Hi @OKestGamer, thank you for the nice video. Is there some kind of performance hit when connecting the glasses? Probably the picture is being calculated only ones and displayed onto both eyes looking exactly the same right? -> There is no 3D effect displayed, the Legion GO having to calculate two pictures right? -> Can you say something about the picture quality? How did you like it? Did you find it to be sharply and clearly displayed? Did the colors pop out good if having darker environments in the background? How is the sound quality? And can people around you still hear the sound quite clearly like with VR glasses? Do you know how much it costs roundabout currently? For me also a really important question; How are the glasses being recognized by Windows 11? Are they being recognized as a second screen? And is the handling exactly the same? 😮 What happens on the Legion Go Screen as you connect them? Which resolution does each eye get displayed in front of it? How is the felt distance to the displayed screen? I know those where many questions, sorry for that, but as a gaming nerd, tech freak and Lenovo Legion Go early adopter I'm really interested in those things, always having heard a lot about those glasses and never having had the chance to try them out myself. It was already one of the best videos I've seen around, as you tried to explain how it feels and looks like looking through them, but I'm still missing a lot of details 😉.
@@okestgamer Sounds great! Thank you a lot! Or if you are going/planning to do a full review, you could also just consider those for it, I would definetly be interested into watching one from you, because I have the feeling you have a good attention to detail 😃😉👌👍
-3D effect: I did not experiment with any 3d effects, but i do not believe the legion glasses have that feature. -Picture Quality: I found the picture to be vibrant and bright enough. the lenses are quite dark, so i didn't have any issues seeing it. Edges and corners are a little out of focus, but most of the screen is decent. I find it best for videos or playing games. doing work involving smaller text is not great with them. -Sound: speakers are on the quieter side, they work well enough, but i suggest pairing some bluetooth headphones if in a noisy environment. -Current cost: $329 USD -Windows detection: it is seen as a second display. -First plug in: at first plug in you'll have a mirrored display of your handheld screen. you can adjust in settings to only display on screen 2 for best results. -total image output is 1080p x2 (i believe). so you'll see a 1080p image. -how big does the screen look? this is very dependent on what you see in the background. when looking at a distant wall it can appear like a 100" screen, or it can look like a 17" if looking closely at a wall or desk. very dependent.
@@okestgamer thanks a lot for all of these answers! 😃 Hmm... So the screen size depends on how far the next background is right? How does that work? Does it have a depth sensor and does automatically simulate a projection onto the next background or how can I imagine that it depends on the background? 😮😮😮
@@ponsue1 so for the late response. They're...OK. The image quality is really good, rich colours and contrast but the size is a bit small. For general media consumption they are good, but anything else can be rough. Text is the main issue. I find myself constantly zooming in on websites, even youtube. Games that don't allow you to increase font size are probably going to be a no-go if not frustrating. I should mention that I an AR headset (Dreamglass 4K) that is only 720p but has a viewing area twice as large which feels more natural to use. The downside with that is dealing with the control unit and limited battery life. I much prefer the Legion Glasses, just a shame it's a bit small.
@@ponsue1 oh, also, if you plan to wear them while resting your head on a pillow or headrest, the rubber supports do go around the back of your head and you may feel some pressure there.
@@ponsue1 Sorry, it seems only my second comment went through. The TLDR of my other comment was that viewing area is indeed a bit small. It is good for media consumption but text may be hard to read. I Ended up using mine set to a lower resolution with enlarged text.
Pretty nice video. 👍 Dumb question incoming:are those compatible with others handhelds? Or they locked them to the Legion somehow? Or maybe there are other glasses that work better with other devices. Sorry not really knowledgeable about these kind of peripherals. Thanx.
I have tested the Nreal air gen 1 and the Viture one. I am planning to do a quick look at those as well, and possibly do a comparison of them after. I am in between the nreal air and the viture one for my preferred device. I like the comfort of the nreal, but some of the features of the viture one. still need to do a little more comparing.
So Lenovo won't sell me an equivalent of a joycon mount so that I can use the controllers that come with the device like a traditional gamepad when connected to an external display but they will sell me this...
The first pair of display enabled glasses that gets my money are the pair that come with my prescription built-in. Im sick of seeing these goofy little prescription insert attachments that come with all of these systems.. i dont care about resale, i care about form factor and wieght, so adding clip-on lenses makes no sense to me.
Honestly I had to stop halfway through, this is one of the most annoying 'UA-cam voice' inflections I've ever heard and I couldn't watch the whole video, hopefully next time you're recommended I can make it through 😅

Much more practical than Apple’s silly goggles. 😂

Hey bud like your work can you make a video on how to upgrade legion go to a 32 GB ram and beta flash step by step
Man I would love to, right now that is above my level of expertise. I wish I had that skill set currently
looks too narrow for my huge noggin
does it have the option to 'fix' the 'screen' in place?
They handles can bend outward as well, but I hear you. I've got a big head as well. There is no option to fix the screen in place
Pretty nice video. 👍

Oh yes, they can be used with any handheld or phone that supports video out over USB c.
Does it have 3DOF to where you can pin the screen in space?
It does not, not that I've seen built in anyways
I got a pair of these kinds of glasses probably used them twice
Yeah mine sometimes sit on the shelf until I remember I have them and should use them haha
How good/bad are they?
@ryanmurphy4125 more like not as useful as you would think mine are pretty good at doing what they do but haven't found a case to actually use them
That's what I think will happen to me. I don't like wiping my ass with money
Did they discontinue these a few months after release? I see none for sale anywhere.
I haven't personally checked. Are they not available on Lenovo's website?
@@okestgamerI have not seen them listed on the site. Always says “available soon”
Hmm I think in the USA they were available. Are you in the USA?
I heard that there is a lot of blurring on the corners of the screen. Is that true?
I did find that to be the case with the glasses. I went through it briefly during the simulated test, it looks similar to what I attempted to show
Seems silly. Legion Go 144hz and Legion Glasses 60hz. I would have purchased asap if we got 144hz on the glasses.
120 would have been a nice option as well.
Can a legion go even run games higher than 60fps without dogshit quality or being a 2D side scroller?
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182in many games yes, I can get about 80-100 fps on COD looking amazing, Fortnite for some reason can be as high as 140

From what I hear they are working on a controller grip. Jsaux is also releasing one
Just get a 3d printed one
can you resize the monitor window?
Unfortunately there is no setting for this.
Are you going to keep yours or sell them?
I have not decided. I think i am going to loan them to some fellow youtubers to test out if they are interested.
