Thanks for the variation. This is by far the most Austen - like in style that I have come across recently. It's great to hear a tale written by someone skilled in the use of the English language! 👍 (not too many modernisms, and no Flaunting of the Rules, which I've heard from at least two other Austen developers. A young woman might flaunt her new diamond solitaire, but rules are there to be flouted, are they not?) oh dear, I do sound like the most dreadful snob... 🤭

Spoiler Alert... As a Canadian with fond ties to Newfoundland, I am sincerely glad that this is a fictitious story as I would hate to think of Wickham being set amungst the Innocents in one of my favourite places in the world... I sincerly hope he gets swept overboard before docking in St. John's... LOL I have truly enjoyed many of your other stories. Thank you.

I really enjoyed listening to this and was so sad when it finished a bit too soon for my liking. I could have happily listened to the next turn of events, the wedding and their move 😊 thank you for this golden nugget.

I love my evenings with a nice regency story. But...as nice as it sounds to have a man by your side in case of a fall, holding his hand under your elbow to support you, I really wonder why ladies back then weren't able to stand safely on both feet and looking, for example, at church ceilings with their head on their neck or climbing stairs without support. They were apparently in constant danger of falling...

Excellent...great accents and no ads. Second story I have heard by this author. Really enjoyable.
