I was there and saw the entire 'Nuit Reggae' in Montreux, with Steelpulse, Dennis Brown and Peter Tosh. What an event and I am very thankful it's all recorded and posted here!
Wow, you're so Lucky. I wish I could've been there with you Man. I've seen Steel Pulse Twice. I was supposed to go see Peter Tosh in 87. My Roommate was in Law School and he was a Waiter at The Hotel Restaurant where Peter Tosh stayed. My friend waited on him. Most all the Musicians Stayed at The Vernon Manor Hotel when they were Playing at this Club in Cincinnati Ohio near the University of Cincinnati Campus. I also got to see Ziggy Marley Twice. Stephen and KY-Mani Marley Damien Marley in Lake Worth Florida, in 2008. One time I was listening to Peter Tosh while I was wrapping up flower Bouquets at my Flower Stand in Boca Raton Florida when I was living down there and a Lady came up to me and told me that she went to School with Peter Tosh. You just never know who you're going to meet?
bravo ; une chance mais aussi une reconnaissance d'avoir supporter la venue du reggae dans ces jeunes années... j'espère que tu as danser et rester debout

Lloyd Parks & We The People, featuring Dean Fraser & the Ras Brass. Every one of these musicians is famous in their own right. The keyboard player, Bubbler Waul, went on to be an awesome producer. Bo Peep played guitar with the Xterminator Band in the 90s - played on Luciano's classics, Bushman's first album etc. Chinna of course played guitar with Bob Marley & The Wailers. Dean Fraser and Nambo are probably the 2 most recorded horn players in Jamaican music, playing on basically everything through the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
my bro was there in Montreux thanks Claude Nobs we loose him also, RIP threesome my brothers in Love and Peace guys it was recorded on vynil. I heard my bro recorded by singing in the audience, best time in my life bro I miss you so.......

@28:25 Big ups to the Drummer and the pianist who kept the beats going for a the other band members to dance around sweeping the audience into a frenzy...what a concert!!!
This is exactly what live band does and should always do! You see it also in Third World, Steele Pulse and the Wailers. Keen insightfulness! These men use to dance in the good old gospel church.

All the tracks were primarily taken from three (3) albums. They were "Words of Wisdom" (1979) "Wolves and Leopard" (1978) and "Visions of Dennis Brown" (1976). Dennis might have been around 22 at the time of this Great Concert.
Nobody comes close to Dennis. Zero! easily the greatest reggae artist and arguably the greatest singer of all times.
🇯🇲 Dennis brown is the greatest vocalist in the entire reggae world
