Season 1 and Season 2 was breathtaking I cried at the end when Louis went to see Lestat my heart was pounding I will wait with anticipation for Season 3 🖤💜🖤
I have been a huge Anne Rice fan since my childhood, and was fortunate in my lifetime to meet Anne at one of her notorious Vampire Balls in New Orleans and the early 90s, and after Hurricane Katrina she was so sweet and came to hear me perform when she was living in Palm Springs. Though the AMC series under Anne and her son Christopher recommendations "updates" and makes the series accessible to 21st century audiences I think the changes are brilliant. First and foremost I'm madly in love with Sam Reid as Lestat = perfect casting. I so much prefer to the rather lackluster Interview with the Vampire movie with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt that simply avoided the passionate homoeroticism, and subtle nuances of the characters. Resetting Lestat-and Louis's first meeting in Storyville New Orleans early 1900s is fabulous and adds so much more dimension to the characters from the original novel where their first meeting is in 1791. Making Louis black works very well for me, and Jacob Anderson is brilliant. I love the attention to historical costumes, sets, dialect and characterization. Truly so entertaining. Resetting the Theatre des Vampyrs in WWII Paris added so much dimension with the German Expressionism, Cartoon satire and open freedom of LGBTQ prior to WWII. Having Daniel revisit for interview in Dubai currently also updates the story to modern audiences and new generations. And agree that Dubai feels right for modern setting. I can't wait for season 3 as Vampire Lestat is my favorite of the Chronicles, and now we will get less (mopey tortured Louis, and Armand drama) and focus on Lestat (Gentleman prefers blonde vampires LOL). So I'm looking forward to the "pre-story" of Lestat in France meeting his mother Gabrielle, more on the relationship of Lestat and violinist Louis. I know before Anne's passing she and Christopher set notes for direction the books will go and let's pray that all Chronicles will be done in time! I'm a musicologist and most fans are probably not aware of all the music-symbolism which is so brilliant. Like when Claudia and Louis duet with the homoerotic Debussy' "Pan God of the Summer Wind" or the tortured loved theme of Lestat/Louis being the 2nd movement of gay composer Rave'ls Piano Concerto in G. I think Lestat should dump Louis and marry me LOL. (and I speak fluent French.. am a concert pianist/and Baroque harpsichordist and actor and was in noted Goth band in the 80s. Rambling. Anyway so ready for Season 3. And will re-visit all seasons 1-2 over the New Years Week. Also for those people that actually still READ -- i also recommend Anne Rice's Cry to Heaven and Feast of All Saints (That mini series too is briliant)

Filming will start this fall. So, I believe it will probably air somewhere in Spring 2025. I'm glad to find out the same main actors will be returning. We can expect a love triangle to take place again between Lestat, Louis, and Armand.😉
Actually, no. Armand history line in another one and more much rich and interesting. Would be absolutely ridiculous if they don't use the og resources for that should I say, exquisite future drama.

Well, actually If we being exact,only half of the second book was adapted, so to speak. If we really think about it between the time in the books, the amount of books and the show and how it works we, at least should have 5-6 seasons, probably 5 cuz they will do a Talamasca show and we already have a Mayfair show. So 💁🏻♀️

Glad to hear the main cast minus Claudia ( so far) is returning.
