So when I was trying to get priiloader on my homebrew channel I realized that you have to move the priiloader folder inside the apps folder. so yeah if anyone comes across the problem of priiloader not showing up on your homebrew channel check your sd card and make sure the priiloader folder is inside your apps folder.

when i try to load bootmii it just shows no display on my monitor

sanks man, but a doubt i have. how can i un-brick the wii in case it gets bricked? like, do i have to transfer the nand and the key files to where and how? mi wii isnt bricked yet, just asking in case it does and i know how to solve the thing.
In bootmii, theres an option to load nand that is saved from the sd card

I installed boot io as iOS and whenever I start wii it just goes to bootmii and not preloader
It boots to bootmii only if it's installed as boot2. It can be quite annyoing though. Best solution: either take out the sd card before booting or... rename the bootmii folder and it will go to the system menu with no bootmii menu at all and then just rename it back to bootmii when you need it again. Just in case...

i didnt install bootmii when i installed homebrew, can i still install it?
If you have an SD card at least 2GB-32GB, then you can go back to the HackMii installer menu and install BootMii either as an boot2 or IOS. You can do both if your Wii is made and sold before 2008.

I have few questions. Do you need the SD card plugged in at all times in the wii? Or should you plug it in when the wii gets bricked? Also another question i installed bootmii as boot2 and IOS. Does that mean i still need priiloader?
@@corexyz yes. If you are planning to install homebrew apps. It IS crucially important to install priiloader in case your wii gets bricked. Either way, you'll more than one way to launch bootmii and restore your nand in case of an emergency.

Hey. I saw that in the download for for the HackMii Installer, I saw in the README it mentioning a boot.elf file that could be used. What's this about again, like can I go into HackMii through the HBC to use the .elf or nah?
you need to have the boot.elf file. It is the data coded in order to launch the Hackmii Installer. Think of it as an .exe of an Windows app.
Hi! I'm installing BootMii on my 2012 Black Wii using HackMii installer v1.2, but i think I’m going to use Letterbomb. What happens is that when it's time to continue, I get this message: "boot2 injected with the BootMii loader did not pass the consistency checks (-1080000000)" Should I continue?

Download the HackMii Installer.
Extract the HackMii Installer zip folder.
Place all the extracted files on to the root of your SD card.
Insert the SD card back into the Wii.
Boot up the Wii and go to "Wii Message Board".
Check for today, tomorrow, or two days ago to find the envelope with a bomb icon.
Press it and wait.
Wait for the HackMii Installer to run tests on your Wii
Press Wiimote 1 Button when told to continue installing HBC and BootMii.
When you install BootMii for the first time with the HackMii Installer, do not use the power or reset buttons. The HackMii Installer only lets you install Bootmii. Power and reset are for BootMii, not HackMii Installer.

You say to try doing it with Letterbomb? I hacked my Wii with str2hax (the pony). Maybe I could use it again.
Another thing, everything I do I do with a USB, I don't use SD. But I have one in case I need it (like to create the backup).
And, what about the message above ( previous comment).
And lastly, are you saying it's worth backing up the NAND with BootMii on IOS if I'm just going to use USBLoader GX forever? Maybe it would be better to go with Priiloader only. I really don't know, sorry for asking so many questions c:

If you are not be able to use the str2hax method, then you can use the Letterbomb method. Also, it is VERY important to create a NAND backup in case you do something that will brick your Wii and become unusable. Boot2 allows better brick protwction and it boots to Bootmii menu everytime you start up the Wii. If you only able to install Bootmii as an IOS, Priiloader is an extremely important as well so that way you can quickly launch either the HBC or Bootmii without boooting to the Wii System Menu.

No. But it IS necessary in case something bad happens to your Wii.
Install as boot2, BootMii would launch every time when Wii turn on. If you want to avoid this, you can rename the bootmii folder in the SD card.

@@Youfav_226 anything you want. he is just saying you need to rename the folder. for example you could name it "_bootmii".

installed as boot2 and the "launch bootmii" doesn't appear in homebrew. how do i fix?
The option to launch BootMii will only appear to be launchable by the Homebrew channel if BootMii is installed as IOS. It's safe to install both but always install it has boot2 if given the option. The one installed as IOS won't protect you from bricks unlike boot2. So, if possible, go back to the HackMii installer, Install BootMii as IOS, even if you already installed BootMii as boot2.

I get an error called cios infected can somone please help
if i have already intsalled homebrew through letter bomb and want to go back and install bootmii as boot2. How do I access that installer menu after clicking on the letterbomb the first time all over again? Or do I have to wipe my Wii and reinstall everything through letter bomb?
nvm I got it currently backing up NAND also why come the wii guide tells me to download priiloader and also Load Priiloader and put them both on the root of my SD card?

What if you don’t have the prilloader app?
You can download the Priiloader app via Open Shop Channel website or throught the OSC homebrew app.
I can't install BootMii as a boot2, so will PriiLoader be enough on its own?
If you're Wii won't install bootmii as boot2, then select "install as an ios". Make sure you have an sd card formatted to fat32 beforehand.

Thank you so much bro! It was easy to understand and it worked for me! I have a question about backing up our system's NAND in BootMii. What if the console freezes or crashes while it's doing that? Will our Wii be bricked?
Bc the wii is an older console, it may freeze only the rarest if occasions (i.e. wii crashes during PM tournaments). Just reboot the Wii if it freezes or crashes. When backing up the NAND, do not press power or unplug the wii for it will cause to semi brick your wii. If you download something that will brick your wii, do not do it, unless you know exactly what you're doing. Having Priiloader installed is absolute must.

You need to make sure the sd card write lock is switched off and inserted correctly.

There is might be some some these issues:
Either ur sd card is faulty or you need at least 512 mb of free space on your sd card.
You need at least 2gb or up to 32gb. The wii gets picky about what brand ur sd card supports.
Ur sd card has the write protect lock switched.
@@chavito808 so basically I’m pretty sure this Ss card works because it was originally in a modded Wii U and I deleted everything in it and put it in my wii. It’s 32GB and the lock switch is off
why is the sd card max 32 ??
not sure but i think the steps are just different with larger than 32
