- Tyson Gay is a champion track and field athlete from America who participated in the Olympic games twice - 2008 and 2012. He is the second fastest athelete, right behind Usain Bolt in 100 m sprint. At the 2012 Olympics, Tyson Gay came in 4th spot for the 100 m race beaten by Justin Gatlin for the third place by just 0.01 seconds.

This dude used to lap Assafa Powell...man Asaffa was a beast, just shows how beastly this Tyson Gay was...he seemed intense in each and everyone of his races,he gave it all and tore the race track apart.
Unequivically best Sprinter to date.. I mean how he smokes the opposition in the final 40! The speed generated is unrivalled.

@@Someone-hi1nt Yeah Bolt did have his purple patch, but wasn't a scratch on Tyson Bolt as a Sprinter. Analysis has proven that if Usain bolt was the same height as Tyson Gay, Tyson Gay would be the faster Sprinter by quite a margin over 100m..
@@kindredspirit6654 incorrect, taller sprinters have a much harder time getting out of the blocks and thats why you see other guys around bolts height (prescod, ryan bailey, etc) struggle so much at the start... 100 generally isnt enough distance to make up that much ground, and thats why you see so many sprinters around the 5'10 range, thats the perfect height to optimize your start but also have good top end potential, if bolt was 5'10 hed likely have the fastest start of all time and be very difficult to catch given hes already split a 6.31 60 at 6'5 lol

From professional analysis Tyson Gay is a better Sprinter. Other professionals such as Michael Johnson have also sided with the stats stating Tyson Gay is a better Sprinter than Bolt. But obviously it's not judged that way - it's who runs the fastest times and gets to the line quicker than the rest of the field who ends up being remembered by the general population.. How it is.
@@kindredspirit6654 incorrect, statistics show that taller sprinters actually run slower because their split times over the opening stages are way worse than those of average-height sprinters, and again 5'10-5'11 is generally seen as the optimal height for sprinters because that gives them the best balance for top-end and starts
