By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't and, arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation; the variation being the difference between where the missile is and where it isn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it, too, may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows: because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be to a position where it isn't and, arriving at a position where it wasn't from where it was, it now follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't or vice versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it was, the system acquires another variation; the variation being the difference between where the missile is able to obtain the deviation and its variation to the position where it now is, If this variation is considered to be a significant factor, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, it follows to a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. However, the missile must also know where it was at this point. The missile guidance computer scenario works only as it should be to a position where it isn't and, arriving at a position where it wasn't from where it was, it now is, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it isn't, also within reason, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
All ATGM has that sound, because IRL that squeking sound you hear is a compressed air shooting off the front plastic cover of the missile tube before the missile leaves the tube
One thing that just hit me… WT banks on each update dropping more vehicles. They’re close to the point where they can’t add more without too many modern issues. Gaijjin needs to focus on its updates focousing on everything _but_ adding more broken vehicles. Fix naval. Refine ancient maps. Br changes. Fix CAS issues. Helicopters. And on…
But how the hell are they gonna sell bug fixes man? They can't charge you 59.99 for BR fixes and map fixes. But they can carge 59.99 and more for a broken "unique" new vehicle. If they can't sell it, they won't make it. Now please be a sweethearth and buy that IS-7 on the gaijin marketplace.
Same thing people have said for 5 years... Agreed totally, but they have no ears over at WT headquarters.... (especially now they have to pay their tencent masters their cut)...
Just checked Chinese media that this thing was a private venture trying to get army contract but apparently failed hard lol... barely generated 10 marketing articles online. Guess the only rationale to this thing is to use up old 59 chassis nobody wants anyways.
British t-tree light vehicle tree, Russian wheeled vehicles, Israel IFVs, etc etc etc. there are still LOTS of vehicle than can and do need to be added.
Which means in a battlefield full of hot gun barrels, fires, explosions, and burning vehicles, it's going to get super confused. Forbidden heat signature too since it goes up.
It is right to assume this is paper - the QN506 was meant to sell the turret to customers like the Italian HITFIST or Russian Brerezhok etc Anyways im working steady towards this, would be fun as a help to finish up China TT
Battle for Arachis with the giant worms also had the fire and forget missile. You need to keep line of site and a strong lock to have any semblance of success.
@0:20 How I feel in my Lav w/ the damn missle launcher😂🤣 For having big missiles, they sure do struggle to actually blow the heavies up. Then again I think the era usually just eats it
It seems like more of a support reconnaissance vehicle. Not meant to push up far nor assault objectives. I think it will be a flip of the coin in terms of supportive AAA and intercepting light targets that may be trying for a cheeky position assuming you can get to them before they get to you or a friendly
if a batallion of tanks had like 2 of these "support" tanks to go along with every 5 normal MBTs it just might offer enough of a punch. but the armor being so thin makes it an easy target.
I have so many questions about the particulars of this thing, especially the mechanics of the IR missiles. Like, I'm assuming the commander's sight is in the giant optics on the top. If so, can you designate a target for the IR missiles using the commander's binos? Like, can you pop that massive scope over a hill while the rest of it is still fully behind cover, target something, and then fire off a missile and have it fly over the hill since it's going to go for a top-down strike anyways, all while never poking a single piece of your turret over the top? If so, it at least would have potential as a vehicle that can harass enemies from basically complete safety, even if the missiles themselves are pretty lackluster against most tanks thanks to the center of mass targeting getting its explosive mass caught up in barrels and optics and stuff. If it doesn't work like that, I could see it being okay to middling at removing light tanks from their sniper spots after your fodder - I mean, teammates - reveal them by dying.
From what I've seen and tested, you can lock onto things with the commanders sight, but only if the missile pods have line of sight to the target. Which means that basically the entire turret has to be exposed. Sometimes it doesn't even let you lock even if you can see the target with the gunners sight. And from what I've seen in Spookstons video, it also doesn't seem to let you lock onto tanks that are hull down, but Phly just locked some tanks with similar parts sticking out from behind cover, so IDK.
@Electprism the lock system is incredible unreliable, I have the EC 665 UHT with PARS (FAF) and I have died so many times because of the lock doesn't work even if the whole target hull is available, same against helicopters, I have to switch back and forth my ATGMS and AAM to try to fix that issue.
@@electprism2136 This is what I figured, as IR missiles usually have their own IR sensor package that they use to lock and track a target rather than being fed data about the target's location from the vehicle itself and then acquiring the target after launch or something. Which really limits the usefulness of this thing unfortunately, even when/if the targeting system works. It really doesn't seem like it fills any role well enough in game to be useful. Too slow to be a light tank/hunt light tanks and IFVs, too fragile to be an MBT of any kind, and too little penetration on any of its weapons to be targeting MBTs itself, especially with those missiles shooting center of mass.
There’s some obscure or paper tanks/planes, a lot of them, even from WWII, but the problem is for example, a P-43 Lancer doesn’t make update headlines as well as a F-15

The missile forgets where it is because you fire where it isn't.

"Fire and forget missile."
You fire the missile, and it forgets what is the target.
Works as advertised - 10/10
its the same with that italy chopper similar missiles, never hit the target
After you fire the missile you can forget about it killing anything
