This is wonderful! Taking college Physiology and now I'm eager to watch all your other videos. My fav part was the channels "Opening up their lids" to allow the Na+ to enter. :)
Thank you sooooooooo much. You are a genius. since I discovered your channel a few mins ago, reading and understanding have become easier. Some professors just throw the textbooks at you and never explain anything.
Ik i comment on basically every video i watch from your channel but i am genuinely so SO thankful for your videos. I am a visual learner and your diagrams and explanation of your diagrams help me SO much, literally no matter what topic i want to understand, your channel has and no matter how difficult that topic may be you will ALWAYS explain in a way I understand ❤
I was not prepared for my Anatomy test. I watched 5 of your videos and I think I just nailed it. Thank you soooo much ❤❤❤❤❤ your classes brought me peace .All the best to you ! Merci Beaucoup !
Can an inhibitory neurotransmitter also cause specific ligand-gated-ion channels to open which will cause cations (probably potassium ions) to diffuse out of the cell thereby making the inside more negative and hence harder to initiate an action potential?
thank you so much!!!! u make it much easier to understand! btw, so if the graded potential never reaches the threshold, we never consciously sense anything, do we?
Yes it is. To be precise there are 3 types of graded potentials: Receptor potentials (at sensory neurons), (Post) synaptic potentials and end plate potentials (in muscle cells). Does that help?
You should rename the channel to Dr Mike & Dr Matt. It will generate a lot of accidental traffic due to people looking for a different, bigger channel by a medical doctor named Mike. While accidental, alot of people will stay cause it's interesting stuff anyways. Win-win situation ;)
Spent 5 hours today trying to understand graded potentials. You clearly explained the overall picture in 6 minutes. THANK YOU!
I have to say that your muscle attracts my eyes so much that I can barely focus on the content
so not appropriate
@@adriana9a womp womp, how is it not appropriate
😹 😹 😹 😹 😹 😹 😹 😹 That's right ❤
You're a guy and that's so not cool or appropriate
Down bad

I can’t thank you enough! Love how you get straight into the explanation and make it so easy to understand!
I couldn’t find a perfect video to understand summations in this easiest way!! Thank you so much Dr.Mike !!!!😭
This is wonderful! Taking college Physiology and now I'm eager to watch all your other videos. My fav part was the channels "Opening up their lids" to allow the Na+ to enter. :)
Thank you Dr. Mike! I graduated college with a degree in biomedical engineering watching your videos!!
Thank you so much. Your excitement to teach this and the drawings that youve made has made this easier to understand

mike your the best teacher in my medical life.
Shout out to this guy for helping me understand this topic I was struggling with in my Neuroscience class🙌🏾🙌🏾
I was not prepared for my Anatomy test. I watched 5 of your videos and I think I just nailed it. Thank you soooo much ❤❤❤❤❤ your classes brought me peace .All the best to you ! Merci Beaucoup !
Thank you for this, I've spent about a week on this topic and this is by far the best material I've come across.

This was insanely helpful. Thank you so much Dr. Mike.
This fully explained what i have been reading in my textbookfor an hour and couldn't grasp !!! thank you
Watching this for my biopsychology class review and it is SO nicely explained!
This is great. You clearly explain and link the graded potential and action potential.
Thanks Dr. Mike! Nursing student here! thanks soo much!
This vid deserves more views & likes
you make it easy! and your energy is contagious!! thanks for the video
An excellent presentation. Thanks!
Thanks a tonne doctor... Really helped during my exam.. 👍👍
I don't know why but it helped me to understand this more with captions and reading out loud to get it through my brain to understand this. haha
perfectly explained last 2 minutes are lit 🔥
Very clear and detailed explanation...thank you!!
Excellent explanation but was distracted by the guns, so had to listen to the explanation a second time. Awesome!
Thank you for making this! I've been confused with graded potential. You made the topic simplistic and the illustration was great.
the actions you make while explaining helped me understand it better! I'll use that "plop plop" when I explain it to my friends😂
This was really helpful in understanding spatial and temporal summation especially, thanks!
Wish we had teachers like you. I really like your explanation. Thank you for making it so simple to understand ❤
Wow, thank you!
Doctor Mike.... you're an inspiration thanks for the amazing help
What a wonderful explanation great job
Thank you for your time and the amazing, easy to understand explanation.

You're such a great teacher 😇

Best lecture ever
Third video today! What a treat 😏👌
thank you so much!!!! u make it much easier to understand!
btw, so if the graded potential never reaches the threshold, we never consciously sense anything, do we?
no, that is why sometimes your finger gets cut and it has been bleeding without letting you know until your eye catches it.
You are a great teacher
Thank you man... 💕💕💕💕
good explanation
Great video! My only question is if temporal and spatial summation can simultaneously occur. And if so, what happens and how does it happen?
you explained this so perfectly, thx!!!
So much more helpful than my teacher, haha! Thanks
Well said! love it! make these well understood! I am stuck with these terms...
me encanto la explicacion. gracias

A question: are the graded potentials the same as the local acute potentials?
thanks for your help
this dude is amazing!!!!
Indeed he is!!!
Is the synaptic potential the same as graded potential?
Yes it is. To be precise there are 3 types of graded potentials: Receptor potentials (at sensory neurons), (Post) synaptic potentials and end plate potentials (in muscle cells). Does that help?
excellent understood well
Excellent
You're the best
شكرا جزيلا … ❤
Wonderful, thank you
