I cannot wait lol but I really want him to go in without absolutely no expectations so we can see him truly gagged/taken aback like he was during S1 of this show. But I guess it isn’t really much of a “spoiler” because incest really is inseparable from the whole of House Targaryen itself 💀
So happy you pointed out that everyone was all up on Dany for fairly executing people when the show LITERALLY started with the fairest person on the show LITERALLY executing someone in an arguably even less fair way than when she killed the Tarley boys.
I do think there’s a very significant difference between Ned (an accepted ruler/leader) killing the deserter, because the man had made an oath and had violated it (even though there were circumstances that might’ve mitigated his guilt in the situation). In the situation with Dany, she defeated an opposing army. She then asked the Tarlys to break their oaths to their queen to save their own lives - something that from their perspective would be very dishonorable. She didn’t offer any rationale for why they should support her instead of Cersei and she made no attempt at persuasion; she just demanded they kneel or die. She’s not their current ruler deciding fairly what their punishment should be - they never consented to her rule. The Tarlys - despite backing a side we don’t like - did actually do the right thing in the situation they were in. That’s where I think Tyrion’s advice would’ve been helpful, had Dany heeded it.
@@rachels.8051 Even if we ignore the fact that Cersei becomes queen when she shouldn't even be considered for the throne and therefore anyone following her isn't really loyal, she blew up one of the most holy buildings in the whole of Westeros, killing hundreds, but most importantly the Tyrells, who the Tarlys are sworn to. Them ignoring Cersei's wrongdoings because she was willing to name them Wardens of the South shows that they aren't really all that reliable as vassals.
@@rachels.8051 I mean with that in mind any other ruler probably wouldn't have even given them the option and executed them no question as they have clearly declared for the opposing side and know either it's win or die. Seems nice she even gave them the option to coward out. I agree they had no good option but she didn't put them in that position herself. Like I get, we get it, but the people around her should not be looking at her so side ways. Especially people who actually know her personally. It just gives that they don't trust her (which they dont) and so now her most inner circle doesn't trust her. But they haven't given us a reason for them to not trust her other than she is a targaryean and might go crazy one day. Bad/rushed storytelling.
They helped over throw the people they should be loyal to. Same as the Bolton did to the starks. They deserved to die. Lady Olena deserved to be avenged
Many UA-camrs pointed out that Tyrion gets stupid in the later seasons. The same man who pulled off shipping Myrcella off to Dorne, imprisoning Pycelle, successfully commanding a siege, getting the Vale clans on his side and killing his father is now suddenly like “Killing people bad 😢, let me talk to my sister for the millionth time, maybe she’ll change her mind”
@@ritikamudabidri7680No that was Maester Aemon but he talked about his brother (Aegon V) sometimes, so that’s probably where the confusion comes from lol
And frankly it doesn’t even matter the letter Sansa wrote to Robb (which she did because her father’s life was at stake, not merely because of Joffrey), because both the Master and Katlyn immediately recognized it was “Sansa’s hand, but the queen’s words”.
I always love Arya’s monologue about her practicing archery and Ned seeing her. This whole episode really highlights how similarly fierce but very different Arya and Sansa are. Arya knew the world was cruel early and chose how she hardened herself to protect herself and her family. Sansa was more naive and was forced to become hardened to protect herself by the people around her
Arya was never thinking about killing Sansa. Quite the opposite by giving Sansa the dagger and turning her back on Sansa to leave the room, it showed she’s still loyal to the north. She knew Sansa could’ve easily killed her being so close and armed but wanted to prove she had no intention of taking her place as the lady of Winterfell.
@brizzleyoh They knew what Little finger was up to. They played him as he thought he was playing them. Do you really think Arya, a trained faceless man would be that loud stomping through the castle looking under that mattress to find that note Sansa wrote. They knew Little finger was playing them. They knew he was listening to their convos and fights. They wanted him to think he had played them all to get him to the point that no one would support him in the end I believe that the 3 of them, Bran included. Set him up for the fall.
@@Scorpio-hm7es You have to REALLY read hard into the nonexistent script to get all that. The writers were just trying to amp up the shock value. All they wanted to do was trick the audience into thinking Sansa and Arya would possibly kill each other so that everyone is "shocked" when it all turns on littlefinger. Everything you said is just trying to backfill the weak writing and plot holes. There is almost no thought that went into the Winterfell plotline. Theres no point in trying to understand what Arya and Sansa's motivations are, they don't have any...
Aegon Targaryen was the name of Master Amons brother in the story he told Jon snow at the wall. He was saying “egg” in his dying hours in reference to his brother Aegon. It’s a name used WAY too many times in the Targaryen dynasty.
People were real quick to judge Daenerys for executing the Tully’s when in reality I’m sure they wouldn’t have any hesitation in beheading her if they had the chance.
I get your point, and I don't feel as strongly as some on this point, but one thing does not makes the other okay (in my personal opinion, of course). Also, they are not in equal or even that similar positions in relation to each other, not even if the tarlys and lannisters had just won a battle against Daenerys. Edit: clarifying here that I said "make it okay" cause it might justify it, which is different I believe
Whether to kill or spare your enemies is addressed many times in westeros history, and sometimes sparing them worked, and sometimes it didn't. Cregan stark executed like 20 people for the same reason Dany executed the tullys. But he's a stark so he gets a pass while dany is condemned I guess. Westeros is not our modern world. Perspective must be adjusted accordingly.
@@blanketwodahs6741 does he get a pass? Is this from the books or is this lore and not in the books? Cause he definitely would not get a pass from me, at least not like this without context (even though I do understand the reasoning and I'm not saying it's wild at all)
@@tywinderbaum5283 The situation is written about in World of Ice and Fire and Fire and Blood. It is more detailed in Fire and Blood. It is a different situation than Dany and the captured army, however the overall sentiment is the same. "Once a turncloak, ever a turncloak." - Cregan Stark. In an environment where your political enemies can and might raise arms against you and kill you horribly, with expectations of this set by historical precedents, one may have little choice. You either risk further retaliation from enemies who are not moved by your magnanimity, or you execute them to be certain. That being said, I don't 100% agree with Dany with regard to the Tarlys, but leaders have to make tough choices and they aren't always the "most correct". Especially in a world as vicious and gray as Westeros. So I am not going to cancel Dany just because of a few overly aggressive moves. and I absolutely do not accept it as evidence for her later out of character actions.
@@blanketwodahs6741 Thanks for the response! That's really interesting. I mostly agree on the dany front, totally agree in the world/setting front. Honestly, I think this is a story that focuses so much on themes of morality and the greys of it, and getting you to empathise and even love characters who've done terrible things (whether you find out about the terrible things before or after starting to care about and like them). So trying to paint a very black or white picture of a character doesn't really make sense to me? I disagree with people interpreting the finale as "Dany was purely evil all along" or "the villain" or however you want to put it (and I dislike the (possibly) attempt to portray it that way, I think it misses the point on several levels). I also disagree with people still claiming Dany as a hero, or saying her actions are justifiable and okay "considering", etc. The point I disagree with your comment on though, is that I do see signs that point to this finale for her, all the way back in season 1. I'm not sure I consider the decision to kill the Tullys one of them, tbh. The how of it, maybe, but not the decision itself I think. The finale and specifically the abrupt/instantaneous character development was pretty much catastrophic, of course. Her character arc was so horribly executed it's kind of bizarre. But I do see her going this way as one very real, plausible course of events (written very fucking differently and at the same pace it started as, maaybe accelerating a little towards the end cause momentum, but come the fuck on, what even was that?) Anyway, I've personally disliked Dany as a person in some very huge aspects since around the second half of season one, I think (although a lot of them might be attributable to some possibly racist aspects on the storywriting level, that might or might not be intended as worldbuilding/character building or just the author's bias). But I do see other aspects of her character that I'd enjoy if the first ones didn't bother me so damn much lol. And I understand why people support the hell out of her, and get the hype. I think as a character she's amazing. One thing that if it was well executed could have been stunning about her character is how she could break the hero-villain typical structure and archetypes. Cause they are archetypes, and I think characters should not be pure archetypes? But then again, could be fun if done well, so what do I know. Still, characters in this story can't really be painted as heroes or villains and it's such a huge part of what I love about it. But yeah, sorry, I think I started rambling.
Honestly very few things on this show were as satisfying to me as the three remaining Stark children being ICE COLD when going after Littlefinger. The disdain and disgust on Sansa's face. The smug little smile from Arya. The blank, cold reciting of he had no business knowing from Bran. They all dressed up to the nines for the occasion. Serving c*nt and serving justice for their murdered and betrayed family.
In episode 6 and on, this is where the show missed the “magic” part of the story, the wall is magically infused and built with the help of giants and the children of the forest to keep other magical creatures out, in the books there is no attempt of the whites to cross the wall (at least not yet),the wall is a very powerful magical thing that in the books it’s said that even Melisandre (in her pov) “her magic feels the strongest at the wall”. Another example of the power that it holds, a dragon and its rider queen tried to cross the wall but the dragon refused 3 times, it’s not clear why it can be because the strong power that the wall holds OR maybe the dragon senses some danger out there. Now this is where the show messed things up, Daenerys’ dragons are creatures made of magic and she herself is a magical character, her role does not only stop at the iron throne, her role is bigger than that, it’s magic meeting magic, the rebirth of the dragons is not by accident and this is what makes her story interesting but in the show they made the character political and tyrant.
Ugh thank you so much for this! You put into words why I was so disappointed with Danys character arc. It seemed like the whole entire show was leading her to being something bigger and better. All of the backstory and history seemed so important just for none of it to mean anything and for them to just make her a crazy villain. It’ll forever be the most disappointing tv arc to me because of how amazing it could’ve turned out, bringing all of the history and clues to fruition.
That last detail was shocking for me when they said it in House of the Dragon and it just reminded me of this particular episode. Like wth??? Dragons refused to cross the wall for some mysterious but magical reason that is intriguing just to mean nothing in the last seasons 😢
Dumb & Dumber did say they stopped using magic because it was too expensive and they "forgot" it was a thing in this world. Honestly, if your own cast is shading the script, there must be something very wrong thee...
While you are correct from book lore, I don't believe it was ever stated in the show lore that it kept all magical beings away, simply undead. I still hate the entire episode because there's so many idiotic things outside that. Night King throwing a spear at the moving dragon in the air, instead of the one stationary on the ground with all the other living creatures on its back. The fact they had Gendry, a guy who had never experienced snow, run back to the wall(somehow managing to find one of the castles so he could be let in(that being a different one than they left from). Then sent a raven to Dragonstone(all the way down near King's Landing in terms of distance), Daernerys returning the same distance on dragon, managing to find the exact location of Jon and co. all before the group either starved to death or the undead making a move(or you know, throw a spear). That episode is a prime example of wanting a result and working backwards without any thought to the impact of the actions taken. In regards to Dany, I don't mind the way she turned out in the end, the 'fall' just needed more of a build up, trying to fit the Others and the war of the queens + the fallout of both into one season of 6 episodes was crazy.
37:48 "Everything that happens from here on out, in this episode is in fact Jons fault." Been saying this for YEARS. He was doing to much, if he had just gotten on Drogon with everyone else, they would've left and Viserion wouldn't have died.
Your face whenever Littlefinger is running his mouth 😂😂😂 thank goodness the girls are smart enough to make him feel safe, like his scheming is working, THEN BAM 🗡
I 100% agree with you about agreeing with Dany. I think the writers just stopped understanding her at that scene in episode 5 and it doesn’t make any sense as to why Tyrion and Jon would be so against her executing people when Jon has executed people before himself. Instead of chopping heads off she uses her dragon, both are quick ways to die but it’s like Jon and Tyrion think of it as being different when she uses her dragon when it’s literally the EXACT SAME as executing people the way Jon has.
@@a.j.1819 well he killed many people during the Battle of the Bastards when they were at war. Dany is at war with Cersei so she’s doing the same but they’re treating her different because she’s doing it with a dragon.
okay just saying Euron was like "can they swim?" and Jons like "no" well then how the hell did they get chains around Viserion to pull him out of the water and turn him

i absolutely HATE how they tried to make it look like dany was wrong for burning the tarlys like ????? what??? they were at war, they had killed an entire army of her allies moments ago and she won the battle but STILL gave them an option and they choose to die then you want me to really believe that she was wrong for killing them? sorry but this is ridiculous (she should have burned them all actually u.u)
GRRM said that Dany showing her Maddening started before this with signs here and there and that the ending we got is the ending he planned. After how much the vocals got he decided he's rewriting it
@@MetalPharoah I mean you can clearly see signs of her maddness from like season 3-4 (that being, the philosophy of "My way or burn"), and when you rewatch knowing how her arc develops its even more noticeable. I do think GRRM meant her arc to be like this, but it was just poorly and badly developed in the show..
I HATE how they ruined Euron Greyjoy... He isn't this silly mindless cartoon villain they made him out to be in the show In the books he's this voldemort like dark wizard pirate lord with the horn of the winter he's this dark looming figure who just exudes power without having to shout about it he's travelled all across the known world learning dark magic from the shadowlands and asshai
They turned him into a violent, poorly writing, boringly cartoonish caricature of like some lazy ass idea of a foul mouthed pirate scumbag. I really understand why adapting Euron’s story into show would’ve been really difficult especially with the neutered length of these final seasons but they really fucked it up imo. idk why they thought to merge victarion and euron into just one person. I really wanted to see THAT dragonhorn scene in this show 😫
"Everything that happens after this point... is Jon's fault" Yes. I do not understand why in all the narrative ways they could have forced this chain of events, they thought to stall the getaway... like THAT? It would have made better sense if Viserion got nailed FIRST, then him pouring hot dragon blood all over the lake and crashing into the melting ice knocked Jon over and under the ice. That whole episode is a mess looking back at it though lol. but yeah, that whole lemme go get a few more kills in even though the dragon is basically loaded and ready for takeoff is just really so cumbersome to accept as a rational decision from an intelligent character lol
The thing about Dany not being able to have kids is only in the books. She only asks when Drogo will be as he was and she says when the sun rises in the west etc. But in the book she includes her saying when you birth a living child or something like that. The whole "I can't have children this witch told me" has always bothered me. Such a minor nitpick lol I wish Littlefinger had a better death, but that moment Sansa says how do you answer these charges.... *Lord Baelish* gives me chills!
and why even keep bringing that point up in this season, like "oh sure, you probably CAN have kids" and then they don't reference it at all in the final season. It's just bad writing
I gotta say Brad, you’re a pretty smart cookie. Not that I ever doubted it, but some info definitely got lost on me when I watched GoT the first time 😂 all these names and I was already tripping and you’re over here making connections like it’s nothing
When Sansa said "You stand accused of murder, you stand accused of treason. How do you answer to these charges... Lord Baelish" I was like "Gworl 10 out of 10 you ate that 😙🤌"
Tyrion and Jon are cautioning her not to be just like all the other rulers who slaughtered their way to victory, because she's said in the past she wants to break the wheel. Part of breaking that wheel is not subjugating people by force/death. I'm not saying she's in the wrong, just offering an explanation as to why they are slightly disappointed or seem to be trying to steer her in a more peaceful direction. Because you're right, ///sometimes/// killing is the right thing to do but ... sometimes it's not.
@@deathwitheponine I always thought their interpretation of break the wheel was to do what's best for the people/lower class. So maybe they need to communicate better lol but I think what makes this hard to understand on first watch is that literally a few episodes ago we were lighting up the masters/army in meereen no problem because they were not taking her seriously. Tyrion didn't seem to have a problem then so what's changed? That these people are lords? That she's ending a noble family bloodline? Boo hoo we're here for the poor and enslaved. I also think it's important to keep in mind to comment on where we are and not on what we know will happen. Right now tyrion is making no sense. Jon maybe but tyrion? Get past your mad king ptsd and get behind your queen
But that's not actually what they are doing. What they're doing is saying hey if you start a long war and don't attack kings landing, less people will die. All the while the plan includes laying seige on kings landing, which means they plan the starve everyone in the city until cersei dies or gives up, so presumably until most people there are dead. Meanwhile Daenerys could just fly to kings landing, burn the red keep and become queen with minimal casualties. There's no reason why this wouldn't work. Jon and Tyrion aren't saying this because it makes sense or is in any way true, but to speak to the audience and say "she has a bad father, therefore she might be just like him". There's no logical explanation for any of Tyrion's or Jon's council besides this imo
@@rahrahahahahr thats really where it all falls apart. Like girl get on your dragon and just burn down the part of the city with cersei in it. Yeah some casualties in the castle will die but come on! You'd end the war instantly
@@KittyKatTube what changed is that they were in Mereen and now they’re in Westeros. If she keeps burning people her reputation is going to make her someone the Westerosi people fear. She has said she does not want that previously. I’m just saying. Did the Tarleys do stupid shit and choose their own ending? Yeah. They did. Tyrion is trying to argue for mercy for the people of Westeros to keep her from being known as another dragonrider who just burns people willy nilly. This was my understanding when I first watched it. I understand other interpretations but to me this is what made the most sense.

So glad you understand the Tarlys & how this world works. Randall claimed to have know lady Olenna as a child. He betrayed his leige lord Mace Tyrell & sided with his killer who also killed his children. They lucky Daenerys even gave them a choice. Targaryens have married brother & sister for generations so even though they don’t know it wouldnt be an issue for Daenerys as her brother taught her about their family history. In the books she thought she’d marry Viserys until he gave her to Drogo. Behind the scenes the actor who plays Bran said they shot a scene where she came to him because she was gonna kill Arya & she wanted to make sure & that’s when Bran told her the truth.
These last episodes will be tough to get through. The story goes out the window in favor of spectacle, but House of The Dragon awaits you and it combines all the things we loved about the earlier seasons with the magic of the books and the budget of the final seasons! You can tell everyone involved with it has this passion for it and it pretty much healed a lot of people who were devastated with the outcome of this show. We can’t wait!!
tbh HOTD still has its issues here and there but i’m glad that it’s mostly good. issues such as Rhaenys k wording a bunch of commoners in season 1 episode 9 but then not k wording her „enemies“. or even season 2 episode 1 aka the missing of the whole kings guard in the red keep like not a single guard in sight for Blood & Cheese which was quite lazy of the writers cuz they could’ve definitely figured out a way for it to make more sense but oh well as i said those issues don’t consistently arise like with the later seasons of GOT where characters just totally act out of character and stories don’t make sense at all
@@nevaehaho61 right exactly. the Hotd writers have a solid story to follow right until the end but everytime they change something, it’s often a change for the worse and the story becomes inconsistent. but those complaints are rather nitpicky tbh
what are you saying. Sure the last seasons of GOT are bad but HOTD can only be compare to those seasons. They're not even close to the quality of GOT s1-s4.
@@jessi17miel personally i would say they’re not as great as GOT at its best but still very good. no reason to always compare tbh because it is a very different story and storytelling. HOTD is doing just fine and doesn’t have to be idk as excellent as season 4 of GOT
Gah the teleportation! I remember now how mad it made me! 😅 Remember when it took several episodes of Season 1 to travel from King’s Landing to Winterfell? I do. 😡 (Edit: the other way round, but still!)
I just remind myself that they needed to show them traveling so we would get world building via their conversations. We know the world by these seasons and don't need long conversations about it, so they skip the travel scenes. 🤷♀️
@@mamaseesa3122Very true, but still: running from beyond the wall, to Eastwatch, then a raven getting from Eastwatch to Dragonstone and Daenerys getting from Dragonstone to beyond the wall, all in what is implied to be one single night? @HerHollyness and that's where I just relax and enjoy the ride. It's a fictional story in a fantasy world. I don't care enough about these things for it to sour the whole rest of the show. The only thing I would use it for is making sure the books I write don't have this problem. Or I figure out a way to explain why it happened.
@@HerHollynessDragonstone is right next to King’s Landing but still far enough to be several hours on dragonback. @@mamaseesa3122it being a fantasy world doesn’t mean that there aren’t clear sets of rules. we previously witnessed just how huge Westeros is. it takes entire episodes and sometimes even seasons to get from one point to another. them just teleporting all over the place in order for a story to happen makes no sense because it’s definitely not even nitpicking at this point, the entire story is based on something absolutely impossible which ruins the fantasy actually. like the very basis of the story makes no sense which throws u out of the story like CRAZY
I love how locked in you’ve become with this show. You’re completely dialed in and not missing a detail. Not everybody is like that until a 2nd watch. Loving it!
I disagree on it being John's fault. In my books it's all Tyrion's fault. He suggested to catch a white walker to convince his siblings to work with them, to spare them. If Dany simply would have conquered King's Landing with her 3 Dragons before, right there before they could buy reinforcements, she'd have control over the 7 kingdoms and their armies to fight the white walkers under her rule. Everything that happens from here on in ALL the episodes to come is Tyrion's fault because he didn't give her advice in her favor but his family's. Admitted, if Dany would have never travelled over the wall, they'd not lost the dragon to the whities and they'd not been able to destroy the wall and she'd lost her 'rival' John to the throne. But still. His idea.
season 7 episode 6 kinda perfectly encapsulates what’s wrong with this season. Game of Thrones is known for its very good and consistent writing. every action had consequences and every inconvenience is usually taken note off and integrated into the story. in season 7 tho, everything is just perfectly convenient and the story has loads of plot holes just because the writers try to make a certain story happen. for example the fact that they’re trapped surrounded by the frozen lake and then send a raven to Danaerys. for a raven to travel from north of the wall, all the way over to DRAGONSTONE, it takes days and days. that’s basically almost traveling over the whole continent. which means the s**cide squad (what people called them back then) must’ve waited for the raven to fly all the way to dragonstone and for dany then to fly her dragons all the way to north of the wall (which is MASSIVE btw) and just find where exactly the gang is. the writers said that they kept the timing vague (on purpose probably because they realized that it doesn’t make any sense) but either way it’s impossible because it would’ve taken dayssss for just the raven to get to dragonstone. and these plotholes, inconsistencies etc. are just what makes this season worse than previous seasons. aryas and sansa’s fight also felt so put on because arya had very valid reasons to be mad at sansa but then somehow just forgot all about that as soon as they figured out that little finger wants them to fight. like that doesn’t remove any of the stuff arya was actually mad at ??? not trying to ruin your fun but just so that you understand why many people just don’t like this season. or also a very excellent question: where on EARTH did the night king just get massive chains from. MASSIVE chains that no one would ever need or make unless they wanted to get a dragon out of a frozen lake. everything is just so perfectly convenient
Wasn't it also established in an earlier season that whitewalkers can't swim (or am I remembering it wrong?), so how did they haul a whole ass dragon from the bottom of the lake???? I truly hate seasons 7&8
@@gothic_llama in the very next episode Euron asks if they can swim and Jon says no 😭 it’s crazy to me that this entire episode 6 is just filled with plot holes from start to finish. weird character choices, time traveling and teleporting, plot armor, plot holes. like they really didn’t gaf which is sad to me cuz i feel like until like episode 4 of this episode everything was quite plausible or at least i didn’t notice much nonsense (>>Jaime being thrown into the lake and the lake suddenly being mariana trench deep even tho he was like 2 meters next to the beach and Bronn single handedly diving and pulling Jaime out of the sea with his incredibly heavy armor and then swimming or rather diving all the way to the other end of the beach while Dany and the rest don’t even notice him
This Episode drives me crazy, I genuinely think its the worst Episode in the show and it only exists to weaken Dany and give them a reason to meet with Cersei. They sent someone south with a wight hand in S1 or S2 and it rotted on the way, but this one miraculously got there in tact. It just winds me up. They're at war, she gave them a choice, they continued to disrespect her and refused...?? No one else would be expected to spare them. What are the dragons for if she's not gonna use them?? Tyrion is such a hypocrite, the only reason he thought he could defeat his sister is bc of those dragons but now using them is bad??? Make it make sense. The writing & characterisation in the last 2 seasons was ridiculous, next season is actually laughable.
My blood boils every time I see that scene, because there's *no way* anyone would annul Rhaegar's marriage with children and wife from a noble house, and that shows such a lack of understanding of the world it's actually insane to think that D&D made the earlier seasons as well.
Brad! The actor that played Dickon 😂 is Tom Hopper. He's also in Tbe Umbrella Academy which is another show you should watch! It's done by Gerard Way of MCR and it's chaotic joy ✌🏻
@@ravens_taleoh oops! I don't have a Discord so I guess I didn't catch when he's said that?? It was really just a "fun fact" about the actor and my opinion that I think he'd enjoy the show. Not necessarily a request for the channel. But thanks for letting me know! ✌🏻
Girrrrl I can't believe I just discovered you a few days ago and I've already been through your entire game of thrones playlist and caught up LAST night just in time to be on the same page with you for the end. Thank you for sticking it out and being someone to laugh and cry with while watching this all again. It was good for me to have to wait for this episode, it is the last hurrah of the game of thrones masterfully making us wait for the cliffhanger to be over. You have my sword, Ser Brad Evans, Lord of the Gooped, Breaker of Boredom, King of the Gagged, Champion of Reunions, Father of Hi
9:47 Yes! This annoyed me, Dany is finally ruling and such but they try so hard to make it look like she's doing it wrong?! Like what?! she playing the game like everyone else has before her
Ironic, that of all Tyrion’s dumb moves these two last seasons (the writers really did him dirty), in this episode we have probably the worst one (go over the wall to bring back a whitey) - which is unfortunately listened to ; and his best one (Dany do not take the dragons over the wall) - which is unfortunately ignored. Getting a whitey was meaningless (Cersei doesn’t care, and Dany could probably have been convinced to go see the dead army safely and would still have agreed to help the north bc she cares for Jon) and the wall wouldn’t have come down without a dead dragon. Lost Viserion and allowed the walkers across for absolutely no damn reason smdh
Jorahs father loved him, in the books he tells sam when he is dying to tell jorah he forgives and he should come home and join the nights watch to repent for his crime
I do not say this lightly; you are genuinely my favourite reactor all round on UA-cam. Your vibe, your takes on things, your editing, literally everything is absolute slayage. You are everything 🫶🏼
YES! Call out the double standard! Dany is by all Westerosi custom, a "rightful claimant" to the throne as daughter of the previois king. Cersei literally has 0 claims and anyone following her is a traitor. She also blew up one of the holiest places and killed the Tyrells, the Tarly's liege lord. It makes no sense for them to follow Cersei, except she promised to make their family Warden of the South. better off as ashes those two! byebye
Fighting for our lives with the last season but at least the actors, CGI people and Ramin Djawadi (soundtrack guy) are putting their best work forward. Major kudos 🫡
i love jon and theon. theon has such a good story line and how far he's come. i can't wait for the episodes i'm looking foward for you to react to. nah sansa did piss me off tho in this episode. sansa doesn't know what jon went through, and what he had to do. okay she wants to be queen, but not that way. thiing is danny always listened to everyone else every time, now it's her time to take control. she's had enough. difference is jon and danny didn't know they were related, jaime and her did.
YES it’s so annoying how everyone else can make harsh decisions in war but they make Dany seem uncompromising when she does it, ugh you don’t even understand, THIS is why I hate the later seasons.
im honestly gonna be so sad when this ends, but i’ll continue binging these reactions over and over again forever. you’re hilarious brad, the editing, the takes, ugh it’s 🤌🏼💋
She gave these people THREE CHOICES despite her not having to give the many choices at all but death them attacking her FIRST (they attacked her allies the Tyrells who they were sworn to be loyal to btw) and then Dany came back for REVENGE and even then she went after THE LOOT TRAIN over senselessly burning the men (well, a couple died but still) to make a point that she wants to destroy the shittay system of Cersei's tyranny. THREE CHOICES - live and join her (choose to actively help build a better, kinder world), or follow a tyrant like Cersei (stick to the shitty oppressive system) and die, or go to the wall (remain neutral, but fight for the living at least). And they refused both options to live like rofl. And yet they call Dany the "tyrant crazy one" not Cersei...lol. Jon has killed those who betrayed him painfully also (let even a manipulated boy hang, and other men, which is a gruesome painful death as well, he's beheaded men, others have too...). There are always double standards when Dany is involved. LOVE THAT YOU ARE ON HER SIDE, and GET IT!! ♥♥
I’m finally caught up with drops 🎉 I used these as a rewatch of GOT before S2 of HOTD until I realized it was not finished! But I’m invested, and cannot wait for HOTD reactions 🖤🖤
Pienso igual, Aegon the Conqueror did the same thing with his prisoners, letting them choose, but no one accused him of being crazy like my Queen Daenerys Targaryen,In the next season you will start to see the characters speaking through the mouth of D&D
Bran thinking his name would be Sand makes no sense since it was well known Jon was born in Dorne anyway, but still had the name Snow because he was raised in the north
One detail that I probably took a few viewings to notice in episode 6 Arya/Sansa confrontation was that Arya gives Sansa the dagger at the end of it. So even though her words are threatening her actions tell Sansa that she trusts her.
If he’s surprised by Jon and Dany’s incest, I’m curious to see what he’s gonna think of House of the dragon xD

I cannot wait lol but I really want him to go in without absolutely no expectations so we can see him truly gagged/taken aback like he was during S1 of this show. But I guess it isn’t really much of a “spoiler” because incest really is inseparable from the whole of House Targaryen itself 💀
you cannot wait but you just spoiled him lmao
So happy you pointed out that everyone was all up on Dany for fairly executing people when the show LITERALLY started with the fairest person on the show LITERALLY executing someone in an arguably even less fair way than when she killed the Tarley boys.
Daenerys is an invader. Ned Stark was a legit local authority.
And cock jokes 🤡
He stopped drinking. He was prob suffering the DTs the whole season lol
“Aegon Targaryen?? Why do I feel I’ve heard this before?” Oh babes can’t wait to see you watch HOTD

Isn’t there an Aegon in GoT too? The old man at the wall? Or was that Aemond?
@@ritikamudabidri7680No that was Maester Aemon but he talked about his brother (Aegon V) sometimes, so that’s probably where the confusion comes from lol

hes gonna LOVE it! i cant wait!!
I wonder what he’ll make of the time skips
@averagejoereads7271 at least it's not as bad in season 2, not yet at least
And frankly it doesn’t even matter the letter Sansa wrote to Robb (which she did because her father’s life was at stake, not merely because of Joffrey), because both the Master and Katlyn immediately recognized it was “Sansa’s hand, but the queen’s words”.
I love how you insert older scenes for context. It’s so satisfying!
"Teeth, man. What's their problem? Just be okay" SO REAL lmao
I felt this! Damn you wisdom teeth! I don't feel wiser, just pain!!! 😂😂😂
I'm sure they had already planned this. Bran knew all along.
She was playing the game of faces right? Too bad they (the writers/show runners) made it so painfully annoying 😅
They wanted him to think he had played them all to get him to the point that no one would support him in the end
I believe that the 3 of them, Bran included.
HEAVY on the “way too many times” part
Him talking to his brother like he's a little boy again made me tear up a little tbh. He was such a good man.
I just want to say that Im in love with your sense of humor 🥹❤️
I love how lies killed Ned in the South, but the truth killed Littlefinger in the North.
But I do see her going this way as one very real, plausible course of events (written very fucking differently and at the same pace it started as, maaybe accelerating a little towards the end cause momentum, but come the fuck on, what even was that?)
Anyway, I've personally disliked Dany as a person in some very huge aspects since around the second half of season one, I think (although a lot of them might be attributable to some possibly racist aspects on the storywriting level, that might or might not be intended as worldbuilding/character building or just the author's bias).
Me, a Jon hater rooting for him to die at every turn 😪
Oh my God one of THE most satisfying deaths in the show
@@meggzilla009 One of the worst actually since it makes no sense and littlefinger acts completely out of character
Jon never executed innocents who just didn’t rock with him. He executed men of the nights watch who were under oath.
@@a.j.1819 well he killed many people during the Battle of the Bastards when they were at war. Dany is at war with Cersei so she’s doing the same but they’re treating her different because she’s doing it with a dragon.

i absolutely HATE how they tried to make it look like dany was wrong for burning the tarlys like ????? what???
they were at war, they had killed an entire army of her allies moments ago and she won the battle but STILL gave them an option and they choose to die
then you want me to really believe that she was wrong for killing them? sorry but this is ridiculous (she should have burned them all actually u.u)
Aegon during the conquest does the exact same to houses that don't bend the knee when he first lands so can't be mad at only her
GRRM said that Dany showing her Maddening started before this with signs here and there and that the ending we got is the ending he planned. After how much the vocals got he decided he's rewriting it
She was wrong tho, that's why women can't rule, the only Targaryen alive and carried out genocide just to make her house's legacy clear lmfao.
He isn't this silly mindless cartoon villain they made him out to be in the show
In the books he's this voldemort like dark wizard pirate lord with the horn of the winter he's this dark looming figure who just exudes power without having to shout about it he's travelled all across the known world learning dark magic from the shadowlands and asshai
Sounds so dope wish they would have leaned into that!!
I really wanted to see THAT dragonhorn scene in this show 😫
Didn't know that and now I feel seriously robbed! (I mean, even more than I did previously😂)

Yes.
Such a minor nitpick lol
I wish Littlefinger had a better death, but that moment Sansa says how do you answer these charges....
Just wanna say that I love your reactions and your unwavering support of Dany.
Also, burning people goes right back to her father, triggering some major Westerosi PTSD.

We can’t wait!!
tbh HOTD still has its issues here and there but i’m glad that it’s mostly good. issues such as Rhaenys k wording a bunch of commoners in season 1 episode 9 but then not k wording her „enemies“. or even season 2 episode 1 aka the missing of the whole kings guard in the red keep like not a single guard in sight for Blood & Cheese which was quite lazy of the writers cuz they could’ve definitely figured out a way for it to make more sense but oh well as i said those issues don’t consistently arise like with the later seasons of GOT where characters just totally act out of character and stories don’t make sense at all
@@kledi3817 Yes but at least those are somewhat minor problems compared to literal character assassination and a main story that makes no sense
Dragonstone is just off the coast of King’s Landing! Even riding a dragon that’s just… it’s not happening, babe!
That raven would take weeks to get to Daenerys and it would take her weeks to get to the Wall even on a dragon. Never mind that she takes her dragons north of the wall when every dragon in history who has ever been taken to the wall has refused to cross it.
Loving it!
you release a new video every time i have chemo and it makes it 100000x better, thanks brad ♥
People who binge tend to like the show more but I really do think that Brad will hate S8 :(
FUKEN FINALLY!! Most reactors I've seen who are also bingers (like Brad) don't seem to notice any of these. Bingers can't usually tell when it all went to shit. The dialogue got shittier, the fast travels are off, the quality is just overall lower. I love that he calls it out, seems to be done with it but is committed to finish the show 😆. And still he's willing to "enjoy" the process. I love that, King Brad👑
I live for the weird Hellos Brad pls don’t stop those lol
thank you so much for calling jon out because till this day, him wasting time to flex for dany makes me furious because was SO UNNECESSARY, you BOZO 😭😖
JUST MOUNT! THE DRAGON!!
little fun fact about the last season of got, the showrunners d&d rushed to finish it because they wanted to go make a star wars trilogy…
And then didn't they get fired from said trilogy? I could be wrong, but it's hilariously tragic if i'm not
@@joana8615 well, they at the very least haven't shown any signs of being in the process of making any SW atm.
I find it somewhat hilarious that even with the(at the very least in my mind) absolutely horrific storytelling in the vast majority of Disney Star Wars, they still seem to have gone "Nah D&D fucked up too badly" :'D
@@joana8615yes they got fired from it bc season 8 was so bad
i’ve been dreading this moment for so long. genuinely, If House of the Dragon didn’t exist and it wasn’t so fucking amazing, I don’t know if I could even stand to watch Brad react to the really shit moments of S8 because I hate to see someone I like experience the immeasurable disappointment and pain that pathetic ass season causes to the people who actually understand this show and grew attached to the brilliant, nuanced writing and characterwork of the earlier seasons.
@@mymaynee5963 fucked themselves over in the most obvious way possible.
How did they not feel the responsability at that point to make the best show they ever could I will never know.
Like how do you not even give a fuck, with so fucking much riding on it, after making cinematographic history multiple times and with the audience' sheer size and care and investment and just the stakes ffs. I'd understand buckling under pressure, although I wouldn't justify not getting help even then- especially then, before such an insanely daunting task. Rushing through it without seemingly giving a fuck? That alone but also a million other things shows a level of not giving a fuck and of simple disrespect to the work of the thousands of people involved, to the books, to the story, to george (no matter how we feel about him), to the immense audience... what the actual fuck
10:29 the reason you're supposed to be disappointed is cause yes, everyone else fights and murders and blah blah, but Dany is supposed to be different, she's supposed to be a saviour not a tyrant just like all the others, "serve me or die" isn't a choice for anyone with honour.
Although she has spent 7 seasons saying "do what I say or I'll burn you all" so I dunno why anyone is surprised lol
I agree. I also think that no one person should ever have that much power (dragons) at their beck and call. Absolute power corrupts absolutely - no matter how glamorous that person is.
Really breaking the wheel would mean democracy. Those families, including Daenerys would probably rather die that allow that.
I wanna watch S8 again as much as I wanna poke my own eyes out but I'm SO excited to see your reaction, Brad!! And it WAS all Jon's fault, what did he think he was gonna do fight every single white by himself till he got to the night king?!
And Dany did NOTHING WRONG killing the Tarley's!
After the new episode of HOTD I need something fun like this
Lol!!! Same
I have to admit, although I dislike S7 & 8, Drogon, Viserion and Raeghal just hit differently than the HotD dragons
@@ziva9266true. Except maybe vaegar
I have no idea what i'll do with my life after you're finished with GoT 😂
I've truly never enjoyed reaction videos so much! Love you Brad 🖤
1:05:00 Jon is actually still a bastard. Rhaegars and Lyannas marriage was illegal because Rhaegar was already wed and with children
My blood boils every time I see that scene, because there's *no way* anyone would annul Rhaegar's marriage with children and wife from a noble house, and that shows such a lack of understanding of the world it's actually insane to think that D&D made the earlier seasons as well.
it would make make sense if he had just taken a second wife since a few targs did that
When you get to season 8 make sure you turn up your brightness on episode 3 great reaction brad x
I thought it was obvious that sansa and Arya were playing into what little finger wants on purpose from the beginning.
"That AIN'T A BAD THING!" You made me burst here mate!
Brad! The actor that played Dickon 😂 is Tom Hopper. He's also in Tbe Umbrella Academy which is another show you should watch! It's done by Gerard Way of MCR and it's chaotic joy ✌🏻
Recommendations in Discord only, not here. Brad has been very clear about this.
You have my sword, Ser Brad Evans, Lord of the Gooped, Breaker of Boredom, King of the Gagged, Champion of Reunions, Father of Hi
lol. “Teeth man! What is their problem!” Lol needs to be on a shirt lol
I was bowling my eyes out when Night King killed the dragon, but when it opened his blue eyes it was kinda slay
I bend the knee to the House of Brad, slaying us all with content like no other🙌🏻 Thank you Queeen👸🏼
Jorahs father loved him, in the books he tells sam when he is dying to tell jorah he forgives and he should come home and join the nights watch to repent for his crime
I don't think lil Sansa ever wanted to be queen, she just wanted to marry Joffrey and have tons of babies and, like, a storybook romance
Her mind changed
I think there's a difference between wanting to be queen and wanting to marry the kind, you know?
26:42 - Oh hunny you got a big storm coming in HoD
Your reaction to the bear jumping out for the first time is the most I’ve laughed in a long time. Thank you 😂😂😂
Brad you are so wildly entertaining and charismatic that I legit think you'd make it on mainstream UK TV like Rylan Clark.
46:31 CRACKED ME UP THANK YOU BRAD AHAHAH
This is a “pisstake” LMAOOO glidus pisstake flashbacks
I do not say this lightly; you are genuinely my favourite reactor all round on UA-cam. Your vibe, your takes on things, your editing, literally everything is absolute slayage. You are everything 🫶🏼
YES! Call out the double standard! Dany is by all Westerosi custom, a "rightful claimant" to the throne as daughter of the previois king. Cersei literally has 0 claims and anyone following her is a traitor. She also blew up one of the holiest places and killed the Tyrells, the Tarly's liege lord. It makes no sense for them to follow Cersei, except she promised to make their family Warden of the South. better off as ashes those two! byebye
i wish Dont Trust Hannah would do the same as you have with this series! Looking forward to you starting HOTD as well.
Omg I love her too!
YESS I was having a rough day, I cannot stress enough how much I needed this 😭 I luv Brad reactions sm 🩷
After this you should definitely watch house of the dragon, Targaryen bad bitches left right and centre
I strongly feel like he will enjoy it more than GoT! Just a hunch, we'll see :D
“Why do I feel like I’ve heard that before?” Maybe because every other Targaryen is named Aegon 😂
Yes!! Jon really isn't the warrior we've been led to believe.
Fighting for our lives with the last season but at least the actors, CGI people and Ramin Djawadi (soundtrack guy) are putting their best work forward. Major kudos 🫡
Absolutely the most fun reactor to watch on the tube. The edits are fckn hysterical. 💯👏👍
i love jon and theon. theon has such a good story line and how far he's come. i can't wait for the episodes i'm looking foward for you to react to. nah sansa did piss me off tho in this episode. sansa doesn't know what jon went through, and what he had to do. okay she wants to be queen, but not that way. thiing is danny always listened to everyone else every time, now it's her time to take control. she's had enough. difference is jon and danny didn't know they were related, jaime and her did.
43:09
You're going to feel that a lot from here on out
“Why can’t she!”
That’s my point
I always thought aria and sansa's bs was them playing along for little finger, so if he was spying, he'd think it was going his way.
BRAD!!!!! not the "heeeeeeey" while tyrion entered the dungeon 🤣
YES it’s so annoying how everyone else can make harsh decisions in war but they make Dany seem uncompromising when she does it, ugh you don’t even understand, THIS is why I hate the later seasons.
i love that you catch the details very well
daenerys for life ❤❤❤ best character in the show i love her sm
im honestly gonna be so sad when this ends, but i’ll continue binging these reactions over and over again forever. you’re hilarious brad, the editing, the takes, ugh it’s 🤌🏼💋
I love watching the Patreon unedited videos and then coming here to watch the edits!! 😂😂😂 watching them raw I can tell when a funny edit will happen
Danaerys' parents were brother and sister. A little aunt-nephew action is nothing for Targaryens lol
Bran thinking his name would be Sand makes no sense since it was well known Jon was born in Dorne anyway, but still had the name Snow because he was raised in the north
The sound effect change in the blue dragons screech sounds is so chilling.
"Your wishes. My command" love the Charmed reference lol
'Can we pick locks?!?!?
ABSOLUTELY!!!!'
That Tilapia mess' inclusion was top tier 🤣😂😆😅
38:58 the low-pass filter when they plunged into the water was a very nice editing touch 😂
Aegon. Aegon Targaryan where have I heard that before - Every HOTD fan is laughing now.
I'm so excited for you to watch season 8!!!! The grand finale of one of the best shows on TV.
i spent a whole morning watching these on patreon lol ive watched alot of GoT react vids and i get the most excited when i see yours
One detail that I probably took a few viewings to notice in episode 6 Arya/Sansa confrontation was that Arya gives Sansa the dagger at the end of it. So even though her words are threatening her actions tell Sansa that she trusts her.
