for this season, f-p/m won by virtue of their short dance over a/p. a/p had the stronger long dance, but unfortunately, they fell in that long dance itself

well A\P fell in european championship - so yes, deservedly lost to the italians there.
however, they did not fell in the world's, but the results were still the same.........

I remember they were always against a great French couple who out skated this pair. I never cared for them.

I do not understand how they got high scores. They are a Saturday night live caricature.

It was a beautiful, great preformance...but dang ? With all the thousands of dollars they spend on lessons , costumes ,traveling to competitions, ect.... can't they afford Braces for the buck tooth girls ?

When on earth did it become acceptable to judge a sportsman by their teeth? How does this concern you, as a member of the audience? It's their business if they want to wear braces or not and why. Not everyone has to look like a stereotype.

@@memandi2 In the Figure Skating World and Ballet World ....Looks are very important. It's a shallow , ruthless , Dog eat Dog World where ...if You look like a Tonya Harding and you're competing with a Nancy that has a several thousand dollar outfit on verses.... a home made fifty dollar one...who do you think has the better chance of scoring well with arrogant , jealous , catty , Judges. If your goal is WINNING, being on top of the heap....you have to think these things out. Most Humans, whether they want to admit it or not are very critical of others and first impressions based on looks and what someone is wearing is very important to them. When Tonya realized at Worlds that Looks and who you know are more important than how well she could throw a jump....she felt she had nothing to lose ...because she would always lose in that climate of competition. But she did have something to lose....her dignity , her Soul.... and you lose that easily....but it's HELL to get it back....BTW Braces in the 60s and 70s ruined your gums....now they don't. My brother , who was an Olympic coach never smiled during his years of competition....He had a bad yellowing or permanent stain on his front teeth caused by a Doctor giving him Tetracycline as a child for an infection . People judged him , as cold . It affected his scores... He never smiled or made eye contact with the Judges but skated perfect programs. Now they can easily fix that with porcelain coverings over the affected teeth. It amazing how stupid , seemingly unimportant things can affect your destiny .

If you look closely, you can see that her teeth are actually very straight and white. The problem is with her physiognomy, which makes her teeth point outwards, this could have been a side effect of exactly wearing braces, her jaw may not be wide enough to make the teeth straight and vertical at the same time. A more corrective procedure would probably have been implying a more complicated surgery and would have been much more painful.

@@paulcalinovici8808 I agree....There are others that have that look , especially in Slavic Countries. Just like Certain Skaters over there have very similar Noses that are wide and others have that Mongolian Putin look with close set Eyes. There are so many Ethnic Differences in such a big Country. A lot had boxy square heads till WW2 and Germany started breeding with them ,sometimes with Force. What came out of that was some really attractive young People with German finer features mixed in with the big headed Square jawed Russian features.
