I'd like to add on that Discord's worry about Fluttershy can be completely justified, since she's the most "fragile" of the ponies. Twilight, Celestia, Luna > he knows that they are all alicorns, and he's aware of how twilight has beaten stronger villains before. Bonus points if he remembers that Cadence has beaten Chrys before too. Rarity also has a fair amount of magical strength, and RD and AJ are physically strong. Pinkie Pie potentially possesses a fair bit of her own chaos magic, which allows the fourth wall breaking, and Discord is probably aware of how well Pinkie can take care of herself. Fluttershy is the weakest as far as strength/flying goes. Her only magical abilities are talking to animals and the stare. And Discord knows her better than he knows anyone else, knows her fears and her weaknesses. He's a good friend even if he won't admit it. Fluttershy doesn't do well in creepy/gross situations like a changeling hive. Fluttershy (if she was aware) would be hyperventilating over her animals, since she couldn't arrange for anyone to come feed them. She's prone to debilitating panic attacks and fears, and has very severe anxiety. Discord doesn't really know this about anyone else. Sure, he knows Twilight can get jealous and have trust issues, neither of which would matter in this situation (in fact, the trust issues would be a benefit here). He knows that Celestia has allowed herself to be overpowered by the villains before, but he probably also knows her reasoning (that we don't know). He might know Luna has issues with depression and guilt, but its just as likely that he's not aware of that either. The only one who he knows that well is Fluttershy, the only one he constantly calls a friend is Fluttershy. After all, I wouldn't consider Twilight a friend either if she didn't trust me even after declaring I was her friend, especially since she still seems disgusted that her friends would hang out with Discord for a weekend. She makes no efforts to be friendly towards him at all.
No offense, KP, but...none of that really explained why Discord didn't seem to care that Celestia had been taken (he YAWNED). My shipping feelings aside, an analyst has to look at evidence that does NOT support their hypothesis along with evidence that does support it. That "Suicide Squad" parody was funny!

I've abandoned Celestiacord, The writers constantly shoot it down by showing him giving ZERO fucks about Celestia and being motivated by nothing but Fluttershy. In this episode all he ever says is Fluttershy. I've switched sides, I now ship Fluttercord.
At the very least I feel like Fluttershy would definitely be Discord's first crush as he learns how to love and starts becoming interested in relationships and all that, no matter who he ended up with in the end. It'd only be natural for him to be curious if his friendship with her should be something more. At least that's my headcanon lol

I find watching Discord's body language to tell more than he does. he doesn't talk about how he's feeling, that's best seen in the facial expressions and body language. I'd recommend looking at his body language upon his summoning in Princess Twilight Sparkle, he was so shocked and taken aback at the whole situation that he actually backed away from Twilight. Actually, his shift from friendly to cold in those couple of minutes of being accused out of nowhere is absolutely fantastic, one of his best scenes. emotionally speaking anyway

In my opinion, Twilight was rightfully encased in that giant booger by Chrysalis for being a terrible host by forcing Trixie to sleep in her wagon instead of any one of the number of rooms within Twilight's castle, also, I was disappointed that Blue Horse drink wasn't actually a blue drink but appeared to be more Sprite-like in color.
I never thought of you as a Harley Quinn fan, I thought you'd be more of a Zatanna fan. Other than that I think Discord's feelings for Fluttershy fall more into the crush range than anything else. She was the first one to be kind to him and that stuck. His very nature is tied up in emotional immaturity. I've grown to like Starlight even if I still think they made her too powerful at the outset. I do like Starlight and Trixies friendship and it would be nice to see that develop more. I think the reason Celestia didn't do anything about the Changling castle was because she really couldn't. Magic wouldn't work there and the only other solution would have been to send an army, something I don't think she'd do.

Your theory about Discord would be plausible if and only if we had at least one sign of him actually giving a shit about Celestia in the past, so this whole love affair being one sided as in him having feelings for her, but she doesn't share mutual feelings, is a bit of a stretch. Also, you are aware that both her and Luna trapped him as a statue for over a 1000 years, which would've made anyone bitter. :/

He doesn't even keep up his "I'm only here for Fluttershy" thing throughout the episodes, given he states that once he has his magic back he'll be able to "tear the very fabric of reality to save our friends", plural "friends" rather than just Fluttershy.
I still think it's interesting that KP keeps on wanting us to stop shoving Fluttercord in her face, while she keeps on shoving Dislestia in our faces. When there is nothing in the series to really back up that ship, while there is a lot for Fluttercord.

Whenever I look at "To Where and Back Again" and it's main group of four characters just really gives me "Suicide Squad" vibes! I don't know why, but I really do think the choice of characters being apart as a team just works really well to replicate the "Suicide Squad"! Starlight, Trixie, Thorax, and Discord just gives out a nice kid friendly version of that particular squad!
KP, I can hardly wait until you review "A Matter of Principals"... most who review it said that they ruined Discord's character by making him seem boring but not as boring as the background characters (namely the students), but I think the very opposite is true. Like you had stated in your fan video "A Different Dispective", Discord has been slipping into the power-mad persona because he felt lonely and left out in the pony-society of Equestria (I blame Neighsay's ancestry and it's possible influence on the princesses education for that), and old habits die hard...I think that, overlooking the puns and jokes, his triple role as Job-interview-for-Principle, Delinquent Student, and Substitute-Substitute Teacher reveals that, since he knows very little about how schools really work-- aside from the stereotypical causes of chaos in such an environment-- he was just being, in his own mind, "RESPONSIBLE" but since his love of misadventure kept him from asking permission (like he's supposed to) it only got on Starlight's nerves leading to the grand reveal as to why the Elements of Harmony chose turning him to stone as a form of "giving him a time out" instead of banishing him somewhere else like they did with Princess Luna as Nightmare Moon: BANISHMENT SPELLS DON'T WORK ON HIM! (At least, not like they are supposed to.) Such spells could "ex-spell" him from school grounds or even a country for that matter, but sure as the essence of chaos could exist anywhere, so he is able to project his "ghost" anywhere to continue doing what he wants if he wants to. It was because of the group activity and his attempt to "play" with the other students in the only way he knows how that reveals both how left out he feels and how little he knows about education and the school system (he thought that being in charge is all about the perks when made honorary "Vice Head-Mare" when it is really about all that paperwork he seems to hate in the comics and actually keeping things under control... he wouldn't have got those business cards if he knew how dull the job really is but thankfully for him, he doesn't have to when the real teachers come back and scold him for tampering with the map and their cutie marks just to send them off). I'm not sure if you'd notice the same details I do when and if you watch and review that episode, but I feel it is worth pointing out just to help... plus, the way you talk about Discord is always cooler then the way everyone else does it, including me.
So what is it that puts Sunset a step above Starlight, again? I know she had one film where she was a teen diva and then got her terrible plan thwarted by some other teenagers, and then after that she was a teenage girl who felt bad about being a bitch. How is that so superior to a pony who held a town under dictatorial control, then had a second strike at trying to erase all of MLP history in revenge, and finally felt bad for trying to enslave entire towns and wipe out entire timelines, all while having several episodes devoted to her learning how to control her dictatorial inclinations and learn to open herself up to friendship again? I mean, sure, she's not in high school, but as "awesome" as that point is, I don't think it should mark down on Starlight that much. /s

KP, I can hardly wait until you review "A Matter of Principals"... most who review it said that they ruined Discord's character by making him seem boring but not as boring as the background characters (namely the students), but I think the very opposite is true. Like you had stated in your fan video "A Different Dispective", Discord has been slipping into the power-mad persona because he felt lonely and left out in the pony-society of Equestria (I blame Neighsay's ancestry and it's possible influence on the princesses education for that), and old habits die hard...I think that, overlooking the puns and jokes, his triple role as Job-interview-for-Principle, Delinquent Student, and Substitute-Substitute Teacher reveals that, since he knows very little about how schools really work-- aside from the stereotypical causes of chaos in such an environment-- he was just being, in his own mind, "RESPONSIBLE" but since his love of misadventure kept him from asking permission (like he's supposed to) it only got on Starlight's nerves leading to the grand reveal as to why the Elements of Harmony chose turning him to stone as a form of "giving him a time out" instead of banishing him somewhere else like they did with Princess Luna as Nightmare Moon: BANISHMENT SPELLS DON'T WORK ON HIM! (At least, not like they are supposed to.) Such spells could "ex-spell" him from school grounds or even a country for that matter, but sure as the essence of chaos could exist anywhere, so he is able to project his "ghost" anywhere to continue doing what he wants if he wants to. It was because of the group activity and his attempt to "play" with the other students in the only way he knows how that reveals both how left out he feels and how little he knows about education and the school system (he thought that being in charge is all about the perks when made honorary "Vice Head-Mare" when it is really about all that paperwork he seems to hate in the comics and actually keeping things under control... he wouldn't have got those business cards if he knew how dull the job really is but thankfully for him, he doesn't have to when the real teachers come back and scold him for tampering with the map and their cutie marks just to send them off). I'm not sure if you'd notice the same details I do when and if you watch and review that episode, but I feel it is worth pointing out just to help... plus, the way you talk about Discord is always cooler then the way everyone else does it, including me.
I like how this episode hinted the Fluttercord ship being canon.
So what is it that puts Sunset a step above Starlight, again? I know she had one film where she was a teen diva and then got her terrible plan thwarted by some other teenagers, and then after that she was a teenage girl who felt bad about being a bitch.
How is that so superior to a pony who held a town under dictatorial control, then had a second strike at trying to erase all of MLP history in revenge, and finally felt bad for trying to enslave entire towns and wipe out entire timelines, all while having several episodes devoted to her learning how to control her dictatorial inclinations and learn to open herself up to friendship again?
I mean, sure, she's not in high school, but as "awesome" as that point is, I don't think it should mark down on Starlight that much. /s
