Love how Mike, Noura, and Matt really got into the characters. At first i thought matt was annoying, but his energy actually added alot. Really played it like the character, almost like he is a real actor.... he would be a great shaggy
That's because he realize he's dealing with new players. Any good GM is going to show patience to somebody who doesn't really know the game. Or I would hope they would.
i gotta say, i love the augmented reality direction of hacking in red, it allows for so much more ghost in the shell shenanigans while actually making hackers a viable pc rather than what always ended up being an npc in our games due to the complete divorce of the hacker from the rest of the party, and the creep factor of the ship is beautiful
So fun, hope this becomes a regular group. Mike's voice is heavenly :) Lillard is so fantastic, gotta find more play group videos with him! Beast is seriously, no nonsense.

Absolutely love that Mike did a vocal effect (for the AI controlling the ship) similar to "The Master" of Fallout 1. (An amalgamation of flesh and machinery, but more machine by the time the player meets them) In FO 1, The Master speaks in an EERIE mix of calm, irate, soothing, irritated male and female voices spliced together to make sentences. I could tell he was doing something like that by the way he was speaking with the punks aboard his cargo ship.

I am over 15 years without gaming (I ‘m 42, and a programmer), and I began searching for CP77, ended founding you guys... already took the dust of my 25 years old CP2020 from the shelf and read it all out again... now I gotta figure how to find a CP group online to play like you guys... BTW, our beloved Pondsmith is a killer sadistic GM! I love it!
I would have invited the AI to come with the party. Transfer it to a hand held device or something like that. 15 years aboard that ship is an awfully long time to be separated from such a large world. It would likely be tempted.

I love the fact that the session was 99% theater of the mind and the last session was 100% theater of the mind. When does not need maps and Miniatures to play a role playing game. This isn't risk it's an RPG.

I know I am years late to this, but I think it is funny to have the Ann Boleyn references. I can remember meeting and seeing Matt play a character that was a mud beggar named Jeep Jeep at the Sterling Renaissance Festival in the 90s before he had even done the Scream movie. And that place was set during the time of Elizabeth I (Ann Boleyn's daughter)!
Hahahaha after the re-cap (takes about 10 minutes) Max-Mike finishes reminding everyone about the robotic crabs with buzzsaw claws, and goes, "What do you wanna do, Lucky? Besides being muted?" My man Mike was very politely hammering people for just keeping their mics muted last session lol. He was right, he's experienced, he can take people clamoring over each other.

TBH the whole squad isn't really good with tech or ill-equipped it seems. Bad mics, trashy cams and also cereal keeps forgetting to add his INT to his rolls it seems.
The difference between how Matt runs his games and how Mike runs his....yikes, I feel bad for the crit role crew as they get their asses handed to them. Mike seems like a tough DM lol. I'd be dead within the first couple hours from the sounds of it.

We have fixed it 4 times, and youtube keeps reverting our changes. Its honestly so frustrating. It only happens on our cyberpunk videos. You can check every one of our other videos. We’re pretty judicious in our placing of ads when given proper control.

This is awesome bringing back my Cyberpunk 2020 days. Going to run Cyberpunk Red soon, I have an idea for a mission or run. Going to watch Part 3 as soon as I can.
Mike's had quite the varied career as a game designer. He contributed to one of the early Forgotten Realms sourcebooks for D&D, but the Cyberpunk line is his masterpiece. Red is more of a team effort that Mike lead. James Hunt did a lot of the balancing and fine tuning.
Nobody picked up on it either. His Int is what...9 ? On top of every roll after the first what 3 ? And the netrunner seems a pretty difficult class to play. There's 2 worlds you're running. Interesting for sure, but if it's your 1st playthrough, it might be hard. Especially if you keep missing out on somrthing stupid like +9.

Beast acts more like a "Serial Killer" than a "Paladin."
I mean paladins were just combat proven knights. So paladin is playing his character to its definiton.
