As a _massive_ Furukawa fan: thank you for your service! :DDD This segment made me so happy, it's nice to see him being appreciated! And yay, fellow Kazuma enjoyer! I'm not usually into childhood friends but I ended up with a soft spot for him (though a sizeable part of my fondness might be sheer VA bias...). I liked that he was more complex than he initially appeared. On the whole, I was a bit let down by Lover Pretend (though it did teach me more about what I cared and didn't care about story- and writing-wise, so it's all good!) but his and Yukito's routes were definite highlights for me. LP strikes me as the kind of game you'll have a very marked opinion on depending on the kind of player you are and what you look for in an otoge, so it was pretty nice to get a wholly different take from mine! The way you were speaking of Chiyuki in particular made me smile. She's kind, she's driven, she tries her best, and I completely get how you'd relate to her and how it would enhance your experience. And people loving heroines in general has me ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა Thank you for this dose of wholesomeness! I'm off to watch your Otome Summer recap now. (It's barely started and I'm torn between wanting it to never be over because who knows if the announcements will ever be this plentiful again?? and wanting the months to speed by so I can buy everything -and likely add to my piles of backlog- Oo)

I normally prefer the more action packed/darker themed otome games, but LP took me by surprise and had me smiling the whole time! I guess I just need a little dose of fluff every now and then! 😂 Honestly Furukawa has become one of my favourite voice actors and his roles in otome games are just perfection. 💕

I remember seeing the lover pretend trailer back when I didn’t have a switch and I didn’t know what it was but it looked cute. The ikemen series initially got me into otome first and I end up spending so much money on them so I thought I might just get a switch. Ikerev was my absolute favourite.💔 I’m gonna start with collar x malice and cupid parasite first I already got the box edition before the switch. 😂 I feel like seeing the lover pretend trailer was a sign that I was gonna fall into yet another rabbit hole. Thanks for ur videos, it’s surprising to me how all ur interests and hobbies r so relatable and it made me feel like I’m not on my own. Plus idk if it’s just me but ur voice is so cute and cheery, i end up thinking I should give anything a chance. I feel like I’m listening to a friend talk about how much they love otome whilst sharing the same level of enthusiasm and excitement about it. That’s probably why I love ur reviews it’s ur cheery vibes and energy. Also I love ur manga collection!!

I know exactly how you feel when it comes to the amount of spending you put into those games, I was the exact same 😅 Collar x Malice and Cupid Parasite are two great games so I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! Although at times it feels like there's not many of us, we're slowly getting a bigger fan base and I think we're all just spread out worldwide so it's hard to connect all of us together. I’m new to otome games, and I just finished my first being Olympia Soirée, so this one might have to be next! I need a lighthearted romcom after OS crushed my heart and soul hahaha
What a great choice for your first otome! Olympia Soirée is my absolute favourite 💕 I know exactly how you feel when you say Olympia Soirée crushed your heart and soul, Himuka's route had me bawling my eyes out. 😆 I would highly recommend Lover Pretend or Cupid Parasite if your looking for something more lighthearted! Cupid Parasite has a few serious moments but overall it's a hilarious romcom that had me in stitches during most of my playthrough 😂

At first, I was into Kazuma until I see the happy ending. Without spoiling, Kazuma's reasoning for why he became friends with her put a bad taste in my mouth and he's just not what I would consider to be a good friend. I didn't really see it as a happy ending, and the kind of friend that he ended up being made me wish the protagonist left him behind. Overall, I still enjoyed your review even if I myself wasn't too fond of it in comparison to other otome games that I've played.
I totally understand where you're coming from. I know I saw a few other people online that had the same opinion about Kazuma. I personally felt like he had some good growth and character development by the end game, but I do understand how his whole reasoning can leave a bad taste in peoples mouths. @buttercupvenus So far, my favorite is Harumi. The fact that he's an introvert and awkward AND an Otaku felt so relatable. I also like that the protagonist was more honest with him from the beginning and wasn't afraid to call him out of he did something wrong. Like when he took them out to the botanical gardens for work.

I can't stand stories where that's a possibility of dating a relative, even if they're step-siblings. I only ask this question because 3 of the 4 known LIs have fathers who could possibly be Chuyuki's dad.

Honestly all these men are top tier! Riku is my second favourite right after Kazuma, him and Chiyuki have great chemistry and his CG's are amazing! 💕
