Amazing detail in your writing. This was so hard to put down. I love the way you are able to perfectly portray the attraction and intimacy with such grace . This just proves that there is no need for graphic, tacky sex scenes so prevalent today.
I love finding historical romance writers who manage to capture the intrigue and imagination without making you feel like you are peeking through someone's bedroom window. Thank you! I enjoyed the story and the narration, as well.
As authoress you have infused the delightfully created story with the flavor and charm. As the narrator you have delivered your own vibrancy and sparkle. You emoted life into this tale of joy & love and kindness.
What a lovely story. You gave us a very strong, independent heroine and a strong, encouraging Captain. I also loved Jane, her companion and friend. Thank you so much.
A wonderful love story. I loved this one so much. But then I am married to a sailor🥰🤣. You have an excellent voice that brings each character to life. Thank you for posting! Blessings to you! 💗Rita
Thank you for sharing your book and for reading it to me. You are an amazingly blessed person. You are a fantastic writer and a terrific narrator. Peace and Love to you and yours. Thank you again!
Delightful story! Thank you for writing and sharing it. I appreciated the h being courageous and resourceful under extreme circumstances, and still wise enough to recognize and accept help from the strong, caring H when it was offered in good faith. It was so refreshing that both Captain Hale and Miss Evie had strong characters with good morals, especially when it came to exercising self-control in the area of intimacy rather than taking the easy route and yielding to their emotions. I've enjoyed your other books, too, and hope you continue to write and narrate (as nerve wracking as that may be. 😊 ) great stories!
Thank you you Catherine Bilson for sharing this audiobook. It is rare to find good authors that can write a novella with so much insight on every level, and with ethics and action❤😊
Mis Bilson you are indeed a great narrator and your writing is equally great, and even though the story is shorter the way you write and narrated didnot leave for wanting after the ending. I am completely satisfied and can tell i clearly love this book. I will continue to follow you. Thank you very much for sharing your talent
Thank you again for your enjoyable story. Once more I was left wanting to read, « the rest of the story ». A sign of a good writer to me is one that leaves you wanting more. My hope is that you’ll post more novellas for us and perhaps find the time to flesh out some of my favorites. My thanks for a lovely afternoon’s listen.
A delightful story plot and great narration all rolled into one super gifted person who gives much enjoyment to all her readers. Thank you very much from Australia.
Lovely story and not to far from real life. Thank you so much for sharing und the reading was very enjoyable too. I look forward to your other stories. All the best ❣
I so adore your books! They are so delightful and charming!!! It's absolutely perfect! Would you make a series out of any of your stories??? They are wonderfully suited to be the promising beginnings of strong series!
Thank you so much! I do have a couple of series. I'm putting up a series of contemporary romance reads at the moment (4 books right now) and then there will be the first 2 of a historical series - I didn't get to record the third one yet but hopefully soon, and the fourth will be written this year!
Thank you! A longer one just gone up today and another one (almost 5 1/2 hours!) next week... but I do tend to write on the shorter side I'm afraid. I'm glad you're enjoying them! And if you love my narration, I have narrated quite a few longer books for other folks, but I don't have the rights to distribute them here sadly. You can check Audible and other audio retailers by searching my name!
@@cathbilson love love your narration.. but don't subscribe to audible. I'll be sure to look at recent books of yours on here though. Thanks for the reply!
@@daniellemccray3735 Do check out library apps and other options like Chirp too. Lots of the authors I work with distribute to Wide stores! And for two authors on here with some of my narration, look for Amelia Shaw (paranormal) and Joanne Wadsworth (Regencies!).
I am new to Ms Bilson. What a delightful story and character development! Thank you so much for the gift of your talents, not only the writing, but narration, also. Thakn you for giving us your book! I am off to find my next one.❤
UGH! This fun story was just too dang short! This, this right here, is why I do not start audiobooks that are shorter than 6 hours... because I will fall in love with it and it will just be too dang short! Oh but this book was so good! Really well written and so fun to listen to. I loved everything about it - except the obvious - it was too dang short! lol And the narration! Could this audiobook be any more perfect!? The author narrated it herself! I bet there is nothing she can't do! lol Holy Heck! I just looked at the channel and there's a book that is 5 and a half hours long - close to 6 - it's super funny but this book had been in my suggestions for over a week now, and because it wasn't longer than 6 hours - I skipped it! What a ninny I am! I listen to a 2 hour book - but skip the 5 hour book! But dang! I am loving this author - and her narration - so of course I now have to subscribe and listen to the other one too!!! lol
Hey there... I have a series of 3 Regency books up now (An Earl For Ellen, A Marquis for Marianne and A Duke for Diana) that is around 15 hours all up. Happy listening!
@@cathbilson Yippee! I will start them as soon as I finish this book I just started... But I did listen to A Marquis for Marianne! It was so so so good! The book I'm into right now is by Grace Livingston Hill. I am seriously in love with her! I just finished the book, The Girl from Montana, by Grace Livingston Hill - seriously great book - you gotta give it a listen - such a unique storyline! It's here on UA-cam :) The book I'm into now is: Not Under the Law... but as soon as I'm done with it I'll start back on all of yours... lol I am honestly flattered you would take the time to write further... that's so amazing to me - an author - messaging me! lol So dang cool! Thank you!
This was a sweet story. Have you ever read any Elizabeth Ogilvie? She wrote in the 70s and 80s. You'll have to look for her Jenny About To Be to see the very similar story line!
2:30:43. The only thing I would change is belief of the Captain in Ava… before Mother found the date of departure was before wedding date on document. Other than that…perfection!
I definitely debated over that myself. I think he felt ashamed of himself afterwards, for having even a moment of doubt, but it's something I think anyone would wonder at.
Bilberries yes, but not the same as the North American blueberry. And not common in England for sure... I grew up in the North Wales countryside and never saw them, though we had blackberries, blackcurrants and many other wild berries growing. Perfectly likely my city-dwelling heroine would have been bemused by them, I think!
I'm absolutely confused as to what book you listened to. The book is literally about THE CAPTAIN'S Runaway Bride. Captain Edmund Hale. The captain and owner of the ship at the heart of the story. I like your stories. I like the shorter format, and also that they are not risque. Just an enjoyable listen. Thank you.
Glad you like them!
The dialogue between the characters feels so real and natural. Excellent work! 😍

I was sitting on the edge of my seat from the very beginning! Amazing , creative , exciting and romantic! Brava!!
How unusual to have an author who is a wonderful narrator. Or are you a narrator that is a wonderful writer.
Thank you! It's hard for me to separate them now :D
So true, funny but not all writers can narrate well.
I like it bc you know the story and how to express it.

Can someone recommend a similar clean romance .

@@cathbilson Interesting thanks. Shame, really, as European blueberries while tasting very similar to American ones, have a more intense flavour.
