I want to open one near an office/ college area and make it antique 1950s style with patio tables in the shape of a coffee mug also trash cans in the shape of the disposable cups . There will also be a lotto table but overall very basic and to bring people in a big window sign small coffee and a Donut for $1.50. The fancier stuff like Canoli, Muffins and breakfast bagels is where the money will come in.
Guess what? Im only 16 and suddenly popped on my mind of building a coffee shop maybe 5-10 years later, so i searched 'bout how to start a coffee shop and so but when I saw, i was suddenly like "oh my" I was a little taken a back lol. Anyways thanks for sharing this.
I can not hear well what they said because English is my 2nd language. Any one who can hear them well can help me to write down their says in text. I need them for my English lession. Thank you / Jessica.
SuperLeap Thank you so much! that is really helpful! I have passion for coffee and reading as many books about coffee as I can to have more knowledge! your response just boosted my confidence! Thank you
I'd say you should be able to make a great cup of coffee, relative to what people are used to in your area. It doesn't have to be world class, but it should be well above average. It's a _coffee_ shop, you should take pride in the product you serve your customers, just as a good restaurant should take pride in the food they serve. You don't have to be like a Michelin star restaurant, but you wouldn't want to be a fast-food chain or cheap chinese restaurant would you? I think it's well worth the effort to take a course run by professionals, invest in good equipment and spend some time honing your skills before you open.
Save money was a big take away I hear from a lot of small business owners because of the highs and lows

We had to close a few months ago. We were in a bad location. We could pay the bills but we weren’t making enough profit to continue
