@whitelightningPCC true, I believe the things you mentioned (strength, reaction) have a pretty strong effect on natural form, stride length, turnover etc. but to a certain point of coarse, as in not all of it comes naturally, Bolt's stride length for example is much more natural than his turnover (which is super quick considering his size).

usain bolt has bad starts too, not as bad as this one though. i think tyson gay is the most powerful runner ive ever seen, bolts world records are down to his superior stride length, he needs far less strides to cover the one hundred metres than any other sprinter.
@@shaunhumphreys6714 speed is speed. I remember the excuses for Gay in 2009 and still see them here. Bolt ran this exact time with NO wind, and while slowing down. Bolts top end speed and speed endurance is simply better than Tyson Gay's ever was. Start, no start.. Bolt was just better. That's it
@@SirMan48 no agree bolt was the best. especially his speed endurance, and he being taller legged required way less stride lengths to complete the one hundred metres than any top sprinter in history. basically bolt doesnt even have to turn over his legs as fast as the other sprinters, so bolt can achieve a higher top speed more easily, and definitely bolts top speed has been recorded as higher than anyone. when he broken the world record which is the current record for one hundred metres bolt was even slowing down at the end, plus bolt is notoriously bad starter. he normally doesnt lead the race until half way through which is when he nears tops speed, then he maintaining that top speed surges past the other runners in the last thirty-forty metres.
@EPizits agree, Powell's in great shape this season, looks like his top-end speed miht have improved slightly. I'm still cheering for Bolt in Deagu but it would be nice to see Powell win his first individual gold. I hope Bolt runs well in Monacco next week, if he doesn't I might have to put my money on Powell
@PowerSprinter I think wind is a pretty big factor even though +2.0 is within the legal limits. I agree that Gay hasn't ran his perfect race yet, along with Powell. I'm pretty sure Bolt hasn't either IMO, I think he'll lower his WR's in Daegu next year and if not, then he probably will at the Olympics. Did u see Carter's 9.78 today?
Bolt might be the one with more talent than anybody else EVER..but I think tyson is absolutely the best one..never saw anyone run like him in this race..if he only had the height of Bot maybe Usain wouldn't be the WR holder
Can't wait to see what Gay does at the Olympics this year. If he can stave off injury after the last couple years of running REALLY fast, I think he could so do some serious damage. Looks to be exciting this year--Bolt, Gay, Powell, Johan Blake. The fastest guys in the world right now, unless I'm forgetting someone. These cats are also being pretty consistent, from what I've seen...
+Samuel Khoo Even still. That time would be impressive. If you noticed how in the background they were all screaming "Gay! Gay!!" Because they thought he at least had some kind of chance. If he had a better start and was at peak condition. I'm telling you. his time would be way better than this.
Top speed has a limit of around 10m if he was a faster starter he'd be a faster decelerater. Sprinters either hit that top speed early (fast at the beginning) or hit that top speed late (closer to the end) never both.
+Hengel Andrews You have a good point. However. Let's just say someone was born with certain traits that allowed them to do this. would they be the fastest alive?

With a very good start he can run 9.59!
Sprinter625 9.59 not 9.57?
@whitelightningPCC true, I believe the things you mentioned (strength, reaction) have a pretty strong effect on natural form, stride length, turnover etc. but to a certain point of coarse, as in not all of it comes naturally, Bolt's stride length for example is much more natural than his turnover (which is super quick considering his size).
Yea you're absolutely right man. He's such a guy that really deserves all the best. Blake vs Gay can be a fantastic battle if both stays injuryfree and in are in topform, there's nothing to do about Bolt when he's in form tough.
Dayyymn! Gay’s 9.69’s is still second fastest 100m run ever
I'll tell you even more: none of The Five Wizards of Track and Field was beaten, they still rule!
Third because Usain has the first two better times (9.58 and 9.63)
If Tyson had the great start, he could easily break 9.65.
Agree. Tyson Gay is probably the only one in history that stands a chance against Bolt. It's a shame that he never fixes his starts
@@flawlessmsc Blake too.
@@flawlessmsc was*
@@khumokwezimashapa2245 Not only you are dumb just to reply about a grammar usage, you are even being wrong at it. You are literally a moron. And that's exactly how you are look like
@@flawlessmsc Nobody stands a chance against prime Bolt. Ain't nobody running faster than 9.58 lol
Tyson has began his season with a 9.86 and is consistently getting good starts. While Usain began his season at 10.0 something. The world championships should be exciting.
oh, drop it.
tyson gay is one of the sport's true class acts. he deals with injuries like a pro, and he congratulates others, win or lose, like a gentleman.
grow up.
@CawChampionshipWE Usain bolt top speed
jimmy? wtf i woulda never expected to find u here
Fr lol @@devo6704
It's a shame that Tyson Gay never shows improvement in his start
He could definitely have been as fast as Bolt, or even faster than him if he got his start right
flawless mr don’t even say that cause bolt started of slow to because of hit long legs
I thought the same thing. If he starts anything similar to Asafa in this race he runs sub 9.6
usain bolt has bad starts too, not as bad as this one though. i think tyson gay is the most powerful runner ive ever seen, bolts world records are down to his superior stride length, he needs far less strides to cover the one hundred metres than any other sprinter.
Torrepr, I'm going through your comment again. Do you happen to know where the Shanghai splits can be found?
@EPizits agree, Powell's in great shape this season, looks like his top-end speed miht have improved slightly. I'm still cheering for Bolt in Deagu but it would be nice to see Powell win his first individual gold. I hope Bolt runs well in Monacco next week, if he doesn't I might have to put my money on Powell
I feel sorry for him. Why did he have to test positive? He's such a great and humble athlete and opponent.
0:09 powell was like you want some after this race to gay
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@rcaddict72
Where was Bolt this season? Interesting to see if he can ever duplicate his 09 season.
Height of Bolt would mean slow out of the blocks. A 6ft 5 guy can never accelerate like a shorter athlete.
drugs working nothing else look even his face is ripped as hell
@@MockingBrd.yet somehow Bolt was able to lead the pack from 15 meters in the world finals!
Tyson Gay nice
Fantastic run.great sprinters.I think they can very good football play
My Gawd.. For his height, that was lightening fast!!!! Freaking phenomenal.
I always admire Tyson Gay; the best sprinter ever.
He was the closest to usain bolt.
@phastman99
exactly, my friend :)
How is your training and what time do you have in 400?
Can't wait to see what Gay does at the Olympics this year. If he can stave off injury after the last couple years of running REALLY fast, I think he could so do some serious damage.
Looks to be exciting this year--Bolt, Gay, Powell, Johan Blake. The fastest guys in the world right now, unless I'm forgetting someone. These cats are also being pretty consistent, from what I've seen...
Kinda makes you think... if Gay had a better start.. Would he have broken the record? He obviously won't do it now. but still.
+Samuel Khoo Even still. That time would be impressive. If you noticed how in the background they were all screaming "Gay! Gay!!" Because they thought he at least had some kind of chance. If he had a better start and was at peak condition. I'm telling you. his time would be way better than this.
+Samuel Khoo Maybe your right. Maybe we have to wait for the next generation of people for this record to be broken
HrobrineTheLegend Flo Jo was like that, she held top speed for 30+ meters. Yes they definitely would be fastest alive, even if they had a slower top speed than people they ran with.
too powerful for his own body
without words.
Thank you because you are a fan of what is real.
To Caesar what is Caesar!
Bolt ran that exact time a year before with NO wind, an UNTIED shoelace, in an OLYMPIC final while CELEBRATING and SHUTTING IT DOWN 20 METERS BEFORE THE FINISH LINE

asafa powell has the best starts in all sprinters but he can't stay at top speed a long time like usain bolt

Liguei o forno a 180ºC. No meu forno levou 50 minutos. (Nesta receita não vale o palito, para ver se está cozido ou não. Pois o mesmo sai sempre húmido, pois o bolo é muito (húmido). O que vale é a vossa experiência...
He has run 9.71 and 9.69 because he has improved his first 50 meters as ever, but he can continue to improve even more, of course...
スタートもったいない(*´Д`*)
u guys do know that Tyson ran such a fast time because of the larger amount of headwind 2.0
it was a legal headwind, so your point is irrelevant
+Inception3k are u disabled when did I say it wasn't legal. so ur point is irrelevant
+micheal adams No, you're disabled... If it is legal, why mention it, period? people born without a brain, boy I tell ya.
+micheal adams facepalm
+micheal adams Tyson ran 9.71 in that race.
@Bajinjo Your start has nothing to do with your top end speed endurance. It simply has to do with how fast you get to your top speed...
i feel really bad for tyson. he has worked extremely hard his whole life dedicated to nothing but track and field. he put his heart and soul into the race just needing a medal to fulfill his dream. he had to go through 2 major surgeries and fight back only to fall short by 0.01 seconds! he really deserves at least a medal. i hope the best for TYSON gay! a career like that shadowed by the usain bolt era. i wish him the best in whatever future endeavors he continues to do.
This should have been the fastest or 2nd fastest 100m time ever. His start was so awful with a decent start he runs a 9.57 or faster but than again if Bolt doesnt throw away 30m in the Olympics he prolly runs a 9.5 flat lol. I think Gays last 50m is the fastest a human has ever run on earth tho.
nah 27.78 mph achieved by Bolt.
+NICK SMITH You are stupid as fuck
DarkJusticeZ You are so fucking stupid holy shit. Before you argue try to look up REAL things that HAPPENED. Bolt's fastest 10m split is 0.81 Gay's fastest is 0.80 also Ben Johnson is the fastest human ever to run 10m split. He did 0.81 with -1.5 WIND that with +2.0 would be 0.80-0.79
DARK LORD
but how is usain bolt that much faster than
DarkJusticeZ Faster in 100 meters but not the fastest human ever.
Powell is always like this when somebody passes him, he just gives up and let him win, kinda annoying
@TheAngeltoDemon I'll admit, Bolt was a little last year when he took the year off, but other than that I don't think he's as lazy as some think. He trains way harder now than he did in 07, that's one of the reasons he improved so much
@torrepr I'm pretty sure Bolt's earliest confirmed race this season is his 100m in Rome against Powell on May 26th and Gay's suppose to be joining Wariner in a 4x400m at the Texas relays on April 9th. chances are we won't see any Bolt vs Gay till the world champs though, like in 09.
Powell gets great starts but doesn't have the top speed the bolts and Gay's have.
Demonte Johnson He used to be faster, when he did his 9.72 he was practically jogging.
Nor does he have the mental strenght
Powell definitely has the top end speed of Gay. The thing is that Powell hits his top speed earlier than Gay, thus allowing Gay to zoom past him near the end.
If Gay would've started off right he'd probably run 9.5's that start off was trash compared to what we've been accustomed to.
@inerfyr I agree. Tyson reaches his top speed later than Powell, so he also maintains it longer. That's why he finishes so strong.
@strikemike your right about that, and i think hes been working hard at it lately to make it good. the day will come when tyson is healthy and has a good start. we can expect a great time from him..
