I love this cute little plant, love that it is called tiger jaws and looks like it as well, I hope to add one of these to my collection soon. Thanks again Summer.
I love these succulents 💗 They're a little tough to keep happy here in Central Florida but I'm giving it another go. Just ordered another one😊 I just couldn't resist.
Hi..how do you fertilize when plants are in such tight pots? Its difficult to see the soil when the foliage covers the pot do you use only liquid fertilizer?
Mine's been very happy in 50/50 potting soil and sand for years! They actually need more water than most mesembs, so too gritty will lead to dehydration pretty fast.
@@cooperolm9687 perhaps you live in a hotter and drier climate? My tiger jaws would rot in such a water retentive mix, HOWEVER, that is only because my winters are very rainy; so it helps to have a very gritty mix.
@@cooperolm9687 but I’ll be honest, tiger jaws is one of the hardiest genus in the mesemb family, they can be practically treated like your regular succulents. They can be potted in pure peat and still grow well out doors rain or shine.
That's true, I think she is saying that spider mite can be an indication of low humidity for the plant, in this case is a bit of an expection because usually succulents don't require a lot of humidity to thrive and be resistent to pest.
I bought one at Lowe's and put it in with my outside succulents. It gets weekly watering but the first 3 tongues just split open so so far so good

What a coincidence I got my Tiger Jaws from a plant swap as well. And yes I mist mine to prevent spidermites but its seems to be growing well.
Oh i miss the Cacti Guy!
I more like it to be called tiger jaws than baby aloe. Some plant shop labeled it that way.
Love this plant my got mealy bugs bad and kill it.Hope get one soon.

They have massive taproots, a gritty mix of pumice, turface, chicken grit, and a small portion of soil is best.

I've seen these in shops but they were dark green.

does this need full sun? sorry if you said and I missed it. Thank you
I'm super sad I just bought one not knowing and gave it a large drink... I'll probably wake up tomorrow to a mushy mess 😭
My tiger jaw has white fuzz on it, idk what it is. What should I do?
I believe that's a tuberculosa not a tigrina.
