Yoga is very specific, a method to create balance around spiritual centres in the parasympathetic channel whereby the two sympathetics are brought into balance so as to not constrict the parasympathetic.
The two sympathetics cater to physical/mental on one side and emotional/subconscious on the other!
Any extreme of either sympathetics takes us away from our core!
I'd argue that yoga isn't very specific at all, not in the modern practice and marketing of it. It's a malleable term that now fits what the practitioner choses to get out of it, which is often exploited for marketing purposes. In fact, in the modern fitness lexicon, "Yoga" is now a catchphrase for stretching.
Mark Singleton's book, The Yoga Body , delves deep into the history of yoga, and how the modern practice has few ties to its ancient roots beyond brand name. This is both a bane and a doorway to possibility, since we have the freedom to adapt a practice that fits our journey and value system, but we're also subject to the pitfalls of a practice becoming a product.
You have found a specific value that aligns with your path. The term, however, refuses to be one thing for everybody, for better or worse.

@@antoniospanayiotou8619 You'll have to take that up with the yoga schools in the early 1900s (primarily in Mysore) who can be credited for the rise of the modern yoga trend. For a couple centuries prior, however, "yoga" and "yogis" were derogatory slang terms for for street-side beggars and hustlers, steering quite far from the legends accredited to Patanjali. It seems, over hundreds of years, a word's meaning, application, and ideology can change repeatedly. Agan, for better or worse. But history shows that the human trend of linguistic malleability has rarely changed in the face of dogmatic loyalty.
