My biggest thing has been the lack of eating foods I really love that’s been the hardest:( it’s just going to take some getting use to to not spit the first day for sure and make sure to eat very slowly to avoid pain. Yesterday aka the day after surgery was kinda the worst as far as swollen and pain. But it was still very much doable
Why nobody is talking about numbness or losing sensibility! I’m starting to think the doctor who took out my two Winston teeth was not prepared enough! I don’t feel my lower lip at all, and it is been over 5 hours since then 😢
@@jazmin0511 Update: Actually yes! Thanks God I recovered feeling in my lower lip and chin. I believed it was because The doctor had to use a lot of anestesia due to I was still feeling pain. I lasted around 10h, but it was a traumatic feeling or lack of feeling. That numbness was really cumbersome. Now I'm starving
@@jazmin0511its just anesthesia. nothing to be stressed about, i got all four out a few days ago and i literally ate a steak the night after surgery. if your lucky like me, it wont effect you too badly. just make sure to keep up on ur antibiotics and hygiene and ur chilling
Im 15 and got my wisdom teeth out today but i had to get a moler out with it too since the wisdom teeth affected it. The pain isnt bad its just numbness and that it only hurts on the side i got the moler out

Fun fact about me: I removed the growth of my wisdom teeth a 13 and sometimes my gums ache. I abseloutely regret doing that cause the pain can sometmes can a little bit extreme. But hey, at least I dont have to go through a painful surgery.

Had 3 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. It went fast and no pain. Today just headache and a little throbbing but nothing to bad. I keep reading all the scary stories im deeply sorry for the people that have gone through pain. Guess my story was different.

Just got mine done about 12 hours ago and the pain is complete hell. Ice cream, yogurt, and ibuprofen has been my best friend all day. 😢

25 and just had all 4 removed yesterday. They weren’t impacted but one had some decay but it honestly wasn’t bad at all. No swelling, bruising and just slight discomfort. For those who are nervous just get it done I promise you’ll look back at it and say it wasn’t that bad
Ughh I go tomorrow and all 4 of mine are just a regular extractions, not surgery to cut them out apparently that’s easier but yeah…. I’m totally losing my shit about it bc of the shots, and using gas freaks me out too but maybe they’ll do that since I’m so scared. Glad you said it wasn’t terrible.
@@karivitou2816 you’ll be fine brother, In all honesty I also refused to get poked with that big ass needle and didn’t want gas because you’re still conscious during procedure which bugged me out. I used general anesthesia and woke up 40 mins later to the procedure done. Only thing with anesthesia is you need to have someone pick you up afterwards. Regardless of which way you use, your recovery should be quick and easy since non were impacted like mine. Hope it all goes well , you got this 💪🏼

Girl I feel you, day one was an absolute nightmare for me and I also watched Lilo & Stitch to relieve the pain 🥺🥺🥺 I’m currently on day 4 now and the pain is very minimal to almost nothing 🥹 so far everything has gone well 🥺🥺🥺

Just got all four of mine out about 18 hrs ago. Basically no swelling and a very hint of bruising but almost no pain at all just a little sore! I guess we are lucky and I’m grateful!!!!

I had all four of mine pulled about two weeks ago! I was definitely scared sh*tless, but it was over before I knew it -- and MAN, I was high as a kite when I woke up again! I don't even remember half the stuff I said during the drive home, but I made my parents laugh-cry during the whole car ride. A couple hours later, I beat my dad at Sorry!, and I happily had some mashed potatoes and ice cream. Recovery process was mostly a breeze because I kept taking painkillers every few hours, and I'm at the point where I'm slowly going back into my routine! I'm still staying away from the extra crunchy foods (like popcorn, nuts and granola bars), but for the most part, I can eat most foods without any trouble! I just gotta, you know... make sure I don't start bleeding again? 😅😂
Kudos to you for getting all four teeth taken out! I know there was pain and discomfort afterwards, but hey - you did it!!!!

@@Nick-nv1mk I think it differs for a lot of people. In my case, I’d say it was a little over a month before all the stiffness completely went away. And even then, I was still careful and chose to avoid the crunchier foods (like nuts and popcorn) until I was sure the gums had fully healed and closed up.
It's so strange how different it is for people because with me I had all 4 removed without being put under.. they all came out easily besides one that like cracked..? but they cleaned it up and afterwards I had a slight pain in my jaw muscle but after a day of that I was completely fine. Zero pain at all. Was just nervous about getting dry socket or some kinda infection. To be fair though my wisdom teeth were completely up and in place and had been for years. I only got them removed because occasionally I would have my gums form over the bottom ones and that was pretty annoying and painful
just got mine out at 11 this morning. hope this finds the person who was as nervous as i was. i made sure not to drink or eat anything 6 hours prior to the procedure. after discussing sedation options we figured the iv was best just because it was the only one my oral surgeon said would for sure knock me out 100%. they hooked me up to a heart monitor, and started looking for a vein to pierce. once pierced i didnt feel anything for maybe 10 minutes but i deadass cannot remember a single thing that happened after the doctor asked me a couple of questions probably just to check if i was still awake. next thing I know im in a wheelchair with my mom recording. and a bunch of cotton in my mouth. all in all, its a very very very easy process. just learn what to expect and dont sike yourself out. remember everyone has to do it at some point. just get it over with.

My experience so far - hope this helps anyone getting their wisdom out
Day 1- just before the torture-Eat a big meal before surgery as if your on death row. Mine was extracted by general aesthetic.
Lots of tugging and a grown man ripping my cheek apart! (Literally) took around 30mins to extract 1 tooth. No pain during surgery- just VERY uncomfortable and felt a ton of pressure.
Kids, if you never taken drugs well now is your time to shine! I took pain killers an hour after surgery as pre caution and took pain killers every 4 hours.
The bleeding didn’t stop for 6 hours after surgery so went back to the dentist, they checked it and said it’s nothing to worry about. REMEMBER to use a WET gauze for 30mins & then leave the gauze out and see if it clots on its own. Worked a treat for me
On tonight’s delicious menu: soup cooled down, water, yogurt. - force yourself to shove some baby like food down!
Later that evening I had sore throat and face started to swell like a balloon.
Used ice on cheeks. The bleeding went down during the night on its own.
No beauty sleep, I slept upright, which was very uncomfortable. Buy a travel neck pillow!
Day 2- Prepare to look like Quagmire or as if you had botched jaw filler! Sore throat but no pain. Got a fever, used wet cold towel on my head throughout the day.
Nasty blood taste in mouth but no active bleeding..
Fine wine and dine: porridge, rice pudding, ice cream, soup and sipped on lots of water throughout the day.
Been taking pain killers every 6 hours through out the day. I managed to brush some of my pearly whites very carefully, Avoiding the site of extraction . (This made me feel better)
Beauty sleep was better than the night before but still uncomfortable & kept waking up. Slight pain 4/10 at night.
Day 3 - Wednesday - still rocking the botched jaw filler look. throat is very sore, voice is gone, blocked nose, headache. Think I got a cold. Fever has gone down. Nasty taste in mouth. Done salt and water rinse (check on UA-cam how to).
Meal of choice: soft foods, drank the whole ocean, cold matcha tea. VERY IMPORTANT-salt rinse after each meal- and after brushing
Only taken 2 pain killers. Pain level is like when you bite into your cheek.
Day 4- woohoo, survived the worst-treat yourself to a lush spa in your shower and wash those greasy locks! blotched jaw filler still intact. Still got a cold and slight cough. I Used Vicks in hot water and breathed in the steam to clear the mucus.
Slept like a baby- but now got bad neck pains (due to sleeping upright)
On tonight’s menu: Wonderful soup, mash, lots of water, and tub of ice cream!
Now in rehab & taken no pain killers.
Still brushing my teeth like a 1 year old. Challenged myself and even tried a bit of flossing, jaw hurts so can’t open mouth that wide
For day 9 onwards (or when you start eating solid foods) - buy a irrigatoring syringe (eBay, Amazon) you will need to use this for the next month onwards to clean and flush out food particles that get stuck in your wisdom hole
Wow, I'm talking about going to work the same day. Get one done next Thursday at 3 and go to work at 11. Guess that won't happen 😮

I’m on day two… I’m a grown ass man 6’0 225lbs 13% body fat!! Built like a tank. I got two daughters n a wife.. when I tell u this pain and discomfort has me curled up like a baby 😂😂😂..
My first day I ate ice cream and soup. Then day two I was able to eat soft pancakes..
Day three is still to come! It’s 10:45 rn and my pain is starting to creep back in. Probably time for me to take sum more meds

I just got my wisdom teeth took out today and honestly I’ve felt no pain so far, which is kinda weird. Not much swelling yet either. I’ve just been living in my couch reading painting and watching movies. (And living on a diet of mashed potatoes :’) )
If the tooth was already developed and uncovered it’s way easier to remove and way less painful.
I had to get an impacted wisdom tooth taken out 5 days ago and I only had local numbing stayed up and watched it was fine. I’m not aloud to take any pain meds at all because of medication that interacts with my liver enzymes I could only take like a normal Tylenol when it get really bad dude that was hell. I barley ate anything for like 3 days lost 20 pounds but now I’m eating again pain is minimal and I’m moving into my new house ❤

I just got nine removed this morning (two wisdom, and two baby teeth that were fused to my jaw, all of the bottom) and ice packs has been a godsend. They're the only thing that has stopped me from baking my eyes out. About an hour ago I forgot to ice bc I was taking a nap, when I woke up to change my gauze it hurt like an sob.
I got 4 rootcanals omggg i cried for 8 hrs stright especially the doc injected me too deep by mistake ooommmm and now i have to get my right side wisdom tooth out😢 im sad nooo not agian

i got a root canal without anesthesia it's been a couple of months still doesn't hurt,neither it did during surgery.my doctor was a literal angel

It will! I got mine took out 2 weekends ago and by day 4 the bleeding stopped completely. In my case, my jaw wasn't as hurt as the others commented. It was my cheek that hurt after the bleeding stopped for some reason. But few days ago, I could smile big without feeling the pain. The meds I got was paracetamol lol but thank god it helped reduce the pain xD

I got mine removed yesterday. My og clinic said go to this one, mentioned what to expect and getting the laughing gas. Went there and they didn't know I was talking about (the two clinics weren't communicating and I was following what my doctor told me to do), few hours of waiting I was told I was gonna have to do it awake. Got it done and I was sent with a small bag of gauze. It was my very first procedure for anything and I was not made aware they were supposed to send me pain meds until today. Lots of pain before *just now* getting pain meds other than Tylenol. Big *bruh* moment for me

I had one taken out 2 years ago as a short notice extraction as it was giving me trouble. I was conscious with just local anaesthetic as it was at an after hours dentist. So I kinda knew what it was like, and felt less anxious for getting the others out.
A couple months ago I finally got round to having the other 3 taken out.
I only had local anaesthetic so was totally conscious for the whole thing, just had a very numb mouth (it was cheaper and I couldn't be bothered arranging for anyone to pick me up from the clinic, which is a requirement for sedation). Didn't hurt when they were taken out, just felt some pressure when the dentist was twisting them before pulling them out.
Afterwards I went to the pharmacy to pickup my prescription for antibiotics and codeine and then home on the bus.
As I got home, the numbness from the anaesthetic was wearing off, so I took 2 codeine pills and was high as a kite for the next 4 hours 🥴
I took several days of sick leave, so had time to recover and be high on codeine and watch Yellowstone for basically the whole time 😂
The waking up crying after the medication has worn off is SO relatable literally was me and my aunt asked otw home did I want to get my medicine ( but this being my 1st surgery and not knowing I said no ) I definitely regretted it but she filled the prescription and I started my healing journey
I've got 2 removed yesterday and one a year ago; the "hack" or my dentist's guide to painless recovery is :
1) pop your prescribed painkiller 2-3 hours BEFORE the extraction, one after the extraction if you're sensitive to pain
2) next day onwards painkiller every 6 hours
3) not missing on your antibiotic dosage
4) icepack!!! So relieving. For 2 days straight - Gently putting it on the cheek for 5 seconds and repeat
5) no pressure on the surgery area of the mouth in any way
DO NOT WAIT FOR THE PAIN TO CREEP BACK IN, TAKE THE IBUPROFEN/PAINKILLER EVERY 6 HOURS, GUYS. It's just for a couple of days, it wont harm you (take an antacid first tho empty stomach in the morning) - but will save you a lot of tears :)
I wish everyone a painfree, easy relaxed recovery. The surgery with all the anaesthesia and numbing might seem scary but you got this. You'll come out fine! ❤
I got all four out today. I’m not trying to be a big bag but it genuinely hurts so much. I’d say a 6-7/10 but it’s constant. The medicine helps me go to sleep for a while but it wears off pretty quickly. I’m so hungry, and it doesn’t hurt to eat, but food makes the socket itself irritated. I’m just gonna try and sleep through the whole thing 😢
I understand how you feel...I JUST got my wisdom teeth done today..and it wasn't the worst. I didn't even really feel any pain or anything.. the needle hurts a little bit but then you just relax and rest lmao

I got 2 wisdom teeth surgically removed about a week ago. I was under anesthesia because of anxiety. It took them 4,5 hours, yes hours! It was apparently really hard to get to them out because they where both really stuck but there was also bone partly covering them. Considering it’s normal like a 40-60 minute procedure you can imagine it was probably bad😂. When I was done they talked to my mom and said that I would probably feel bad for quite a while, at least a week because what they did was definitely a lot for my body to handle. So it has now been 5 days and I still feel like crap😂. Good luck to everyone who still has to get them removed. I’m so happy the top two are super underdeveloped and won’t ever be able to grow big enough roots to make any issues😁

By the way, everyone's wisdom teeth grows at a different pace and may not need them removed if they grown in straight. You do not have to get all four taken out at once!....I did the top 2 at a different time from my bottom wisdom teeth... I did one tooth extraction when I was 24 yrs old, then came back 3 months later and did the other top teeth. Then, at 32 I got the lower wisdom taken out at once...I went through the healing process 3 times... Dental surgery was not painful. I felt nothing during sedation. However, I was conscious and had anesthesia for my top removals ....I say sedation is better than Anesthesia for zero pain😄
I had my 3 wisdom teeth removed today . 2 hours later im in bad pain omg. If i would know that it hurts that bad i wouldnt go😢😢😢😢😢😢 C section was less painful than this 😢. Of course its not the same for everyone so dont worry .

Ugh girl me too. I just got all four of mine removed but i got put to sleep cause i had to get an apicoectomy too and there was no way i would have been able to hear the sounds of teeth cracking and all of everything else that comes with it. All i remember is the doctor holding my arm up administering the sleeps meds. I feel asleep so fast. I woke up high too but that nap was needed. Been in bed all day cranky and i didnt think to watch disney. They told me to take 600mg of ibuprofen, i took 800 cause i know that wouldnt have helped. Im starting to feel a little better and i cant wait to eat some real food. Im not a fan of jello, pudding, etc. Thanks for sharing.
I'm 15, and I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. I can't wait to have fast food again. My family, on the night of me writing this, bought Panda Express for everyone except for me because I had my wisdom teeth removed. I WAS (still am) LIVID.

I had 4 removed yesterday, i’m not very good with anesthesia so I always end up pretty nauseous afterward. The pain isn’t so bad but I can’t really open my mouth a whole lot. One thing that frikin sucks is the blood, I’ve always hate that metallic taste in my mouth so it makes things worse for me because it kinda mixes with the soft foods I’m eating or the water I drink.
OMG I just got all 4 removed last night & cried when I got home too! Waiting for the painkillers to kick in was NOT fun. Hope you’ve healed nicely! ❤

Getting wisdom teeth out is pointless unless you’re susceptible to an infection. They don’t cause crowding (that’s a myth). They literally have no bad outcomes if you brush your teeth.
Keep face iced and swelling will be no problem - my son had all 4 of his done over Thanksgiving Break and he did fabulous!!! I did give him pain meds the first couple of days because I didn’t want his pain to get ahead of him.
33 yrs old and just got 4 out plus a molar I broke! So 5 teeth total extracted. It’s day 4 and I just feel a little pressure in the spots but no pain ❤

Wisdom tooth extraction site pa8n is no joke...I had a super impacted one extracted about 6 months ago and I will tell you, the roots were so oddly shaped they had to break it in half and pull 2 inch and a half pieces out😭😭😭I got home and had to have my gramma pick up my medication right after because the nerve block wore off right as I laid down and it felt like Mike Tyson wore a pair of brass knuckles and gave one good iron man punch straight to the face
I just got mine removed yesterday and in addition to all four wisdom teeth and addition three teeth in one session and let me tell you I’m on day two, I look like a chipmunk gone rogue 😢❤but soaking my face in an ice water bath in a small bowl is so relaxing and helps the healing process
got mine out 9 days ago and it was mad ez low-key, first day yeah it sucked but everything after was nothing, just stay on ibuprofen, Percocet, and antibiotics to keep socket infection, (I smoked too and I was fine)
I got mine out Tuesday it’s now Thursday and I’ve lost weight I worked extremely hard to gain. Currently hating not having solid food . 102 down to 93lb. 😖

I’m on Long Island .. got all 4 out 2 in bone 2 out and I got a premolar out I’m minimal pain and slight swelling not really noticeable to other people but I feel it dr McKay did her thing I can’t wait to thank her when I see her but we’ll see about tm 3rd day I heard was the worst

I just got 5 of mine taken away 😭 I had no idea cause my parents thought it was just gonna be a normal brace appointment, until we got there and told me us actually for my wisdom teeth
I got my wisdom teeth removed and it wasn’t that bad. I only used numbing and stayed awake through it. The pain after was bearable, just take the medicine and you’ll be good. Not too bad at all.. only took like 30-40 mins to get them out and I was out right away. I’m on second day now and it’s still fine.

Had my wisdom teeth removed about 3 hours ago, all 4 in one go, no gas or nun, just anesthesia. Pain is currently at around a 4-5, either my body is just built different, or I'm boutta go through hell. I'll update this tomorrow
Day 2: Couldn't sleep last night, was super cold but would overheat when using blanket. But I ate some food, took acetaminophen and slept through the night. Woke up and the pain is way less than it was, but more visably swolen.

Im 21 and had 5 wisdom teeth and got them removed today... they gave me really good meds and my mouth is stilll aching

I'm 14 and got all 4 out today. I never got laughing gas. First thing was they applied the needle to my vein, connected a tube to it which was connected to an ouch of liquid. Once the liquid started going through my vein I lasted 9 seconds conscious .
Had all my 4 wisdom tooth removed yesterday. Thank god I was in complete sedation throughout the entire process.
God! I’m getting it done next week. I’m so nervous

I turned 18 this Monday and suddenly this morning I woke up to flaring pain in my jaw that goes up my face through my nose and behind my eyes😵💫I feel them pushing like crazy for the first time and they need to go!!!

Did the exact same thing, got a good chest day in and had Wing Stop for dinner before getting them out. Now it’s day 2 for me and I look like I have the mumps 😂
Your not supposed to workout a week prior to any oral surgery, it helps prevent dry socket
Oh yeah girl them teeth either: 1 weren’t ready to come out cause they lowkey just look like buds or 2 they are pbony or full bony and THOSE SUCK TO GET! Mine was a horizontally impacted partial bony wisdom tooth and it was ass getting that one out, I’d say a full 25 min just for one lower to be extracted. KUDOS THO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN!

Getting all 4 removed tomorrow. Pretty nervous, and I’m not really sure what to expect. I’m also not getting the IV, has anybody else done the same? Just feel like a little relatability could help 😅
It's been almost 2 weeks since i had 4 wisdom out. Honestly the first 3 days was so terrible. As i couldnt eat much, i felt sick and faint. It was so bad and the pain kept on until a week i felt better but I had pain on the left side more than the right side (idk why). Right now i only feel alil pain on my left jaw and somewhere near my left ear (idk why) but still can't open my mouth properly.
I got the rest of my last remaining wisdom teeth removed today and I wasn't knocked out I was wide awake with numbcream injection shots in my gum or teeth wherever it needed to go, but I still felt pain a bit mostly pressure and there is slightly a bit of nerve pain also I had to have stitches up top of my gum afterwards due to how deep my wisdom teeth were, but wishfully I'll feel better ASAP
I need to take my 4 wisdom tooth out too. I'm so scared! Does it really hurt this much???
Hey! I’m on day 3 recovery right now and it definitely isn’t the most fun thing but it’s definitely doable! My biggest thing is ice and take the meds they give you when you need. I alternate between ibuprofen and Tylenol every three hours even through the night and it seems to have really helped. My biggest thing has been the lack of eating foods I really love that’s been the hardest:( it’s just going to take some getting use to to not spit the first day for sure and make sure to eat very slowly to avoid pain. Yesterday aka the day after surgery was kinda the worst as far as swollen and pain. But it was still very much doable
No, its just the swelling, discomfort, and caution you have to deal with the following days.

Why nobody is talking about numbness or losing sensibility! I’m starting to think the doctor who took out my two Winston teeth was not prepared enough! I don’t feel my lower lip at all, and it is been over 5 hours since then 😢
I have to get my wisdom teeth out and I’m extremely worried about this. Have you gained feeling in your lip?
@@jazmin0511 Update: Actually yes! Thanks God I recovered feeling in my lower lip and chin. I believed it was because The doctor had to use a lot of anestesia due to I was still feeling pain. I lasted around 10h, but it was a traumatic feeling or lack of feeling. That numbness was really cumbersome. Now I'm starving
@@jazmin0511its just anesthesia. nothing to be stressed about, i got all four out a few days ago and i literally ate a steak the night after surgery. if your lucky like me, it wont effect you too badly. just make sure to keep up on ur antibiotics and hygiene and ur chilling
Im 15 and got my wisdom teeth out today but i had to get a moler out with it too since the wisdom teeth affected it. The pain isnt bad its just numbness and that it only hurts on the side i got the moler out

I got my wisdom teeth removed today and the tooth beside it. It's really hard 😣 Can't chew. I mostly take oatmeal and yogurt. 😣 I can't wait to be finally healed. I want to eat foods that I want already 🥹
I got mine out a few days ago. I have consumed only protein shakes and ice cream. It’s hell. But they put me under general anesthesia so it was the blink of an eye.
Fun fact about me: I removed the growth of my wisdom teeth a 13 and sometimes my gums ache.
I abseloutely regret doing that cause the pain can sometmes can a little bit extreme.
But hey, at least I dont have to go through a painful surgery.
I got two out a week ago. Definitely rough the first few days but in the end it’s all okay
I got my lower right removed because of impaction. One of the worst, if not, the WORST experience of my life.
