Can someone tell me what the welded on pipe holes located near the base and in the middle on each side are for? One could insert a steel rod or long lug bolt into each side and possibly use for lifting by 2 people?
I've got that identical compactor and I love it. I just leave the throttle at idle position, put the choke on, and it starts with one pull every time! I use a Harbor Freight wheel dolly to set it on in my garage, that way I can move it around easily. I just tip it forward using the handle, kick the dolly under it, and let it back down. Easy as pie once you get the hang of it. It doesn't take up much space in my garage, but it works like something twice its size. My property is very hilly, so I'm doing a lot of dirt work to level parking areas for my trailers, drainage for my quarter mile driveway, and a new wood lot complete with sawmill. This thing compacts class 5 and crushed concrete perfectly. I'm very pleased with it and have yet to find anything negative. I'm sure you'll be happy with yours also. Good luck!
Lol, that was awesome... i was LOL when as it decided to run away after the suggestion to keep it running on idle for 5 mins... good stuff buddy! Have been contemplating one of these myself but may rent first... i'm running out of storage space for all my DIY equipment... haha Ugh! hate to hear about the extra work you ended up with. Nothing is easy these days. Good luck with the refill and setting. Looking forward to seeing the new block footers. - Josh
I don’t have that particular item but I have had nothing but success with those predator engines. Not everything at HFT is great but those engines impress me.
I spilled quite a bit of oil trying to use that homemade funnel so I think that’s probably what you saw thanks for the tip on doing it in layers are. I ran that compactor all day today and I did try to layer it but I was probably thicker than recommended Thanks for watching
It is disappointing. With the supply chain issues that we have it was hard to find even a second brand to compare to I pretty much had to take the only one that was available at the time

Thank you for sharing my friend. All your comments make it sound like we do pretty similar work
Good luck its definitely a feat. Looking forward to seeing it done.
Thank you sir
💥 Making progress Brock! Great video!
*Keep on tractoring!*
Thanks
Great video. I just got that same machine from Harbor freight today. Going to try it out for a base of a retaining wall.
Thanks . I just got it about a month ago but I’ve probably already used it on four or five different places around the property.
Thanks for watching
Sounds like you've got a plan, I agree concrete prices are ridiculous...

Thanks for watching my friend
I think the block will work out fine. Sorry you have to go back and do all that work to get back to where you were already.
Yeah, kind of a bummer but I’m just glad that it’s done now
Very good
go with the crete buddy, sweaty once smile every day after. (ya know I'm right, take a vote)
Grt videos!!
Thanks

I ran it all day today.
Very consistent performance
How is the plate compactor working out for you?
I have used it quite a bit. No problems at all with it. Starts easy. Does a good job
@@RockhillfarmYT - Cool! Thank you sir.
What kind of gas did you put in it
I have a 50 gallon yes reservoir in my equipment shed. I believe it has 89 octane with fuel stabilizer in it
Looks like it was leaking oil at the end of the video. Make sure as you fill you do 3-4 inch’s and pack in between each layer.

@@RockhillfarmYT long term how did it go try to compare T more than you should? I have a base that is anywhere between 6” to as much as 8”.
Made in China, so sad we can't make them in USA.

Another you tuber had same-one and the nuts under the plate came lose so watch out for that
And another you tuber had one with no problems. He also used those big blocks to make a firewood storage bin.
Wow was just letting him know what could happen. Guess was the wrong thing to do. Oh okay I’m out of here
I’ll keep an eye on the nuts
Mike Morgan is the one who got my mind on using one of these. Been watching him for years
