Thanks for your post. I have a 10 year old boy going into junior high, 13 year old girl going into 8th grade, and a 14 year old going into high school. They all play basketball but there isn’t Much in our small community to help them develop and I want to try and help them as much as I can to prepare them. Thanks for any advise that might help
That is a broad question. I do provide some interesting insights in 'The Coach Approach' podcast on my channel, that might help you or your kids fast track your progress. It is full of tips and advice. 20 episodes. Available on UA-cam and Spotify.
Some resources are available at ozswoosh.com, but the channel is a video resource covering many topics related to coaching youth basketball. I hope it has helped you. Thanks for the question.
That is based on the athlete's endurance, we shared this in a previous comment, however 2 sets of each if done together should suffice. Once through if used as a warm-up, add it 2 to 3 times minimum per week for pre-season workouts. I hope this helps. It's a great question that I will make sure is answered in our next agility series. Thanks.
I would suggest you do a mix of footwork drills and a balanced regime. These exercises can be done in sets, but always ensure you have good load management and rest & recovery days scheduled in to your training regime.
