- THE WORLDS BEST ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI VS A PRO EATER? Eating Hundreds of sushi? It cost how much? Today we are putting a sushi buffet to the test, is it really all you can eat? Or, will we get cut off at this all you can eat/kicked out of a buffet, or slow plated? Today we are at Mizu in Halifax Nova Scotia for an AYCE sushi challenge! We are going round by round to see how many sushi we can eat. Todays menu included spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna rolls, sashimi, butter fish, salmon, tuna, white tuna, nigiri, avocado rolls, edamame, miso soup, smoked salmon, crab and spicy crap rolls and so many more options! You know what Joel, I really appreciate your appreciation for sushi. I cannot even begin to explain how much love I have for sushi. I would eat sushi much more often if it weren't for it not settling well within my digestive system. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you!
I also agree about the Wasabi. Many love to mix it in the soy sauce and it does taste great.... however, I love a big chunk of Wasabi to consume with a single piece of sushi, nothing better! Wasabi is also very healthy to my understanding so that's just another +++++.

What I love is that the typical all you can eat traps (like rice) have absolutely no effect on Joel and he just eats more than his money’s worth with ease. Truly incredible. I’m honestly jealous.

One thing I learned when I was in Canada, that the US doesn't know how to do all you can eat. The Japanese place in Ottawa that was all you can eat was absolutely amazing! The one thing I do miss.

That type of sushi you show at 10:23 is called "gunkan". Nigiri is a slice of seafood (neta) on top of a ball of rice (shari). Gunkan is a ball of rice surrounded horizontially by a strip of nori forming a bowl which can be filled with chopped or minced ingredients.

My favorite specialty roll:
“Volcano roll” where the top is torched for 10 sec & it has scallops, crab, salmon, mixed in with sweet Mayo and eel sauce & orange fish eggs, all on top of a giant California roll. It’s warm, sweet & savory.

Spicy tuna is my favorite and I do mix the wasabi with soy sauce to a milky form, so it's fairly consistent in spice, until a lump is caught, which takes my breath. I'm well overdue for a sushi run myself, so maybe next week, now that I've watched this.
I love cooked sushi, my favorites are California rolls and Phillidelphia Rolls. The only raw sushi I can tolerate is Spicy Tuna.

I love, love, love sushi. The mango strawberry, banana and mango rolls sound delicious. Tempura sushi is really yummy. I like the crunchy crab rolls best. I love salmon rolls that aren't spicy, I can't eat anything spicy. This was a delicious video to watch. I am always amazed how much food you can eat. I love your steak videos, they all look so good. I am a huge meat eater too.

Sushi is beautiful in its many forms and taste. I've been enjoying tempura fried sushi lately. The texture is wonderful. The soy sauce, ginger, and, wasabi is a great combination. Thank you for giving us "Is Joel Eating Sushi or Weightlifting?" We're getting the best of both worlds.

I don't know how you can eat so much soy with all the sushi due to its water-retention properties. 99% of competitive eaters avoid salty foods unless it is a timed competition..... You are a very unusual guy! (PS: I am a chef) Hooray for your accomplishment!
Joel thank you for coming to nova scotia for mizu! My all time favourite sushi place in NS very fresh and i highly recommend spicy crab hand rolls, sushi fang in the valley doesn't do all you can eat anymore "because of covid 19" but its a you order and brought to you service sucks driving that far just for a meal but you definitely go way further!

Mackerel sashimi is my jam. I don't bother filling up on rice with the rolls. Sashimi all day. Tuna, salmon, mackerel by the boat loads. Love it
